Ordered 2 of these, it works absolutely perfect for the flies, unfortunately one did come broke, but the other one is working perfectly and the battery lasts a while, no smell just slightly dramatic when swatting big flies

Really loud effective fry when using it to chase annoying flies. Doesn’t attract many when just left on… the light is pale. It’s still the best swiper I’ve had.

Fried myself picking it up on the mesh without thinking while the light was on.. small burn mark so be careful!

Absolutely works, it’s very powerful, kills them with one zap. I had it set up in its stand and it only zapped 2 flies, so I went around and used it as a fly swat to great satisfaction. It’s good fun and deals with pesky flies.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor a few days I’ve had a very bad tiny fly infestation.. thought I’d give this a try.. never in my life have I had so much fun. Once I’ve got over how loud the zap is but never did I dream how satisfying it is.. made short work of it.. fast and efficient and has me messaging friends asking if they need my services.. best buy this year..

This is really handy gadget. It does help eliminate mosquitoes etc. Very sturdy and less noisy. Practically it looks cool device. Its good big zapper. Does not smell bad. I definitely recommend this. Great value for money.

My flat is plagued by flies and bugs as our management company never ever fix the doors of the bin room so there is just a never ending sea of rubbish to feed the flies add that to the most stupid selection of doors and windows you can’t get screens for that work and there is just no escape. So its hell in summer. I’ve tried everything and those traps work the best but they stink and also attract them more. This is amazing and looks aesthetic. Doesn’t always work instantly so depends if you care about that, I personally think it’s fair game them getting in and laying eggs and causing maggots in your house vs them getting toasted by a fancy looking tennis racket

Since I’ve slept with it next to me this is the first summer ever I haven’t been munched to death by bugs which is amazing as I am allergic to the bites.

Have already recommended it to friends, best thing I have bought in ages

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m really loving this product. It is just so good for killing small flies and insects. When the unfortunate fly or other insect hits that meshed grid in the middle of the racquet, it really does get zapped and the sound is so satisfying that I can say I’m quite enjoying using this. I know it may sound mean, chasing flies around just to kill them, but this product is just doing the job it is designed for and doing it very well.

You get the best of both worlds with this fly killer, and if you didn’t want to be mean like me, and pick the racquet up and chase the flies around until you zap them, then you can always leave it in it’s charging cradle and put the lights on, that are around the edge of the racquet, to attract the flies. I found that leaving it in the cradle works better at night, otherwise the purple lights on his just aren’t bright enough to attract the flies over and above any other lights around. In the dark though, the flies go straight for this and that’s the end of them!

This insect zapper is designed really well, and due to them making the head nice and compact, and with a plastic frame and handle all the way around it, that makes it very light and that enables it to sit in that cradle without falling out. With it being so light it is also really easy to swing this without hurting your arms. In a nutshell, this is a great product, at a great price, that does the job effortlessly.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI never would have thought I was secretly a cold hearted killing machine but now that I’ve got the taste for blood, me and my new magic illuminated death wand are truly a force to be reckoned with.

With every satisfying zap and the ensuing burning smell following a successful fly assassination, I get a sense of utter joy at finally being able to exact my sweet, sweet revenge on all of those buzzing b*stards that have been plaguing me so relentlessly in recent weeks.

The build quality is good, there’s no flimsiness in the joint between the handle and the zapper as I had expected, the charger works well and… good god is this thing satisfying! Don’t hesitate, just buy one.

My only criticism is the listing says 4000V. The box says 3000V… so who knows what the actual voltage on this thing is. I feel like I’ve been misled there. But it doesn’t really matter, it’s a great product. So far no complaints.

    Now excuse me, I think I heard a buzz…

Does what it says. Battery doesn’t last long. Blue light goes off when it’s not charging. So I’m not sure if it’s still charged or not. Otherwise very good. Bought 3 to take with us to South Africa (mozzie & fly country) end of May 2024. I think they will definitely work overtime – especially during hot muggy nights.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis is the best fly swatter I have owned. I had a similar one last year but I think that was poor quality and instead of zapping the flies it was zapping my hand when I held it with my fingers over the USB-C rechargeable port. It appears that the USB-C port was holding onto some electrical charge, which is what was giving my fingers a little buzz from time to time. As it was an electrical issue I got rid of the old one straight away after it started zapping me. Why this one looks and works a lot better, is because it has the charging port / contact on the bottom of the handle so you can’t accidentally put your fingers over it.

What I love about this design is that it has a charging base that it sits in when charging it. This charging base actually doubles as a stand to make this more like a regular mosquito killer whereby the flies are attracted to the light and when they touch the grid they get zapped and killed instantly. If like me you can’t rest until the fly or mosquito is killed then you can just pick the racquet up from it’s base and use this as a fly swatter racquet. I found that some larger flies required more than one zap to be killed, so I zap them once, and then pick them up with a tissue and throw them back on this racquet, and repeat this process until they are totally dead. It may sound like I’m being mean and nasty to the flies but if they can be killed in one hit then this is a very humane way of killing them. Sometimes after the first zap you may find that the fly is still stuck on the racquet so you can instantly zap it again and very quickly put it out of any suffering it might endure.

