My Sky remote was being problematic, I was concerned that I might have to marry this new stick with my Sky Box but it worked perfectly straight out of the box.
As soon as I fitted the batteries I was convinced this was the right purchase. This trumpets out the message that this is the genuine article, not a less reliable imitation.
Over the last few weeks I have found it difficult to access a remote control to operate my Sky+ box and am pleased to have resumed sensitive control of Sky programmes.
Previously bought a cheaper version but whilst it worked the sky box, it would not connect to the TV. This one does both. Very easy to set up, although I did have to get instructions on-line as none included with the pack.
As advertised and works. But would love it if Sky gave a recycle note for my old one. The Sky website would not allow me as it demands an account and its my old mother’s (92) remote! So lots of data protection and red tape. Thank you.
The remote works as soon as you put the battery on but, you need to go to sky.uebv.com to register your TV .
Steps you need
1. Open the battery lid on your old remote
2. Identify the sky code RF
3. Know the tv name and model
4. Go to website sky.uebv.com
5. Follow Steps given and press in your new remote
Select & red button together until it flushes twice then add the 4 digits code sky issued.
Product as expected. Needed new one as we had left old one on windowseat in sunshine. It became tacky! Still works so now we have one each!
Message – keep out of sunshine!!
It took quite a while to get the handset to connect with the sky box. Even with the instruction book from the manufacturer with all the model information, it took about half an hour before it connected
In order to set up the remote you need to have a reference number [REV]; which should be located on the inside of the battery cover. On the remote supplied no such reference number was to be found.
I had to contact Sky Telephone Helpline and after waiting ages a very helpful man assisted me get the remote up and running; even though I did not have a REV reference
It was a stressful experience and the suppliers should check their stock for this detail.
I would appreciate feedback pls

The free delivery was swift and the product (Sky TV remote) works fine. Well done Kidz Buzz.
However, the rather sneaky way that Prime is thrust upon the customer is unfair and most annoying. Please accept that one reply to decline Prime is enough. Please stop trying to push the offer through again! I do not wish to take advantage of Prime.
Exact replacement for a damaged remote control. There are many available so it is important to check that it is the correct one for the Sky box. Worked without any issues and set up was straightforward.
I bought this to replace the remote that was chewed up by the dog. It is a genuine Sky remote and came in Sky packaging. It does everything that my old one did before it became a toy for the dog.
great remote for sky plus but ive seen a few people buying sky Q Remotes why are people doing this you dont not own your sky q box
sky plus is diffrent you own the box
Sky Q boxes are loaned equipment supplied to you at no cost and remain the property of Sky (or another Sky group company) at all times. You must not dispose of loaned equipme
I was unable to get the remote to work for volume control and mute, as this remote arrived with no instructions or its Version on it (the Version should be on a sticker inside the battery cover but mine wasn’t).
However, I was able to solved the issue by carrying out the following:
1. With your TV switched ON and Sky turned OFF (this is VERY important, otherwise volume and mute will not work!) press the “tv” button on you new replacement Sky remote control.
2. Now hold down the “select button” and the “red button” AT THE SAME TIME, until the Sky remote’s light flashes twice.
3. Now key in the TV Code for your particular TV model, then press “select” on the remote control (if you don’t know your TV’s code, look for it on Sky’s own website). If successful, the Sky remote will again flash twice.
4. Now turn Sky on and check that everying, including the volume and mute button work.
The above worked for me and I hope the above helps anyone unable to get the volume and mute button to work with these replacement Sky remotes.
My remote was broken so needed a replacement. It did feel that you were purchasing an original when you put in search engine but it’s not and you can tell. Quick and easy to set up, fingers crossed it’ll last.
I ordered two one came boxed and was great the other said new remote but came with a sticker on the back Saying new but I think it was a reconditioned one both working bit the buttons harder to push on the one that didn’t come boxed.
My original controller developed a fault whereby number “3” failed to connect when pressed. This was
awkward for selection of films (301-399 range) as well as ITV (103/203).
Fortunately the replacement has worked well since its acquisition.
Transition from old device to the new one was immediate without adverse incident.

As an aside, volume control is downmarked as I need to use the TV controller to change volume – rather
than this device (which lacks the facility – or maybe the lack is just a feature of my own digibox?).
