Have only used a few so far – they seem to keep their point and edge pretty well. These came at a good price, well packaged in their dispenser case. All good.
Very surprised at these blades, they maintain an edge and a tip. I have been using one end of my first blade for a week and it is still sharp. Stanley Fatmax dulled within a couple of days and usually lost their tip not long after. I have added a photo of the blade ive been using, left side.
Was only lookign for a pack of ten blades but seeing as these are such good value decided on this pack of hundred. Seeing as there are so many in the pack it affords a blade change once a week and the pack would still last 2 years. Starting to look out for OX brand now that I have several of their branded tools. I used to swear by Stanley, Marples and a few other well known brands of carpentry tools, and until OX, I have shyed away from cheaper (perhaps “made in PRC (China)), brands but OX has given me some confidence.
Very sharp and remain so for many cuts . When I last used a Stanley Blade for fitting a carpet I literally changed the blade after every length cut . These are longer lasting . I bought these as the cost of Stanley has doubled . I’m glad I took a chance
It really is a good package.
1st the blades come in the holder which is well designed to dispense the blades.
2nd proper heavy duty blades so all round OX have done well.
These are good quality blades and stay sharp for quite a while. They do not bend under pressure like some of the thinner blades. The blades come with a thin oil layer on them and should I hope not rust before I use them all, but that is time and storage dependant. Although the blade dispenser is made of plastic if you don’t abuse it then it will last for the 100 blades.
Amazing quality for the price don’t listen to those saying the blade isn’t sharp, they’re trying to have Amazon on, I laid 3/4 of a floor of hard vinyl planks with just 1 blade before i had to to switch it around so I’m still using the same blade and will finish it with this, they are not the best but about half as good as so if you factor in the price and don’t mind switching them around then they’re a bargin. The best blades are like 3 – 5 for 10 out of trade and here your getting 100 for a little more. I use a Milwaukee fastback so blade change takes seconds but would recommend this even if you had to unscrew it.
