Based on the selection, SmartImage dynamically optimises the contrast, colour saturation and sharpness of images and videos for ultimate display performance.

Less eye fatigue with Flicker-Free technology

Due to the way brightness is controlled on LED-backlit screens, some users experience flicker on their screen which causes eye fatigue. Philips Flicker-Free technology applies a new solution to regulate brightness and reduce flicker for more comfortable viewing.

LowBlue Mode for easy-on-the-eyes productivity

Studies have shown that just as ultra-violet rays can cause eye damage, shortwave-length blue light rays from LED displays can cause eye damage and affect vision over time. Developed for well being, the Philips LowBlue Mode setting uses a smart software technology to reduce harmful shortwave blue light.

A great monitor, we researched for the highest specs we could get for a new monitor for our gamer son at the budget we had and loved this monitor so much, we have now bought a second one so he has matching screens. Thank you Tannas Ltd. Lovely friendly and proactive customer service too. A pleasure to deal with.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought two Philips 273V7QDAB – 27 Inch FHD Monitor a few weeks ago and I am really pleased with the quality of display, sharpness, colour contrast and slimline frame. They came with the HDMI and power cables and were easy to set up (almost plug and play). I connected them with my laptop in “extended” mode and can have different screens and applications across different monitors. The monitors are quite stable even on my normal desk and working with the external keyboards, mouse etc. Attractively priced, these are a great companion with the laptop or desktop.

I bought this as a replacement for an office-class HD monitor, that I use as a secondary display, which was failing. I don’t use it for gaming; I have a separate gaming-class 4k monitor for that, so I can’t comment on games performance. This one has a good clear picture, it’s good and bright and has a slimline profile. It’s as good as any other and I’m expecting to get years of service before I need to replace it. It’s not the cheapest you can buy but I prefer to get a brand I know & trust when it comes to electronics.

Time came for a monitor upgrade, had to have basic speaker functionality and all three types of monitor input available.
Doesn’t disappoint. Kids can watch super clear You-tube Vids, Play Games, Wife can read reviews on shopping sites clearly, I can edit photo/video files and work happily.
    Worth every penny.

Make sure you change your colour to “User Define” for a better colour setting, also make sure that you change your screen refresh rate to 75 in the Windows display settings.

Got this for a second monitor; it delivers really well at the price of purchase (149.97); the colour accuracy and contrast ratio are almost on-par with my 400 Alienware monitor, so I think this is a great purchase for anybody aiming to use this as their first monitor.
The speakers are present, but they’re only good as a backup
Wall mountable is a great addition, surprisingly hard to find for a monitor at this price range
No USB slots at the back of the device, unfortunately 🙁

I’ve been using this monitor for over a month now. Very happy with it. I’m a writer not a gamer, that said, I am most impressed by the picture quality, by the choice of settings for different uses. Great purchase. Great price.

Bought this 2 years ago for university, the speakers aren’t great but for the price they are enough, or you might as well get external ones. It servers me well for anything from gaming to watching movies and studying. I just wish you could adjust the screen a bit more, and the stand takes up quite a bit of space, but apart from that it’s perfect.

    Would defiantly recommend!

I was so impressed with this monitor for the price I bought 5 for the office. They have a nice crisp screen 75hz refresh rate and look very smart. The sound is a bit naff but I’ve not found a monitor yet that has even slightly useable sound. Highly recommend them for daily office use … They also have built in anti-blue settings to protect your eyes (can be set to about 3 different levels). I would say they were also ok for general gaming but if you are after something for 4k gaming and intensive graphics use I would go up to the next price range but for office work I wouldn’t go anywhere else as they are perfect.

To be clear I am happy with it. replacement for 19″ monitor in server room that failed after < deit(y : ies) of your choice knows how long. Mounted Verticality so fine. A caveat is that the documentation is quite clear that it cant be mounted with it angled downwards by more than 5 degrees. Issue with the screen glue it seems.

A very good PC monitor with colour and pixel quality outstanding. I found this to cope with most applications with low lag and jitter. However the internal speaker is quite poor for gaming and video/audio playback. But I wouldn’t of relied on a reverberating diaphram device, hitting the plastic casing to be a reliable source of sound. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought it because I’m working from home during the last two projects that I’ve been running with and for what I use it for – O365 docs, spreadsheets, PowerPoints, etc – its more than adequate for the price. I’m sure there are better ones but not at this price point. The speakers arent up to much, but sub-100, you wouldnt reasonably expect that. Running at Tribit X-Sound Go with it and its fine. Very happy with it.

