Really easy to setup and got 4 for 19 so bargain. I’ve had issues with smart plugs not working with my BT router but these worked straight away. And they work with google home also.
Would recommend
Used the Smart Life app to set these up as previously suggested by another reviewer. Been in use now for over four weeks and no problems still obeying Alexa commands at home and away. Used them initially every day for switching outside Christmas lights on and off and now using for other applications around the home with no problems. Also using a couple of Tapo ones but much prefer these so far.
I was very impressed with this product being my first purchase of smart plugs. I will ordering another today. 2 small issues. The first was that their own app was unable to link the devices to Alexa. After numerous attempts and after research I downloaded the “Smart Life” app from the playstore which connected to Alexa with no issues. The second issue was the initial set up. When adding a couple of the devices the app wouldnt show my wi-fi, it was greyed out confirming it was 5GHz, but you need 2.4GHz for the devices to work. Luckily you do have the option to enter your wi-fi details manually which solved the problem for some unexplained reason. This was more than likely an issue with the Smart Life App. For the price I will highly recommend.
This is the second time in a fortnight I’ve been left unable to control these as their online server is “unresponsive” to Alexa and Google Home devices. When they work it’s fantastic but I’ve lost confidence in them.
*edit* after searching online, it’s recommended I dump the unreliable Nooie App and use the Smart Life or the Tuya App. You just have to make sure your phone is connecting to the 2.4G band on your router to set them up. So far so good.
I spent a long time without success trying to get these to connect with my BT wi-fi, gave up in the end and they’re still in a drawer somewhere. I’ll get the 5 GHz next time.
I’ve had dozens of plugs over the years and these were by far the easiest to setup. Unfortunately one didn’t work but I got 2 free replacements very easily from the supplie
Cons- setting up nooie account is a pain if you haven’t memorised internet password!
Pros- easy to set up and use, Alexa is happy once you’ve set the plug up in the nooie app.
Bargain price so very happy overall. Would recommend whilst it’s on BF deal especially!
Really good smart plugs. Easy to set up with Smart Life and Alexa and didn’t require me to turn off my 5GHz wifi in order to connect to the 2.4GHz wifi. Only minor issue is they are wider than I hoped so two can’t be placed alonside each other on an extension cable.
Once I worked it out on one I was fine. I found that I had to name the Wi-Fi first but each time I tried to out the Wi-Fi name in I could then not enter the password – I needed to enter my Wi-Fi password first, then the Wi-fi name. Worked on the first one, the next 3 were a doddle after that!
Easily linked with Alexa and routines all set up quickly.
We have Hive for our heating and a few selected lights but its smart plugs are quite expensive. These came up on offer so at 5 a plug its great value.
Setup can be a bit tricky – as others have said. Frustratingly you have to add the wi-fi details in manually each time, but this may be an Apple password strong issue rather than a Nooie problem.
Not we can switch on our electric blanket from anywhere via the app or Alexa and can even set a countdown time to switch it back off. Luxury.
I will probably use the other on some table lamps for security as there is a random pattern option on the app.
Despite the set up niggles these are recommended.
Very hard to pair with nooie app. Instructions very basic. Tells you to download smart life app that did work but very tiresome. No wonder they were cheap. Would not buy these again. Should work with Nooie app but so far not. I was contacted by seller who offered to find a solution by sending out replacement plugs. They arrived and with another attempt they worked and this time after updating they activated and connected to Alexa. They can be voice activated. Great endeavour by seller to get a resolution to my problem. 5 stars for this.
Used these to replace all my old and various smart plugs. Easy to set up and have a timer function – not all smart plugs have this. The size is also smaller than other smart plugs available. All controlled through the Smart Life application on my iPhone. Very happy with the product, these sometimes come on offer through Amazon, if you’re not in a rush wait a while for the saving.
I’d been told about these, so gave them a try. So easy to set up. I don’t know how I coped without them. I just downloaded an app onto my phone and can switch on or off whatever I have plugged into them from anywhere.
