As someone who is not a plumber, I didn’t realise there is one correct way for this to be placed. It would be good if they have a water flow diagram with the item.
If it doesn’t work the way you wanted, turn it upside down.
Great fitting, I can now switch between the fixed head shower, an a normal shower head, really pleased with the fitting, had to use 2 washers to seal it to the shower outlet. Thank you.
This made a whole lot of difference to my shower bar as mine originally could only do one short head. Now have the option of either the main or small one . Great price and simple to fit. Definitely recommend.
Bought to switch between rainfall shower and shower head. So far it has worked perfectly. I would say to not over tighten this item when fitting. This could damage the internal mechanism. With the seals a little over hand tight is enough.
It doe’s exactly what I brought it for, I did find it a bit fiddly to fit but then I do have arthritic hands. But once fitted it works just fine with out any leaks at all the only tool I had to use was an adjustable spanner.
I have fitted the bypass valve to our electric shower which has a fixed shower head, now my wife can use a hand held over the sink to wag her hair. Work very well
Brought a couple of these before and when they arrived if was cheap and plastic looking. This item was good value for money and sturdy. Satisfied with the product and have recommended to a friend.
One word of caution, we made a mistake with it. Our intended purpose was to add an additional outward line for an extra shower attachment. What we had not taken account of is the fact that one of the positions is totally off. Not having worked out which was which we connected it, turned on the shower and no water came out. Before we realised what we’d done wrong we have ruined the shower unit which needed to be replaced.
This was our mistake, not faulting the product, just warning you that if you are going for the same option, never have it in the off position.
