Very happy with this wetsuit. I can’t compare it with anything more expensive, but this one does the job.
For the money I think this is a good starter wetsuit, helps to keep me warmer for longer than none wetsuit, the chest wind protector does a decent job of keeping you warm, has good level of stretchyness in material.
Great wetsuit. Large with short leg bought. perfect fit for me at 5ft 6 and tubby 🙂
Even better when it was reduced in price. Would recommend this. I’d seen some other cheaper ones but liked the colours on this and the fact it was available in a short leg
Bought for my son as a present and just didnt fit him nothing wrong with product or service.
I thought there must be a catch to get an O’Neill wetsuit for this price, but its arrived and I’ve tried it on and it is excellent. So it seems like it is just a great deal!
The neoprene is softer than my previous wetsuit and the rubber on the chest area is going to be better for wind protection and gripping the board. It also looks cooler!
For sizing, I am 92kg and 182cm tall and the XL fits me perfectly.
Great fit, well made and comfortable. Definitely miles ahead of the cheaper supermarket wetsuits and worth the extra money if you want to spend a lot fo time in the water.
Great fit and colour, quality neoprene with ample stretch and very comfortable to wear.Got it at a bargain price but had to wait 4 weeks for delivery which I knew beforehand just ordered well in advance for our summer holiday surfing in Cornwall.
This is a fantastic wetsuit and great value for a premium brand. The fit is good and it feels like a quality product, and in use is lovely. My only gripe is that the leg length is a bit short for the rest of the sizing. I fit all the O’Neill sizing chart for the size I ordered, yet the legs are about 2-3 inches shorted than previous wetsuits.
Good quality products so far I am happy with it, delivery was bit slow but product it’s self is good,I did not use it for swimming yet so I will update later but for paddle boarding is spot o
This size fits me perfectly. Very comfortable and warm. As a tall and round person this really was a good fit. Feels strong and well made
The fit based on the size guide was spot on. Well made and great value. I have triathlon/swimming wetsuits costing 100’s, so wanted a relatively cheap wetsuit to use with a body board. Would recommend
Recomended by my surf instructor barber..I never owned a wetsuit before and had no idea about buying one. Figured I’d give it a go for use on a sit on top kayak. It’s perfect for such endeavours. Comfy, stretchy and well made. I’m happy with it.
Searched everywhere for a descent value wet suit as I’d outgrown my xl. Tried to buy locally but everywhere sold out. Was very cautious about ordering online as I thought it would be either too big or too small but it’s the perfect fit for me, 6′ and 17 stone.
I bought this based on the glowing reviews. I normally wear a large in most t shirts, and according to the size guide I should have picked large. It was a last minute purchase before a Cornwall trip and only M was in stock – I bought it and it fits great.
So impressed with this. Kept me warm in the conrwall sea all summer!
So lets just state what everybody is after and thats the fit. Im 177cm, 80kg and got a medium. Fits me great. Does the job really well, north see is no longer too cold for me. Quality is very good, no complaints.
Nice flexible 3mm suit – good for summer in Cornwall.
Really flexible and easy on/off.
Only gripe is it’s so flexible that when waves hit me while I was taking a board out then it pushed the wrist of the suit up my arm – wasn’t really an issue and I like the suit.
I got a 3XL and I’m 6’3″ and a bit overweight but it was a good fit.
Perhaps if I got a smaller size the wrists would be a bit tighter – I dunno.
Good value for money.
I am 6’0, 100kg and well built. XL fits well, but as its a thin wetsuit there is plenty of stretch.
Chest section is grippy for surf/bodyboard.
I needed a new one quite quickly while I was away. Next day delivery was great as always.
The wetsuit itself is comfy and of great quality which you would expect from O’Neill. I would recommend it to anyone.
Bought this to replace an old Cressi suit that had been damaged. I needed it quick so that was my main reason for buying this particular suit. I was worried it wouldn’t be to the standard I’ve come to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.
I spent two hours in the Channel, early August, and felt warm and comfortable. I was able to easily extricate myself and also had no problems getting in it.
I’m 6′ tall, 95kg and 34″ waist; I ordered the XXL which was prefect for me!
Used for paddleboarding and sea kayaking. It works 100%, is comfortable, great quality and very reasonably priced.
Would highly recommend.
I was stuck between L and XL and opted for XL. Fits really well.
First wetsuit ever purchased, wasnt sure if was going to fit. Followed the chart supplied and its fine.
I’m 6 foot and weigh 14 stone, 42 inch chest and 34 waste.
I didn’t want suit stuck to me and clinging to my body restricting movement. My waist is 34 in trousers but took the size 35-37 waste on chart to allow a bit for my belly. Yes OK I carry all my excess weight on my belly. I’m working on that. Didn’t want 34″ suit as would literally cut circulation off. The material is flexible thank god.
It arrived today only 3 days after ordering even though order said 1-3 weeks. Tried it on and fitted comfortably without feeling like a grape in a press. I went for XL size and glad I did. Still to try out on my new paddle board I got. Waiting on lifevest first.
