I have ordered multiple products from Nooie, all amazing. I did have an issue with one of my plugs as it worked but then just stopped working, reached out to Nooie and they sent a replacement very quickly. Super happy with the service and product.

The app for these plugs is easy to negotiate. What a difference they make. To be able to have the kettle switch on and boil 5 mins before getting home after a hard day is such a boon.

A good purchase. I already have 4 other make plugs that work with the smartlife app and alexa voice control. Very easy to setup, however with the Virgin dual band router the 5ghz wifi signal must be disabled first then marrying the plugs through the smartlife app to the router is a simple process, the alexa app automatically recognises the new plug. Once done don’t forget to go back to the virgin router and turn back on the 5ghz signal, the 2 new plugs took less than 10 minutes to program, assign and rename.

Fantastic product, it’s well made, functional and easy to use. Comes in recyclable packaging and the instructions were clear and simple. Splitting hairs I’d say the app was a bit clunky and plain.

I have had other smart plugs but they kept disconnecting. I got these and they are much better.
The size is great so it doesn’t block anything and the install was very easy. The responsiveness is also great, almost instant.

These plugs work well and they are easy to setup with the smartlife app (I’ve had issues with connection with others but these ones were simple)

I would definitely recommend these and will be buying them again when I need another se

I recently changed my coffee machine and the only downside of which, was the fact that it takes half an hour to heat up. I decided to look for a wireless plug socket and after doing a bit of reading opted for these.

Happy to say they have been flawless. Works on 2.4Ghz wifi with brilliantly strong signal and I can run it either from Google home or the App itself which covers all funcionality bases including an auto on/off timer which is really handy.

A big saving grace on these is that you can manually switch the device off at source, that is to say, I now leave my coffee machine on all the time, and after use, just manually switch the plug off using the button which means it is still ready to pair wirelessly when I want to turn it back on.

All in all 9/10. Happy to recommend.

Update: still working grand but the app has become a bit temperamental. I am using Google home exclusively now which is perfect.

Over the last couple of years, I have bought many smart plugs. These are by far the nicest quality plugs out of them all.
They work well, I have them paired with the Smart Life app, so they can connect remotely on phone or set up with Alexa. Would highly recommend 🙂

I use these for various lamps around the home they are so easy to set up.
I use the smart life app and integrated them to Alexa, you can give each one a unique name but for simplicity I have just numbered mine.
I have not used the timer function but can see its benefits and will likely use that function to control my external socket for Christmas lights.
Reasonable value and the price often discounted .

Initially we had a few problems working out how to set the different timers for the plug but after contacting Nooie helpline they sent us a video which was great at walking us through the process. A big thank you to Alma at Nooie who was extremely helpful. Would definitely buy again.

These plugs only work on the 2.4GHz WiFi band so if you have troubles getting them to connect to your WiFi you may have to open up your router settings in a web browser using the instructions on the back of your router and split the WiFi into two bands, 5GHz and 2.4GHz. Then make sure you connect the plugs to the 2.4GHz band for them to work correctly. But they work well and we use them for our lights in the living room (connected to Alexa).

Pleasantly surprised by this plug. Bought to replace aging intermittently working old plug.
Usually I have to tell smartlife app to search for new items, plug, light etc.
With this plug all I did was plug it in. Instantly smartlife said ‘found new switch’ and set it up. Why it called it a switch and not a plug I don’t know, I just renamed it as I usually do. Simples

Once again this manufacturer has its own app to set up the devices but once done great integration with Alexa. Had I bought these before the light bulbs I might have stuck with Nooie as they support lights, appliances and wall plugs.

The device you are powering needs to work when the mains is turned on, not just from the on switch on your device. Eg if when you plug in your TV it goes into standby mode and you have to press the power button for it to display something these are not going to help you. Not Nooies fault.

With the cost of living / electricity prices going up, I invested in a load of these to power off equipment at the plug rather than standby. Example: my PC, when i have finished work and powered off my PC I can power off at the plug using the Nooie app. So the smart plug connected to a multi gang extension (Speakers, Monitor, laptop charger, desk light etc….) all powered off at the plug. I have them in every room covering kids game consoles, TV’s…. anything. When I go to bed my routine is to open the APP and literally click, click, click all the sockets and whole house is powered down.

Just remember to have powered the PC down properly first as you are pulling the plug.
You can name all the plugs for specific areas (attached pic)
Also control outside of your home network. i.e. if you are on Holiday you could have one connected to a small light and have it power on and off randomly either by timer or manually to make it look like someone is home.
Very good as well for hard to reach areas, just set it up the once and so easy then to control from the app.

