Quality as expected, spacious – you can pack your dog with you – practical, fit very nice on back compare my old travel bag, not pulling me back even if its fully loaded.I love shape as I can nicely use my travel organiser bags, lots of extra hugs to attach extras, love option to hide straps behind zip for check in luggage as it will protect it, amazing. Handles on each practical site, attached day backpack can be a bit bigger, but at all extremely happy with my purchase and ready for next big adventure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, spacious, lots of useful extras

Superb bag. Comfortable to carry. Used whilst backpacking around Europe for 6 weeks. Excellent quality with top opening for ease of access to content without having to empty bag to get to your things.

I got discount so the price is reasonable, I just use a small rucksack but I like the design, the quality of design and materials is reliable, endurable and good. I am looking forward to the next trip when I can use the big one!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using Osprey backpacks for backpacking for several years now, and have not found a comparison in quality. I do use a Marmot duffel/backpack combo for travel. It is great for being able to easily switch between the two options, but the backpack part of it cannot compare to a “real” backpack over time. The Osprey Fairview 70 is designed as a Travel Pack. It’s not intended for backpacking, but for use to replace your suitcase for people who prefer a backpack over a standard suitcase or duffel. It is perfect for travelers that only have one bag when they travel, although the one caveat is that the 70L, fully-packed, is likely too big for most airlines’ carry on. I have found you can make it work if you don’t fill it completely and use the compression straps strategically, but it is a big pack. The Fairview 70 gets its name due to its 70 Liter volume size. This the perfect size for travel. For multi-week backpacking, I usually use minimum 65L. 70 liters is enough for living out of your pack for months while globetrotting over the Summer, provided you pack minimally. At under 5 pounds, it is very lightweight. Like their other packs, it is feature0rich, with multiple compression straps to secure everything and make it easier to carry. I have used this pack fully-loaded for several hours with no discomfort. It is fully adjustable for your height and torso so you can get the perfect fit.

The Fairview is gender-specific to women, however I have only seen minimal differences between it and the men’s version (Farpoint).

I love this Osprey Women’s Fairview 70 Travel Backpack! It is the perfect size for long trips and has plenty of room for all my belongings. The detachable 15L daypack is an added bonus and features a lockable laptop and tablet sleeve for added security. The backpack size dimensions are just right, and the harness and hipbelt stow away for easy transport when needed. The dual front compression straps make it easy to secure my items, and the two front mesh bottle pockets are great for carrying my water bottles. Overall, I am very pleased with this backpack! Five stars!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI used this pack for a 2+ week trip to Ireland and it worked really well. It’s lightweight, holds a lot and I LOVE the small pack feature! I took this on and off planes, trains and busses and it’s a fabulous pack.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe Osprey Women’s Fairview 70 Travel Backpack is actually two packs in one. The smaller day pack straps onto the larger pack so they can easily be carried together. But then when you get to your destination, you can leave the larger pack behind and use the smaller pack for a day hike or walking around town. I got this for my son’s upcoming trip to Japan since he wants to pack light and still have a small pack for exploring Tokyo. He didn’t even notice it’s a “woman’s” pack because I cut off the tag.

At a weird time in history when suddenly there seems to be a great deal of confusion regarding what actually defines a “woman”, it seems odd to me that the Osprey Fairview 70 Travel Backpack would be designated as a “Women’s” model. Perhaps it’s the narrow width of the frame, but regardless of the designation, this is a very nice travel pack for a man, woman, or whatever.
