I did try to sort things out, using the ‘bot’ – only rthe bots seemed to be having one of those kind of ‘Hal’ meltdowns (think 2001). First, it asked me to wait until October,my missing delivery to be delivered. Next it asked me to return my missing delivery, before it would give me a refind or reorder? It al went downhill from thereon. I contacted a real person, & they were fantastic! In your face ‘A’ not so ‘I’ – my replacement order arrived when they said it would, & my initial thoughts are that it seems to be doing what it’s supposed to do. I just gave my facial fuzz a quick touch up, so I can’t be more specific than that. Nor can I class the battery performance, after a twenty second blitz – I’m just glad that it arrived & that ot works, for now.
Not bad for the price. It does tug at my hairs a little but generally it works.
Bought this for my goatee it trims this very well love the foil blade and attachments battery life is very good easy to clean and change the attachments so glad I bought this I do have other trimmers which are a little on the large size and this takes over for fine shaving where the others don’
I had the first version and it died after 4 years! So it was only logical for me to get the latest model and I can tell you this will last 4 years with no issues. ISA
I bought one of these when I was 16 from tesco, I am now 25 and I am buying my 2nd one because the 1st has just broken down!. Best for sharp lines, detailing mustache when you don’t want to use a blade.
I only wanted the product to trim and keep moustache looking well .It is an excellent,easy to use trimmer/ shaver. Best one I ever used.
No doubt it is great for a full beard too.
This product is good and I would recommend it. However, the main unit does not have a flat bottom. This means you can never set the main unit to stand upright without it toppling over. I don’t understand why Philips would design the unit like this. It is of good quality as you would expect and feels good to the touch.
the power is fair on the unit but could be slightly better or blades a bit sharper. I find after using about a year + i take a extra few passes over hair to make sure its all cut.
the foil shaver does a very good job and the normal trimmer attachment, cleaning both blades can be a bit fiddly but its necessary.
I bought it because or the narrower head, for shaping its.
The main gripe I would have is the razor came in packaging which was perfectly adequate for transport but a bit fiddly to keep it in, with a plastic tray and a transparent plastic lid. A dedicated pouch would be better.
Overall, not a bad razor. I like the foil head attachment.
Cuts hair well, it can be a little sharp on the skin so not as smooth as the others I have tried. I still recommend this though as a nice little backup.
Sort of in the middle with this as the battery life is terrible. I like it because its small and light but the only problem is i end up having to replace the battery after 1 or 2 times i use the product. Also hair gets stuck into the blades so reduces efficiency so you have to tap it against the sink.
A nice little detailer. I use it for my moustache & then on my scalp after I’ve shaved my hair off. Give a nice bald look when I go over my head after shaving (with beard trimmer). Good for shaping my tash. Great for the money as I couldn’t find one till I looked here.
for it’s price it’s accurate enough but it doesn’t give that close of a shave. It’s decent, compact and simple.
1) foil shaver cuts well. Performance is close enough to razor.
2) does not consume tooo much battery life

1) foil shaver may not be effective for coarse and thick face hair.
2) blades leave cuts on the face and throat. It is good to make neckline, but not suitable for overall shaving with blades. It ia better to use foil shaver for face and make neckline with conventional blades
I like it’s small size, it makes the little Philips easy to handle and unobtrusive when trimming facial hair. I like it so much that I also use it in my sideburns. I trim them a little bit with the M comb, and give the last touches with no comb attach. My sideburns now look perfect all the time. It works so well that I started to wander if I could do some styling “down there”. And I did. I like to call it ” The Crazy Mohican”, it’s so much hygienic than going “full forest”, and it makes me feel fresher. My wife said she likes it, she thinks it makes me look younger and cooler. She was so impress with the results, that she asked me for a piece of the action. So I trim some of her hair too. She definitely looks cooler now.
The little Philips comes with a foil shaver head, which I had no use for it, till I realized that my neighbour’s dog could do with a hair cut. It worked perfectly, now that the summer heat is here “cuddles” is relived of all that unnecessary hair.
So all in all a great piece of machinery, I will recommend to anyone who is over forty, has a wife or a neighbour with a dog.