Brilliant if you are out or away u can just turn your lamps, radio etc on. So much better than timers, as they are too predictable as they turn on and off at specific time every day, which if anyone was watching your house would know it’s a timer. Whereas with these, you can turn them on and off at whatever time every day.
Great value for money and worth the price for peace of mind and with me having a disability make things so much easier being able to turn things on by an app on my phone.
I have 8 of these and use them for a variety of power controls. Mainly remote switching of lamps (via Alexa) and scheduled control of fans, Christmas lights etc
They work great, and the app is really easy to use. I had an issue connecting 2 of the latest pack I purchased, so emailed the Nooie help desk, they replied promptly and advised I temporarily switch of 5gHz Wi-Fi during the connection process, which solved the issue.
Overall very happy with these and would recommend to anyone.
I purchased a 4 pack of these smart plugs and found them to be very easy to install and connect to Alexa. They all worked well, but unfortunately one of the plugs stopped working properly. After contacting Nooie I received a very prompt reply and the problem was brought to a very satifactory conclusion. I could not fault the after sales help and would recommend this product to all.
Simple to set up – i used the nooie app as i already had it set up for my cctv cameras and it was easy to set up and to programme timers. I would however advise Nooie that confirm is spelt incorrectly in their set up program, but that is the only fault i could find. The sockets are also small and relatively unobtrusive
I am finding Nooie devices work well for me. Started with Nooie Outdoor Camera which was easy to set up – their good customer services team were helpful in guiding me. Nooie smart plugs were easy too and all Nooie devices on same Nooie App now. Camera Notifies me when ‘trigger event’ now. Set up my smart plugs x4 to have on off pattern now.

These are wonderful and the connection is great, there is many features to the app and easy to set up how ever in my case it was quite hard to connect some of the plugs and some of the other features did not help in all cases
These plugs are possibly the easiest smart plugs I’ve ever set up. Firstly I didn’t bother with the Nooie app, I used my existing Smartlife app and I advise you do too.
So first download the app to your phone. Second insert one of the plugs into a mains socket near your router and switch it one. It should after a few seconds have a blinking blue light on top. Then open your Smartlife app and Add Device, for all the 4 plugs I configured the Smartlife app automatically recognised them, it also automatically registered them with Amazon Alexa using the names given to the plug in the Smartlife app. Was literally less than 2 minutes from first powering on one of the plug to being able to control it with an Alexa voice command. Nice and easy 🙂
Received and had them connected and set up within a few minutes.
In fact it took me longer to remember the wifi password that it did to setup up.
Not going to lie, first attempted failed. This was my own silly fault, knowing full well I should of just turned off the the 5ghz wifi. As soon as I turned it off it connected, and was ready.
Downloaded the Alexa skill and connected it to my Nooie account.
Alexa found the plug instantly. And worked perfectly.
Gave my Gf a plug for her lizards vivarium, connected to her internet without even having to turn off the 5ghz wifi. This time she connected it via Google home.
That also worked instantly.
I haven’t rated the timer function as I don’t use it. Although my partner has set it up to turn the lights on for and off for her lizards. Forgot to ask her how it went.
But can’t see it failing to be honest.
Thanks to reviews though, that probably saved me a few minutes.
With their being 2 apps for the Alexa Nooie. Just choose the Nooie app not the Nooie home app.
All in all,
Can’t fault them.

The timer / schedule function has now been tested on the vivarium, and switches off and on perfectly.
We have several of these about the house and apart from the odd niggle with connecting to our WiFi, they work exactly as expected. Alexa finds the devices pretty quickly and links to your account easily. Well priced and work well.
