You should wear some sort of wraps/gloves when using this. My son, who is already an avid kickboxer, had blood running down his hands from his knuckles after his first use.

I bought this product for a Christmas present. He didn’t know what it was at first. Anyway a bit later he came in and was punching away. The annoying thing about it was he used it everywhere walking down the street, on the beach, at the airport and the apartment!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAre you a sister? Older or younger it doesn’t matter. This is the perfect gift for getting playful revenge on your annoying brothers and watching them a ball hit them in the face over and over. Best Xmas gift I ever bought him, mum was in tears

My 15 and 10 year olds love this. It took me a few mins to get the hang of it but once you get the confidence and coordination you’ll love it too. Avoid practicing around ornaments and low hanging lights

I got this my husband as a stocking filler for Christmas. The whole family had lots of fun with it in the next leading days. I can’t say something that has ever been played with since.

A very solid product, well made and functional.
Easy to very quickly get up to 100-200 repetitions if you wear boxing gloves alongside this product. Using this bare knuckle is much more difficult – the inly reasons this gets a 4 instead of a 5 – you will need some gloves)

Bought for my son as he loves boxing, took second to set up but think it might take him a week or so to master it. But all round good produc

These are awesome , I have a few sets of them but these are the best and customer service is second to none , had a slight problem and the customer service went well above and beyond of what I expected and would have no problem recommending them .

    5.0 out of 5 stars *** HIGHLY RECOMMEND ***

The headband fits all sizes but feels a bit uncomfortable. It is certainly something that you need to spend time getting to grips with. Once you master the technique it can be fun so stick with it!

This is an easy way to train your hand eye contact….quick to set up and really easy to use….band on around your head …and you just box the ball when you see it….

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAre you tired of the same old boring workouts that leave you feeling like a sweaty mess? Look no further than the OOTO Upgraded Boxing Reflex Ball! This ball is the perfect way to add excitement (and coordination) to your fitness routine.

First, let’s talk about the design – it’s like a tiny disco ball for your workout! With its flashy colours and shiny surface, you’ll feel like you’re working out in a nightclub instead of your dingy basement. Plus, it’s suitable for adults and kids so you can bond with your little ones over your love of fitness.

But what sets this reflex ball apart is the way it works. Bouncing off your fists and forcing you to react quickly, it’s a great way to improve your hand-eye coordination and reflexes. It’s like playing a game of dodgeball but without the fear of getting hit in the face (well, hopefully).

And let’s not forget about the convenience factor – this ball is small and lightweight, so you can take it wherever you go. You can sneak in a quick reflex ball workout and feel like a champion, whether at home, at the gym, or at the office (because we all need a break from work sometimes).

So if you’re looking for a fun and effective way to improve your coordination, reflexes, and fitness, the OOTO Upgraded Boxing Reflex Ball is the way to go. And who knows – maybe you’ll even become the next Rocky Balboa. Or at least have a great time trying!

I bought this for my 16 yr old that has taken up Muay Thai. He loves it and uses it all the time. I am happy to say the elastic is strong so he hasn’t done any damage in the house with it. I would prefer he used it outside as he does look funny ( weird looking Darlek), trying to keep a straight face is hard. 100% better than him sitting on the computer.

Fun to use, but not easy to master. Will be good once I get the hang of it. Made okay, although I imagine the elastic cord won’t last long. Kids like it, but they still can’t do it!

Item is great and fun to use perfect for the price only problem I have with the product is I didn’t receive both colours, it says that you recieve two, only one was on in the box.

    Love this so good,
Works better with boxing gloves as easier to get technic, as if you use just hands I can only do 7 punches if use boxing gloves I can go on forever, all
The family enjoy and it’s a competition in our house and got my boy of the ps5 so added bonus

I bought this as a present for my son who does kickboxing. The string is so long that he actually uses this to practice kickups although the ball is small. I can shorten the length of the string by double tieing which allows him to punch it properly. So basically its a 2 for 1

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPurchase price much lower than the brand names, it is however more or less the same set, comes with a light weight ball and a medium weight ball. 2 x elastic and a head band, all is reasonable quality.

Does not come with access to an App, you don’t need it either, there are plenty on app stores if you can’t count.

Tie the elastic to arms length, start off light weight, slow and soft, then work faster and harder as you get better… until finally you’re pounding hard, fast and fully up in the air!!!

Takes a bit of practice like anything new, 1st time was a bit of a disaster, day 2 I’d got a hit and miss rythem going, day 3 I kept it going a bit longer and now a week later I can go as long as I like…

Well worth the Purchase and surprisingly good exercise and good fun.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI am an intermediate boxer but after injury I wanted to get back into it slowly. This was great fun getting back into the sport! taking hits to the face with a ball is a lot more forgiving than a fist! You need some time to get good at it so don’t expect to be doing anything amazing within the first week.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersThe ball bounces back towards your face so you have to accept the ball may hit you every once in a while. HOWEVER, you would not expect to get whipped by the elastic band in your eye. It is DANGEROUS, no warnings about this when advertised also no suggestions to wear eye protection. Use at your own risk.