    Highly recommended.

Having got 3 Amazon Echo ‘Alexa’ gadgets in the house, I decided to try a couple of socket adapters to automate a few things. These are easy to set up and integrate with Alexa. I can now say ‘Alexa turn on the bedroom light’ or living light. They can also be controlled through the Alexa app on my phone, so when we go out we can leave the light off, and turn if on remotely when it gets dark. I ordered two more, one for the Christmas tree lights and one for the TV so I can easily turn it off and not leave it on standby all the time. These are a very easy way of introducing some automation in a home, for a very reasonable price.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersPurchased these as a replacement for some larger Smart Plugs I already have.

Setting up these are a breeze and they can either use their own app or better still they work with the Smart Life app that so many other smart devices use.

I opted for the smart life app.

Connected without any issues. Amazon Alexa also discovered the plug after it had been set up with Smart Life app.

One word of warning, if you use a power strip multiplug, these smart plugs are slightly wider than a normal UK plug, so they take up more space and can blok some other plugs that are next to it on the power strip.

I cant comment on the app as I have not installed it. As mentioned I just use Smart Life. But there is no reason why the app should not work.

Other than that this device works as expected.

    Works flawlessly

    Pros
    * Small in size
    * Can Use Smart Life App
    * Compact in design
    * 11 For 2 Plugs (NOV 22)
    * Minimal Packaging (No plastic too)

    Cons
    * Wider than a standard UK Plug
    * Limited Instructions.
    * Own app (not needed, Use smartlife app instead)

    Would buy more when needed

Decent plugs when finally setup correctly. There are 2 Nooie Alexa skills and these require a specific one. Had me baffled for ages to why these would not link properly but got there eventually. Works well so far.

This integrates very well with the app. Haven’t yet tried the integration with home devices. The app should allow logins from multiple devices, but it automatically disconnects other devices when I try to login from another device.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve been looking for a couple of smart plugs to add to some floor lamps in the living room for a while now. Delivery obviously was great.

The plugs (pack of two) turned up in some nice sturdy practical packaging and a nice fold-out instruction manual that gives reasonably clear instructions about how to set up your smart plugs – it only took 3 attempts.

Having completed the Nooie setup using the Bluetooth option that then linked to Wi-Fi I then tried to connect it to Alexa – the trouble is the instructions are a bit on the light side…

    Go into settings – Gotcha
Go into the tab for third party integrations – seems sensible, but wait where is this mythical tab, cos it sure isn’t on the Nooie App
Delete the Smart Device from the Nooie app and reinstall it (three times) – still the same result, hmmm
Eventually, open the Alexa app and find an option for third-party integration
After 2 failed attempts managed to install a new interface that allows Alexa to talk to Nooie and suddenly its all connected and works beautifully.

It makes a fairly hefty sounding click when turning on and off which seems a bit dramatic, but they’re working

I as others have had issues setting up the device in my case “PLUGS” but. Once you realise the devices are based on 2.4 Ghz WIFI as clearly stated on there website. It is quite easy to rectify. I am Mac based and most routers including PC based routers broadcast both 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ signals to accommodate older devices including phones, laptops etcetera. In my case, the plugs were not discoverable by my 5 GHZ signal, but i just switched to by WIFI 2.4 GHZ band to set up the plugs, once they had been recognised by Alexa and wifi i just switched back to my 5HZ band and the devices are accessible

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought the twin pack. Meant to be compatible with 2.4ghz WiFi only but didn’t realise mine was set to 5ghz. Bizarrely the first plug did pair nonetheless! Second plug didn’t – which was when I realised the bit about 2.4ghz. Managed to separate the bands on my EE Hub anyway and am running both on 2.4ghz now (hasn’t affected other devices in the house afaik).
Don’t bother with the Nooie app – I’ve paired both plugs to the Smart Life app which is integrated into Google Home and therefore Google Assistant. Set one plug for TV standby on/off and the other for a table lamp to come on at sunset each day. I can override these timings with a quick “Ok Google turn table lamp on” etc.
    So far so good.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI absolutely adore these plugs. i’ve used other plugs and i can say that these are by far the best i’ve ever used. they have more features than others and are genuinely just the better around alternative. i’ve purchased two pairs and they do the job perfectly, i will say however set up could be easier, all 4 of the plugs ive used the ‘set up via wifi’ method which makes the method setting up the plug a bit more complicated but not impossible for an average tech user. once you sign into your nooie account on your alexa app all your plugs just work and its brilliant. amazing plug amazing price!