Delighted with purchase. Holds my belly in a bit and I’m sure in time look flatter.
Brilliant value for money. Great quality. Wouldn’t expect any less from O’Neil’s.
Regarding the zip coming down on its own in one review. I never had this issue. Pull the zip fully up and close the Velcro. No issues at all.
OMG WUT A BUYYYYYY !!! Really showed off my big muscles (because I go to the gym) ! Extremely flattering (for me anyways because I go to the gym) ! Someone might resemble a washed up seal with this on (but I didn’t because I actually go to the gym) 😉 Would recommend buying (if you go to the gym) –
Yours sincerely,
Nathan (Gym Beast) x
Great wetsuit for the money and a very good fit. Would highly recommend over one of the non brand alternatives. The difference in money is small but there is a bid difference in the quality of the design, finish of seams and the material.
Good quality and such good value for money. I don’t have anything to compare it to as it’s my first wet suit but very impressed.
Wore it in Scotland in September, made it just about bearable.
This is my first wetsuit so I cant really compare it to others however I can say it works in keeping me alot warmer than I would be without one. I’m medium build and 5ft 11 so went for the large and it fits well. It’s well made and good quality materials. Overall I’m happy.
Fits perfectly for my body. Deffo warmer than not wearing a wet suit, notice the benefits more when out of the water than in. Is made very well and easy to get on and off
As I am very tall and thin, i was worried buying a wet suit that the fit would not be right, but having found the size guide on the O’Neil website i looked up the best fit and then purchased on Amazon and it was a perfectly snug fit all over as I wanted. The wet suit itself kept me very warm in the sea in wales for several hours with the kids on a pretty average day temperature wise. I would highly recommend.
I use this wetsuit for kayaking. The material is certainly more flexible than my old wetsuit and I’m very pleased with the quality. Knee reinforced area ia perfect and should reduce wear. The zip is really easy to use as well. I was worried about buying online but the sizing guide was spot on. I’ve only had it for about 6 weeks so I can’t comment about durability.
This was bought for my partner ( the 4 xl). He is 6’1 and finds it a good fit. I got the 3 xl even though it is for a man it is a good fit. I’m 5’11 and size 16-18. Would definitely recommend. First wetsuits we’ve had. We got them for swimming in the sea.
This is the first wetsuit I’ve purchased ever, I was nervous about the purchase about getting the wrong size or type. But purchasing this has been no regrets so far.
I got this for sea water swimming and also body boarding. I moved to the South East coast of Cornwall. After a few swims in the sea since the start of summer and still being a bit chilly I decided to get a wetsuit.
I opted for a 2/3mm wetsuit reluctantly due to the prices. However, it is more than sufficient for the water currently at about 14.5c. The wetsuit made a massive difference to my body temperature and I found I could complete a lot more swimming, I only got out due to being tired rather than being cold.
The quality is really good. I opted for the O’Neill brand as I much prefer labels. O’Neill doesn’t disappoint in this case.
With regards to the fit, it was pretty much bang on. I’m six foot, around 14 stone with a bit of a belly. I tend to find I need extra room in the crotch department with most clothing, and this being tight in its nature did present a slight issue but not enough to cause off putting discomfort.
It looks really good quality too. I expect it will be long lasting given the correct care. The stitching is very good. The zipper is easy to grasp and you can put it on alone.
In terms of wearing it, I found I could swim normally. No strokes were inhibited.
Overall, I’m glad I got this!
Amazing wetsuit, super comfortable fit perfectly I choose M as I am 1.77m 71kg
And fits perfectly super tight, but doesn’t contrinct, good for England summer and spring , sometimes I do feel even too warm, good protection for falls, absorb the shock quite well, very good value for money.
Very tight, took it in the sea yesterday and loved it, very buoyant. Gave me plenty of warmth which allowed me to stay in the water as much as I wished. It’s my first wetsuit so wasn’t used to wearing something so snug, but I can get it on and off easily enough and its actually motivating me to lose a few pounds.
Absolutely amazing suit! Love it. I’m a 38 year old fella with 34″ waist, 38″ chest, average legs, tiny bit of upper body muscle but not a huge guy and I’m 6 foot 1. The L fits me absolutely perfect even though the chest size says it fits 40 something plus. It’s tight but just The right amount. Not baggy so I’m really happy with the value, fit, and how it performs! I use this for kayaking. 3/2 suit thickness.
As size is so important, here are my details – 6ft2, 87Kg and 34″ waist. I bought size XL and I use it for open water swimming and triathlon. Sea temp I used it in is about 15 degrees. I’ve not used it for other water sports.
I picked up this wetsuit for a great price and it arrived promptly. It’s easy to get into and, importantly for triathlon, out of. The fit is slightly lose around the shoulders and it flaps a bit on the upper arm after swimming for 10mins, but it’s not too bad and I can adjust it easily enough mid-swim. I’m not sure if a L would be a better option. It appears wells made and there are no visable defects.
Most importantly, it warms up after a few strokes and is extremely comfortable for swimming. No hesitation in recommending.