4.0 out of 5 stars Extremely dangerous!!!!! (Updated review)

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersYou can make these from a tennis ball but this is cheap enough to not bother. It’s surprisingly difficult at first to do many hits in a row but it’s a lot of fun and a bit addictive. Start off with gentle taps and build up the power as obviously the harder you hit it, the faster and harder it comes back at you! My whole family use it now.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGuys the red ball is a bit hard and hurts your knuckles if they are not condition very well so I would recommend getting the softer one which I think it’s the black one it’s softer and squishy and in my opinion might be better idk I haven’t got the chance to try the black one

Got this for my boyfriend and it was good quality and easy to use. However , string was too long so does need tying to make shorter so can actually use.

The ball is a surprisingly heavy piece of soft enought rubber, i definitely feel hitting something or being hit back, the return velocity of this thing is response to how hard you hit it so if you hurt the ball, ball will not hesitate to hurt you back and smack you in your teath. Absolutely love this and i have not been laughing when doing something for quite a while. Only one think i dont like is the way the elastic cord is attached to head band, it kept loosening and extending my reach over 30 minutes session with it, but perhaps there is not anything better. Overall this is great to warm up whole body before work out – at least for me – and gives nice fast response reflexes and hand coordination, one can see the improvement every session. If you are looking at this with interest then give it a go – for the money it ain’t doesn’t matter, just try it …

+ I really enjoy using this, it’s addictive and fun. I really feel like I’m improving hand eye coordination and basic boxing skills. I noticed a negative review saying the strap doesnt stay on your head, I’ve had no problems with that at all.

    – I don’t feel like this provides good cardio exercise. There’s no instructions on how to use it (from a tutorial on YouTube, make the length of the elastics the same as a punching arm length). The ball is actual quite hard and heavy, can hurt your hands if you punch it bare fist. It’s a good idea to use boxing gloves or wraps.

This is my second one of these and this brand is definitely better quality than my first. I find the lighter (black) ball useless as it doesn’t have the right weight to bounce back. The red ball is slightly too heavy so I prefer the red ball from my previous one. I would advise to wear goggles when using this as the ball is not the problem but the string can give you a very painful sting and if it hits your eyes you are in excruciating pain. Otherwise decent quality product with a good headband.

    Average boxing product
    Pros:
    Easy to use
    Velcro strap for head fitting
Colour and design easy to the eye
    Came well packaged
Great product for training your attention and movement
Work out your arms at the same time with or without gloves (I used both found it better without personally)
    Medium level intensity

    Cons:
    String is a bit thin
String is also too long (have to tie a knot to make it shorter for a better reach)

Overall 3.5/5 due to the string length

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersLike all things that are rewarding you have to work at it. I took up boxing in middle age and have been doing it for 2.5 years. This product is great. I use it with some cheap thin gloves or bare knuckles. To begin with it was hard. I have a go every day in the lounge. Cut the elastic to your arm length. Punch it low and with practice work upwards with more force. Teaches accuracy and spatial awareness plus blocks! If the elastic breaks buy a bit more. So from a real if unskilled inexperienced boxer I recommended it. My coach told me to get one and I’m glad I did. I’m going to try to get as good as the guy in the video. It will take time but it doesn’t seem impossible as I’ve got significantly better in just a few weeks and I’m old and slow!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, works, why wouldn’t you?

I bought this after reading reviews and seeing how they work on Youtube. I like the product, but I’m still very much a novice. I imagine that when this skill is mastered, it provides all sorts of benefits. Relaxation. Focus. General sharpness. Bare knuckle, the ball is quite hard. However, I felt this added to the experience. I have had a few painful elastic face twangs which I can’t seem to eliminate, but I can see the value in having this product in collection of fitness gadgets.

Bought it to improve my hand eye coordination. Wish there was a bit of instruction as to how long the string should be. I kinda just tied it off where it worked for me. I’m getting better with it as time goes on and have noticed improved coordination (I think, I hope I’m not imagining that! Lol). Doing it for 10 mins a day has also helped with my anxiety, that small amount of time to focus on the exercise helps calm me down. Will be purchasing for family members too.

  35. Marijean L. says:

No instructions on how it should be set up, plenty videos on YouTube though, very advisable to wear wraps to protect the knuckles as I went to work and people thought I’d been fighting, make sure you start slow as I got a rubber ball in the face and I thought I’d bust my nose, once you get the rhythm going though it’s really addictive which also gets your heart rate going.

Over all I’d say it’s great for getting your heart rate going providing you stick with it and if you are a boxer then it would be great for the reflexes.

Golden Review Award: 101 From Our UsersI’ve had this for a week now and its a really great way to relieve stress and get some light exercise in. I use it a couple times each day for 5 minutes or so. Punch it quite lightly and try to get a good rhythm going. As a beginner, if you throw power shots at it the ball will swing wildly away at speed and you’ll end up with it wrapping around your body as you miss the follow up punches.

So, it’s best to practise using fairly light punches to begin with. You may need to trim the chord to your desired length. They say that a good length is to have the ball hanging to around your belly button or just below. Experiment with different lengths to see what works for you best and then either trim the unneeded elastic or tie it back so that it doesn’t hang down your face. Fun light exercise, good for stress relief and concentration and very inexpensive.