Using the Nooie app I spent way too many hours trying to get these plugs installed. I got three recognised but the fourth wouldn’t play. In the end I downloaded the SmartLife app, but still had trouble until I used the socket right next to my router, and after a few false “wrong password” messages, eventually they started to play and after that it was quick and easy to get each subsequent plug recognised. Aha! I thought, now we’re cooking with gas. Hm! I might as well have been trying to use gas, after too many wasted hours trying to get the flipping plugs to switch my lamps on and connect to Alexa, I left them until another day. After a few days, I started again, and nearly succeeded. When I tell Alexa to switch on the living room lamps, she only
switches one on and I don’t know how to include the other one in the group. The plug to my bedroom lamp worked the first night but is no longer responsive! The plug to my television switches on and off ok, but the tv doesn’t. That’s probably something to do with the tv settings, to be fair but it still makes me want scream at the dog! I now tend to use the app to switch things on, rather than Alexa, although it was envy of my daughter just saying ‘Alexa, the lights’ that made me buy them in the first place. I am not saying this is the fault of the plugs, or the app or Alexa, I’m just saying they are not as easy to use as other reviewers found!
After enabling the Nooie Home Skill in Alexa (requires Nooie App registration first), Alexa identified the smart plugs and added them without any prompting from me. Unfortunately, although they showed as being added, I couldn’t use them. I followed the instructions in the previous reviews and added them to the Nooie App. I clicked on add devices in the Alexa App and they were all there and available for use.
I have some working on a timed schedule and others working on demand by voice. They have worked perfectly so far.
I was concerned that they might use more power than the devices that were previously sitting in standby, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. So I am happy that I have achieved my aim of reducing power consumption and making it easier to switch off some hard to reach devices that otherwise spend a lot of time in standby.
The biggest drawback I have found is that they add a considerable amount of bulk at the plug socket which is a problem behind or under cabinets close to walls. I haven’t seen any smaller ones though, so I’m not sure it can be done with less bulk without changing to a smart wall mounted socket. The extra bulk creates a lever which makes it easier to remove the plug from the wall socket – a plus for Granny, but a negative for children. I like the child lock feature (enabled in the Nooie App), although it is easily defeated by the wall switch – there isn’t much that can be done about that.
I like that the packaging was all cardboard, so it went straight into the recycling.
Overall, I’m very happy with these. They do what I want and were easy to set up thanks to earlier reviewers.
EDIT…… It seems Alexa takes a while to understand or recognise these plugs….. I don’t means a few minutes or hours… We are talking DAYS…… if not weeks but I can now tell which I want switched on or off….. Added an extra star I recommend these plugs still
However, had I not spent an hour messing around with the Nooie and Alexa apps, then skimming through the Amazon reviews, I wouldn’t have been able to use them with Alexa.
Issues:
The Alexa integration within the Nooie app and on the instruction booklet doesn’t work. It takes you to an error page.
There are also two separate Nooie skills on the Alexa app and it wasn’t clear which one you needed to use the plugs with Alexa. Only after reading the reviews on here did I learn that it was the ‘Nooie Home’ skill which you need to enable to then discover your smart plugs on the Alexa app. After that though, they work perfectly fine.
My final gripes are that 1. You need to register an account to use the devices which I find unnecessary; and 2. If the company go bust, your Nooie smart plugs will be rendered useless. So that’s always a risk when buying from these little-known Chinese brands.
Well in all fairness it was easy as long as you followed the steps.
1. Install the nooie app (I used the barcode on the instructions)
2. Create an account with your email address and choose a password. Wait for the 6 number code to arrive to complete your account
3. Set your phone to bluetooth connection
4. Have your wifi password ready to insert
5. Click ‘Add a device’ then plug in the first plug and wait for it to find it (this took around 20 seconds)
6. Once the device appears, change its name to whatever you like (I chose ‘plug 1’)
7. Click ‘Appliance’ and ‘add device’ to add anymore plugs you may have.
That’s all your plugs ready for use through the nooie app. One tip – I wrote in pencil on each plug so if they got mixed up I would know what they were called.