So much so, I’ve bought a second one for my partner to use for her working from home as well.

    I like it.

I bought this for home office as I work remote much of my week at the minute. It sits alongside my much more expensive HP monitor on a dual monitor stand and I am happy enough with my purchase. It isn’t as bright as the HP even with tweaking but it is perfactly adequate for ordinary powerpoint, word, excel etc. I do not game on it so cannot comment there.

Nice looking screen, has abit of an issue in darker patches in games other than that it’s perfect, it is 75hz despite what some people are saying just right click on ur wallpaper go onto display settings down at the bottom there’s the advanced display settings you can change it there

I bought this to replace my 12 year old 1080p Monitor, and I have been missing out on so much.

    Colors – Amazing
Quality and build – Stands a bit flimsy, screen feels sturdy

I ordered this expected a much later delivery date as well and it got here within 24 hours which I did not expect, though warmly welcomed.

If you are upgrading from an age monitor and want bright, accurate colors you cannot beat the price. The 75hz refresh rate has also improved my smoothness in the games I play.

The only gripe I have is that there is noticable vignetting around the edges, other then that it is perfect for me.

This is a good size monitor for general use. The picture quality is excellent, the 75 Hz screen refresh mode is useful for gaming – off course serious gamers want a 120 Hz monitor. I normally use the monitor at 60 Hz, as the settings in Windows state that 75Hz is not the recommended frequency.
It should be noted that the screen does not flicker even at 50Hz; for LCD/LED monitors the image is static and the frequency denotes the screen refresh rate. The old CRT monitors required a minimum of 72 Hz for comfortable working.

    Disadvantages:
    – the title angel range is very small
    – stand is a bit wobbly
    – lowest brightness/contrast can still be too bright for a dark room (but all monitors I know have that problem)

I use this as a 2nd screen for my laptop, to watch videos on. The display is good quality and the brightness is quite good as well – often a problem on low cost monitors but not this one.

Picture quality is good and it is a great addition to my Working set up.

Really impressed with the look of the monitor. Easy to set up, no dead pixels, the stand however is very much an after thought. Cheap plastic, seems very wobbly and insecure, but the monitor is whats important and its great. Built in speakers are mediocre, ok for Zoom / Skype calls but for gaming external speakers are a must. Only reason its not 5 stars is the qualityof the stand.Let’s just hope it stays upright!

This monitor was purchased to replace a smaller Samsung monitor I have had for some time. Having used it for a couple of months I am very happy with the picture quality, and for the price this is good value. It could be improved with a the addition of an adjustable stand to allow the screen to be tilted, but this is a minor issue.

I am a university student and I get it when the price drop. Around 60 pounds. It’s a bargain for the price and the quality. 1080p resolution look sharp enough for academic work and media consumption. The only downside of this monitor is the speaker really terrible and the stand is too big. But these two problem can be resolved by using other wall mount or pc speaker.

But 70 quids for it? It’s probably the best valued monitor I have ever had!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI have a good thing going just now with regard to working at home. I just needed a decent low priced monitor for a secondary computer which I use for video rendering – after a lot of investigations chose This one. The price is good, the size, and it seemed good value the fact there were speakers in the monitor and …. it had everything I needed.

However, that said I do regret my choice.
The monitor over all is good and would be great for an occasional or regular office type work person.

    However, my issues are ….
Although the monitor has a great picture (and it does) the sound is rubbish. Come on Philips – you could have done better, especially with you being world leaders in churning out technology. Utterly rubbish sound.

My second issue, it’s a big one for me, I do video making on you tube. Some of my videos are quite long and if anyone understands about video making rendering times are long too. The monitor has a terrible flaw of going into sleep mode while I’m doing a long render. That in turn is switching my computer into sleep mode and delaying my render … so I can’t render over night or leave it unsupervised While I work at other things, I have tried all the settings and I cannot turn off this sleep/power save mode. It SHOULD be optional, power save mode is a good thing but it should be choice. It also seemed to over ride all the settings on my computer regard to sleep mode – I googled and it is a thing with some monitors that they seem to make life difficult this way. I ended up installing software to prevent the monitor from taking the lead in this department.

So to sum it up – good Size screen and enough for ordinary use if you don’t need to play music or watch videos.

As far as the screen goes i have no complaints at all. The colours are good, the blacks are good. However, the stand is not as stable as it could be in that the screen moves when i type for example. I never had this problem with my cheap, antiquated VGA monitor.