A very simple to use device, seemed confusing to start and then turned my brain off which was overthinking and then opened alexa app went to /device/+ smart plug/other devices and it found it.
I use one in my study to switch off all my toys ecept my computer that just sleeps. I simply say “Alexa – switch off the study ” as you walk away.
I use another on my Raspberry Pi Server, this saves me scrabling among the wires under the tv stand to reboot that little beast. I am now working on an alexa task to start a tidier shutdown and power off.
At the moment I can say “alelexa – reboot server” this executes several pauses to hopfully flush buffers etc; but the new version i am worling on will soon halt the processor tidily
The only slight flaw is the position of the reset button, perhaps on the next version it should be at the top and not at the natural posion that you hold it whilst inserting it and there is a very slight smell of new plastic for the first day or so.
A very good device well worth its price. I am sure that every alexa fan will find a few uses for them.

I’ve used many WiFi enabled devices in my home over the years, and all have varying degrees of difficulties during their set-up.

Set-up: I found these pretty tricky to set up. After several unsuccessful attempts at discovering the devices it finally started working. Similar difficulties were experienced with the second device. I found this was due to the software more than the devices, as once they were set up it was very easy applying this to Google Home.

Information: These devices can work with or without router access as they can connect directly. Once the initial set up was completed everything else works fine!

Current Evaluation: Several weeks of use and there’s no problems. The on-board timer functions work in-app very well, with easy on-screen toggles and dials. Overall I’m very happy with these, especially considering how much they cost.

Update: Since this was written I’ve ordered more. They work brilliantly! Setting up new outlets is now a breeze. I can’t recommend these enough.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users***UPDATED … First class custoner service****
Replacements were provided and worked perfectly.

I think I’ve waste a few hours of my life trying to install this set of plugs. I’ve 5 other smart plugs (different brand) and they did not cause any problems at all.

I did manage to get one working but only when I found the Smart Life app and switched to AP mode.

Plugs are branded Nooie but when looking for them on WiFi they are seen as SmartLife.
Nooie app simply did not work and times out everytime.
Dispite gettong one to work I’ll have to send both back.

I had assume these plugs are all the same but clearly the cheaper ones are not as good

Nooie support were no use either. Still waiting to hear back from them.

I took a chance on these because the price was quite cheap, and I have to say that I’m really impressed, they arrived the next day from Prime, once I’d removed all of the amazon boxing I was presented with a professional looking box, smaller that I was expecting, and all 100% recyclable which was a bonus. The plugs look very good quality, a strong heavy feel to the material, they do not look cheap, there is a manual on/off button, and an LED indicator which is helpful.
The plugs them selves are a good size, not too bulky like others I’ve seen, in fact, they have thought about the design, as the plug will fit comfortably on a multigang extension lead with plugs either side, as there is a gap/ridge that allows the adjacent plugs to fit under – just put the NOOIE plug in last.
Setting up was simple – I could have used the free NOOIE app, but I had already installed the TuyaSmart app for some light bulbs and these plugs are 100% compatible with that, which means I don’t have to have lots of different apps for different devices.
Setting up took less than 10 minutes for both of them, a couple of minutes each to register them with the app and name them, then a quick add devices in Alexa and it was done.
Over all I’m really pleased – they are high quality, simple to set up, work perfectly, and the packaging is 100% recyclable. I will definitely be buying some more for around the house, and will also be checking out the NOOIE light bulbs too.

Bought these to switch a heater and an arcade crane machine, primarily using Alexa. Setting up the plugs was simple, simply download the appropriate app (mine was IOS) by scanning the enclosed QR code, set up an account (simple email/password with email 2 step verification) then switch the plug on and it goes into pairing mode where you just follow the instructions in app. The first plug required me to input the WiFi passcode, but this was remembered for the second one, saving even more time. I had both up and running in less than 5 minutes. Next came Alexa integration, for which instructions are not present. I first tried simply running discovery on Alexa and this did not work. It turns out you need to enable the nooie skill within Alexa to get them to pair. No great shakes, as you can simply search for the nooie home skill within the Alexa app. Once you have this you have to pair this to your nooie account, a process which could be more intuitive as you have to input your country code (like you do on phone number) then your nooie login details (email/password). One I had sussed this out, I enabled the skill, reran discovery on Alexa and both plugs were found and added. Probably took another 5 minutes max, so still giving 4 stars, knocking 1 off just for the slightly confusing addition of the country code. The plugs themselves are not the smallest form factor, but are certainly not the largest I have seen, so all in all well happy with my purchase!