Connecting to Alexa
1. Open Alexa, at the bottom click the ‘more’ tab and select ‘skills & games’
2. Search for ‘nooie home’
3. You’ll need to install it with the email address and password you used when you set up your nooie account
4. make sure your nooie plugs are plugged in then click ‘search for new devices’ in Alexa
5. Click each one to set it up in Alexa and add it to a room if you wish
That was it. No problems, no uninstalls or repeats, everything worked perfectly first time.
The plugs themselves are smaller than the TP ones I have and seem to be robust and easy to look at. I’ll definitely be ordering more of these in the future. A great find at a good price.

I bought 4 more of these plugs as they are so useful. I’ve had issues recently with my router and a couple of power cuts. When this happens my smart bulbs stop working and I then have to try and figure out how to get them working again. The smart plugs however worked as soon as the power came back on. That’s when I decided to get rid of the smart bulbs and plug the lamps into a smart plug with ordinary bulbs. Now I just command the plug to switch on the lamp. Exactly like before without the faff of setting up smart bulbs from many different suppliers all needing a different app. Now its just Alexa and Nooie.
It was a breeze to add these new plugs to my existing collection (I pencil a number on each plug so I can keep track).
There was an issue with one of the new plugs not working so I emailed the nooie customer service and they got back to me within a few hours, even over bank holiday. Within a few days, the new plug arrived in the post and is working fine – great customer service from nooie. I’ll have no hesitation in ordering more from this company.
The Nooie plugs don’t require a hub and instead integrate directly with your wireless. Putting them in pairing mode was a bit hit-and-miss, but once they are in pairing mode the setup is incredibly simple, and once they are configured they can then be unplugged and re-plugged anywhere in the building.
Even when they are unplugged for a while they don’t lose their paired status – all 24 remain paired from the day I bought them, and all 24 are still working fine today.
At home I used them to power my ring cameras, so they are not in use whilst I am in the house, but as soon as I leave the house the trickery of Alexa and a smart sensor switches them all on as I leave!
At work as we are no longer using the office (now permanently living the dream, working from home!) I have them attached to various IT-related devices. If one of them stops working I can simply reboot it using a Nooie plug! This has saved me countless trips to work to reboot a machine that stopped working for one reason or another.
That’s the good stuff, and they are well worth the five stars.
There’s not really anything bad about these plugs, but I do have suggestions on how to make them better –
They can difficult (but not impossible!) to fit in a four way extension lead. Could they be made a little slimmer to fit a bit better here?
The on/off button is on the side, and it’s impossible to switch them off and on manually if you have a row of them in an extension lead. Could the button be put at the top or bottom of the switch, instead of the side?
The one thing they lack (compared to other brands) is the ability to measure the electricity usage of the device that’s attached to it. Could this be added?
Despite these very minor suggestions these plugs fully deserve the five stars, because comparatively they are less expensive, more convenient and more reliable than any of the other brand of smart sockets I’ve used before.
I’ve got a box of unused smart plugs from previous brands that I replaced with Nooie switches – and some plugs just failed completely and went in the bin.
Go buy some today! 🙂
The font for nooie made me think it was noole, but I found the app on Play eventually, downloaded and installed. The sign up was OK – name, email, password – then you get an email with the code numbers to use to continue the sign up.
Then I plugged one into a socket, the light flashed quickly and I tried to connect – 100 secs later it had failed. I checked that everything was on the same 2.4GHz wi fi router channel and tries again. 100 secs later conenction failed. I tried a socket nearer the router, failed. I resset and tried one more time. Then I tried a different plug. No good. Each 100 secs was adding up to a very long time. I was fed up putting in my email address and wifi password each time! I looked at the troubleshooting suggestions, and decided against resetting my router over this.
I signed out and signed back in – and then spotted a Bluetooth option on the start page – that worked in seconds. I regretted not doing that first!