Great monitor… using it for working from home and it’s great for video calls with 1 or multiple people. Also good when just working away. Did think it was a little too wide when I first started using it, thinking I’d just had apps in the middle and not use the sides, but now I do all the time.

Great having speakers built in too. This model has the volume/menu/power on the bottom edge of the case, really easy to use. Will consider another one, so I’d have 2 if I’m going to be WFH much longer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery nice monitor, excellent screen ideal for all day working. Light weight and narrow bezels that add to the attractive appearance. I may buy a second one to put along side to make viewing even more immersive.
Like many I’m now home working and this certainly improves on just a laptop especially using Excel. 4 stars only for gaming as I don’t use it for thit, but suspect it was not designed for this usespecifically, unlike others.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI decided to buy this monitor as an upgrade from my old one (which you can see on the left in one of the photos) as it was very small and me being short sighted meant that I couldn’t see anything whilst playing games or doing work. This monitor is really what you’re paying for, the picture is perfectly fine have had no problems whatsoever and it’s nice and big which is just perfect to be honest. No problems with it at all. Came super quick as well! Ordered it and was told it would come in a week but it came next day! It is also very easy to put together and comes with a vga cable as well as a power supply and an audio cable. Only downside is the speakers are kinda meh they’re not amazing but they’re not bad either. They work and considering they come out the back they’re not that bad. It’s not exactly surround sound quality that you’re paying for anyway. Overall really good and would recommend!!!

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersI bought two of these 27″ 16:9 monitors to replace my old 19″ 4:3 aspect-ratio monitors (see photo – the old ones are mounted on top. These are a revelation and my advice is, if you’re weighing up the choice between a new 24″ or 27″ monitors, try to squeeze the 27″ ones in – you get so much more screen “real estate” (i.e. visible area) for a very few extra .

What I like about these: the picture quality, weight (they are extremely light), great viewing angle. I chose the version of these with both a DVI and HDMI input, as it was important for me to be compatible with most new graphics cards. I didn’t want DisplayPort inputs as these seem less important with changes happening in the HDMI specifications (and match the cables. I haven’t tried the sound output from these: at this price it’s really not important how good or bad the sound is. If you’re worried about it you should really be getting separate active speakers. Finally I was completely blown away at the extremely narrow physical bezels – makes for great screen continuity. Overall highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent crisp picture and tiny bezel: great value for money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this monitor for the large 1080p display, good refresh rate and built in speakers which I can still say is brilliant value. However, the audio quality of the speakers is appalling and cannot be adjusted, the sound has a poor range of frequencies and is very echoed.

If you are choosing this monitor because of the speakers I would reconsider choosing a monitor without speakers at a cheaper price. However, if you rely more on using a headset/headphones then this may be a good choice as you have the option of switching between the two while saving on having to buy separate speakers.

Overall picture quality and the 24 inch display are perfect for gaming and work, allowing plenty of space to split the screen for seperate tabs.

I was completely surprised at how good this monitor actually was once I got it. It came with a 75hz option which I thought it wouldn’t come with. The speakers aren’t the best but the screen looks very nice and it also comes with many options to choose from

For the money this is hard to beat. Using it as a second monitor for my laptop.
    Pros – Good clear picture
    100 x 100 VESA mounting
    Looks good
    Lightweight
    HDMI, Displayport, VGA

Cons – Speakers are good for a backup but wouldn’t be pleasant for regular use

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGives a nice bright image and dark light contrast is very good. Thin bezel great for multiscreen setup. Don’t rely on the speakers for anything other than occasional use, if using as I am with an amazon stick it has a 3.5mm plug for audio out for speakers or bluetooth sender adapter. Pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersThe monitor stand feels flimsy and poor quality. Being all plastic it is a bit of an eyesore.

It’s simple and quick enough to attach the base to monitor.

The monitor itself very sharp and clear with no distortion around edges of text nor is there any observable ghosting when gaming.

It’s very easy on the eye when browsing or reading; further aided by a reading mode in addition to a low blue light mode.

Little disappointed when I found its missing video cable but that was quickly resolved by Amazon. It also lacks freesync at 75hz but for 1080p gaming 60hz is more than adequate with vsync on to keep frames locked to 60fps.

The osd menu is not as intuitive as the E line monitors which have a nice toggle at the back and pressing the buttons to navigate the menu causes the monitor to wobble quite considerably.

Besides the stand and lack of freesync I couldn’t find any other monitor with displayport and it is a good quality at that.