Another feature that makes this way better than my old one is it’s triple layer design. In the middle of the racquet head is the electrical grid that holds the electrical charge used to zap the flies with. On either side of this electrical mesh is an outer safety grid to prevent anyone accidentally putting their fingers in there and getting a nasty little surprise. The racquet is really light so you can swing your arms freely when holding it without it putting any strain on your arms. The USB-C cable for recharging it actually goes into the side of the base unit and at the bottom of the racquet is a charging contact rather than a port.

This is a really well thought out design and it has been implemented beautifully to not only look nice but work really well. I don’t actually have any negative things to say about it and would therefore recomend this to anyone.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love this car charging stand so you can use it as something that sits in the corner but then go chasing flies if you need to. The only issue is sometimes you don’t realise how many flies it has caught in it when it’s just standing in the corner. It was only because it was making a little bit of a hissing noise that I realised that there were a lot of dead flies. Only downside is that the battery doesn’t seem to last long as when I first got it. But I don’t think this is really designed to be used permanently plugged in and running almost 24/7.

This fly zapper works great. You can either use it as a racket to swat flies or leave it in situ and the fiies are attracted to the blue light.

We bought this rather than buying both a handheld swatter and a standing/hanging zapper. It doesn’t do either of the jobs as well as the individual products do, but as a space/cost saving combo it does well enough.

As a handheld tool, the settings are a little confusing at first – there’s no visual feedback when it’s active in the ‘manual’ mode unlike the ‘always on’ mode, so it’s not immediately clear when it’s working. The swatter works well, either killing or stunning flies with a single swat every time, but it’s a little large and unwieldy for swatting in general.

Similarly, the always on mode catches and kills quite a few flies, but the mesh design needed for it to work as a manual swatter means flies often get caught on the mesh, causing it to shock several times and produce quite a disgusting smell. It’s also a little unsteady as the whole construction is very top-heavy.

If you’re not worried about price, I’d recommend getting separate dedicated zappers and swatters, but as a low-cost combination this works very well for the price.

Very happy, wanted a cheap one but I am glad that i went for this and spent few more quid. It’s very sturdy, well made, love the stand where you can leave it charging or on with the LED lights on which will attract bugs/flies/mosquitoes and will destroy them there without you doing anything.
Already recommended it to few friends.

Have used it a few times for different insects and its worked on all of them, although it does take a few zaps. But that’s not an issue as the first one usually immobilises them.
Haven’t had to charge it ever since I got it as I only use it as needed.
    Highly recommend!

I purchased this electric fly swatter, and I must say it has been a real game-changer during the summer months. We’ve had no flies buzzing around the house since I started using it. It’s incredibly effective at doing the job, and I appreciate how it keeps our home fly-free. A must-have for a pest-free summer!

For some reason mosquitoes home in onto me so for a change it was nice to get one back on them! Full charge take about 90 mins be aware that when it does zap it can be quite loud. On setting two it will drain fast so a couple of hours we use ours first thing in the morning when doors are open before recharging.

Was a bit sceptical making this purchase because of quite a few negative reviews. But from the first day of having it I quickly realised that there was just lots of whingey people reviewing. It does what it’s meant to do. I bought an expensive lantern type zapper last summer that barely did anything and was hard to clean. I don’t entirely understand manual mode yet but automatic mode works just fine.

I don’t like to just kill every bug but we all know those great big blue bottles that buzz at your window and won’t go out no matter what you do and how many windows you open (which just lets more in) and this is great. Love that it’s wireless and has a docking stand. We had a battery one before and you never have the right size ones when they run out etc

Bought this product as I seem to constantly get tons of flies in my house as the windows are open because of summer. The bat itself is great and has a satisfying crack whenever you actually get a fly, it stuns them and they either fall on the floor or get caught in the bat and get hit a few more times. It comes with a pretty nice charging point as well so the bat is always ready to go when you need it. Very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy/recommend it.

Much better than the black version so far (the battery failed on the black one within a month) and it feels more solid. This upgraded version has the charging connection to the stand which I also prefer over being attached to the body. The battery doesn’t last that well in the automatic mode however and so this mode best when attached to the base.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis thing is an absolute killing machine. I tend to have a pedestal fan in front of my window and that’s how I ventilate my room during the summer. I have added this bad boy in front of the window and besides providing a lovely ambient light for my room, it also kills like a firing squad. From insects as large as a moth to the tiny and annoying flies that crawl on your computer screen at night, it gets them all. The UV light is brighter than what the phone camera can show and it’s even good to use if you want to spot stains on your white bed sheets.
The battery life is not great, not something you can keep on all night if on a trip and you don’t have access to electricity. Maybe if you plug it into a power bank and it’s a hefty bank then yes, but make sure your phone has enough charge before using the whole power bank on this.
Overall, this has been the best purchase of the year for me. I can finally sleep during the summer with my window open.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's worth every penny.