Then I set up 3 of the plugs that way all round the house with lamps to see them in action. Lounge, Bedroom and Kitchen. Remember, even with Bluetooth set up you need to input your WIFI password. I now know my wifi password by heart. My lounge is so far away from the router, I use an extender that takes a signal form the ring main – so that was a different router and password, but it still worked quickly on the bluetooth set up.
Next I went to Google assistant on my android phone, scrolled down to home control and searched for Nooie – there were three options! Nooie didn’t work, but “Nooie Home” worked – I was immediately faced with a bunch of Nooie products, like doorbells and cameras I don’t have, The second tab displayed all my sockets – Lounge, Bedroom and Kitchen – with a slide on off button beside each – and they worked great!
Now all I have to do is say “Hey Google, turn on Lounge” and the lounge lamp switches on, you get a button so you can turn it on and off and do morse code if you want. “OK Google turn on Kitchen” and it doesn’t matter if the wifi signal is connected to the router or extender.
It is day two and no problems, I used the last socket for a security camera that isn’t nooie. At about a fiver each, it’s great. I’ll use one for the Christmas Tree Lights this year, and great for burglar proofing when on holiday.
I dropped off the fifth star simply because I wasted a morning in setting up – when I would have been done in 5 mins using bluetooth! Hope this helps someone (I might even refer back to this myself if I forget in years and months to come)
Just received and installed them a moment ago and I’m already in love with them!
I’m using them for 3 reptile enclosures.
Previously I was using those analogue dial timers, but found them to be bad at keeping time, clunky and the constant whirring noise was right next to my bed and keeping me awake. Finally bit the bullet and went digital and I’m so glad I did!
Easy Setup – These products were VERY easy to set up using the Nooie app and it took about 10 seconds to pair each device at most. Then all I had to do was set when I wanted them to turn off and on. The adjustments to the timing are instantly transferred to the device. You can still turn them off/on manually using the button on the side if you need to. I’m very impressed with the features of these timers, allowing for set intervals and even a loop timer. As expected they’re completely silent apart from a knocking/deep click when they turn off/on. (the noise isn’t much louder than the click I hear from my reptiles thermostats 🙂 )
Advice for Nooie App Pairing: Click to confirm the device is flashing (don’t worry about it just yet), input your WIFI details + password, THEN activate your nooie by holding the button and waiting for the light to start flashing, and then click next on your device to begin pairing. As others have mentioned, the nooie plug will stop flashing – be patient as it’s pairing and hasn’t timed out. Give it about 5-10 seconds once it stops flashing and your device should tell you it was paired 🙂
Great fit for Gang Extension strips! – One of my favourite things about these is the SIZE of them. I’m using those flat white electrical extension strips as I’m lacking socket in my room – I found the analogue ones to be SO bulky that I couldn’t put two side by side. The Nooie plugs are super compact and are only about the size of a plug themselves, so they don’t take up any extra room and you can put them next to each just fine. Be sure to plug them in right hand side first on the strip – the buttons for the Nooie are on the left hand side and you can’t reach them once two nooie plugs are side by side in this kind of extension. This isn’t an issue once you have them set up, since you’ll be controlling them from your device.
It would be somewhat easier if the button was not on the left side, but the bottom side (opposite end of the light) – however again it’s not a huge deal unless you’re using gang strips and want to be able to access the buttons frequently.
Value for money – I chose Nooie not only because they did what I needed, but because of the price point. There are a LOT of smart plugs out there that are the same price or even double for just x2 plugs. Seeing as I needed a minimum of 3 and maximum of 4, these were worth the shot 🙂
I really like the sleek and neutral design of these plugs, they don’t stand out.
Although I don’t need the functions myself, it’s extremely handy to be able to give others access to control my devices (permanently OR temporarily) and I’m sure plenty of people will enjoy using them with Alexa.
Wholeheartedly recommend and extremely glad I purchased, sincerely hoping they last forever 🙂
I ordered 2 packs of these (8 plugs in total) for various devices around my home.
I’ve been thinking of getting smart plugs for a while for lamps and fans around my home, but with Xmas decorations going up, I plumped for these. As with every year, xmas lights were all plugged in behind furniture and a nightmare to reach behind things to turn on and off, so being able to ask Google to do it was, and is great.
Installation was fairly straight forward using the nooie app – but, it asks you which type of nooie account you want to use. There is no explanation in the box about which one you need to use. One of the account types is for smart plugs, one is for other device types. Having now set them all up I can’t remember which of the two I needed to select, but my advice is to recognise that during setup you may find that it doesn’t give the option to connect smart plugs – if this is the case simply go back and choose the other type of account.
Connecting to Google Home was simple – again, as with before, when you try to connect your nooie account to google home in the app, you have two nooie account options. You need to select the correct account type. And also, in the login box there is a dropdown for location, make sure you choose the same location you entered when setting up your nooie account otherwise your login will fail (I fell for this). Once you’ve connected google home to your nooie account you don’t need to look at the nooie app (I assume the same goes for Alexa).
All in all, a great product that’s easy to use
Only issue now is that, after Christmas, I have spares 😉
Right, where to start? Firstly, it was a bit of a faff to set up the Nooie app and recognise the sockets. Then it was even more faffing to get Alexa skills to control the Nooie app. I got there in the end but it was a fair bit of effort. Now Im having problems!! I bought 6 in total. 4 of which now no longer work and steadfastly refuse to re-connect. The app and Alexa see them but they no longer will turn on or off via the app or voice control. The “buttons” in the app are switching on and off but again the lights just will not work. They will still work via the manual switch on the side of the socket itself but thats totally defeating the point. The app reports from time to time that there are “network issues”. Utter rubbish ….. they are faulty after just a couple of weeks installed. No matter how many times ive deleted them and then reinstalled them, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, reset them, rebooted Alexa, removed them from the power socket for a few hrs and done it all a dozen times over they just dont work anymore. So, despite much effort and a ton of time wasted they are being sent back. Ive had enough now. In comparison, the Amazon socket that I bought with my Echo Dot 3 hasnt missed a beat with absolutely no connectivity issues whatsoever. Sadly, the Amazon ones are rediculously overpriced. I’ll be watching for a price drop and then I’ll buy more Amazon ones. Nooie ? Forget it. More hassle than they are worth!!
After 2 days of having the Christmas decs up, I decided I had had enough of running around turning on and off of all the twinkly lights and electrically powered singing Santa’s. So I went onto Amazon to treat myself (it is Christmas after all) to some smart plugs. I scrolled through many, estimating I needed 4 (did you know that these smart plugs power 4 way extension cables too – and yes, I’m referring to 4 way extension cables powering 4 plugs each, meaning I have 16 related Christmas items to power! :D), so got to work with the research. Many businesses seem to sell these for around 30, but then I came across Nooie, who were a fair bit cheaper, so decided to give them a go. Good old Prime customer here, so Hermes delivered them next day, and there began the installation of these snazzy little plugs from me, as a technophobe, I must admit, installation for me was a little tougher than I had hoped (not Nooie’a fault!). I downloaded the app, which walked me through the process, and it did mentioned that WiFi needed to be 2.6G (whatever that means!), so after a couple of attempts, failing miserably each time, it then offered me another connection attempt, something called an AP connection, where you just had to press the button a couple of times, the lights come on all flashy (as you can tell, I am an expert at the flashy light part!), and VOILA, my lovely Christmas tree lit up in the spectacle that it is! The app let me turn said tree, and all other trees and lights on (after each plug has been connected in the same manner) and off, so then I decided Alexa needed to be suitably empowered. For that, I opened my Alexa app, allowed it to search for new devices, it found them all, and then allowed me to group them. Now all I have to do is say, “Alexa, happy Christmas” and my home lights up like Blackpool illuminations! It’s the simple things in life, and to me, these lovely little plugs have made me smile – thank you Nooie!
