Had one before but I broke it, got this one. Even better than one I had before, even got a spare blade and the one I’ve had before didn’t come with a spare blade so I’m happy I got this one. It works like a charm. I recommend i
I use this product for all of my shaving, face and body with the two provided blades. The battery life is great and the design is brilliant too. The product feels of a high quality and is very efficient.
A must have for men! Couldn’t recommend a better electric razor.
I have been humming for months to buy this seemingly incredible gadget… Well like so many, I was circumspect of buying it & suspicious of the rave reviews… BUT BUT BUT I took the plunge and bought it. OMG WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO GET IT??? STUPID ME… Because this thing is probably 1of the best inventions ever. What an investment!!! In case you don’t get it, I am thrilled & extremely happy to have it.
I’m going to throw away my Gillette wet razor and shaving foam… I don’t need them anymore.
Happy Days…
Just Do It – get one!!!
Excellent product, it’s my second one as i lost my first on holiday, great for shaping your beard or just shaving with it. It’s without doubt the best Electric razor i’ve ever had
I bought this on sale as it was actually cheaper than buying new blades. This one came with the shave head that adjusts – a vast improvement on the fixed individual heads it used to come with.
This will not replace a blade razor, not quire close enough. But at a beard trimmer and neck shaver it is excellent. It never nicks me, which I am prone to and is si so easy to whip across my beard and sharpen up the edges. Highly recomended.
Bought this whole bundle for not much more than the price of 2 blades on their own so well happy , like the fact that it’s got usb charging cable. Razor is good ,Job Done
My son is severely autistic. Does not like noise he cannot control. Does not like having his head and face touched. Will not sit still for teeth brushing, wash and hair cut. This is great. Half the noise of an electric toothbrush. Tried this on myself first and you cannot cut yourself even if you press hard. Can use lightly on my son and when he moves i do not have to worry. He now sitting calmly to have a shave, AWESOME! Will be well used to it once he starts getting the full stubble everyday.
I have sensitive skin and this is by far the best razor/trimmer I have used to date. It’s softness in the skin, cutting the hairs and not pulling them out of the skin makes it a dream to use.
It will never leave a tight stumble free shave but it will leave a close shave that looks like a clean shave with a traditional razor.
I’ve used it on daily and with a 10 day gap and it has performed perfectly.
I usually use a hair shaver for getting my face stubble down, and then a 3 headed razor for the rest (Braun series 7) but I decided to get one of these to see if they are any good. I have not shaved for about 2 weeks. The unit came fully charged and within 30 seconds I had done the right side of my face. 4 mins and I was done. Not as close as when I have a Razor shave BUT still close enough to make my current shaver redundant. And unlike the other shaver I have had no reaction in the form or red blotchy bits on my chin (which are usually instant)
Edit: Also really good for ladies legs if you need it!
I am loving the fact you can go up and down makes it so much better too! – Highly recommended
The high-praise reviews are right. It’s worth it. I’m sort of annoyed at myself for not believing them, or for not trying this sooner. It proffers an irritation-free shave, super quick & easy to use, and I genuinely won’t look back! Tbh, before purchasing, I was sceptical and didn’t really understand it?! But basically it’s still an electric razor (with sharp teeth which quickly pass back & forth), and the teeth are at the end of the razor blade but the cool thing is, it’s the blade which lies flat and runs across your skin, and it’s double-ended (teeth on both sides), meaning you can actually pass it back & forth, effortlessly shaving hairs on either end of the blade. So so so smooth! Didn’t nick myself once, battery lasted to do my whole body in one session, I’m super happy. Only gripe is, when you open the box, it encourages you to download the app & the app asks you to connect by Bluetooth, but this model doesn’t support Bluetooth, so I wasted 20 mins of my life lol. That aside, highly recommend. Oh, and I love the eco-friendly packaging! Big win.
Great piece of kit which I use regularly. Charges easily and the battery lasts seemingly forever on a full charge. Blades are sharp, precise and last quite a while before goi g dull which makes a nice change. Even cuts through my thicker bits with ease 🙂
Although I like the product very much find it really easy to use. I also find that the head comes off too easily to the point where, after less than a week I lost the head off timer mine had to spend 30 to buy three new ones.
Without doubt the best electric shave I have ever had. This thing works. Simple as that. Shaves so close it’s just like an open razor without the cuts and nicks and takes 30 seconds. If you like a wee bit of stubble you can use the length setter easily. Don’t hesitate to buy this, you’ll wonder what you did without it.
already have one but wanted another for travel, so purchased a few days ago when on sale fir 20.
considering it comes with a second blade plus one adjustable trimmer (as opposed to several fixed sizes like my first one) and a travel pouch, this was an absolute bargain.
I only use for facial hair, so cannot comment on other areas, but for what I use it for, this is the best yet.
Great beard trimmer for the short bearded people very long battery life on one charge, only disadvantage I see is you can’t properly trim the length of your beard with the clippers provided
The Philips OneBlade has completely transformed my grooming routine, and I can’t help but sing its praises. This innovative grooming tool truly lives up to its reputation, offering a seamless experience that caters to all my facial hair needs.
The design of the OneBlade is sleek and ergonomic, fitting comfortably in my hand. Its compact size makes it easy to maneuver and reach even the trickiest areas. Whether I’m shaping my beard, trimming my stubble, or completely shaving, the OneBlade handles everything with precision and efficiency.
The dual-sided blade is a game-changer. On one side, the sharp edges glide through hair effortlessly, trimming it down to the desired length. On the other side, the rounded tips protect my skin from irritation and cuts, ensuring a comfortable grooming experience. I’ve had no issues with nicks or discomfort, even in sensitive areas like the neck.
One of the standout features is the flexibility to choose from different length settings. The adjustable comb attachments make it easy to achieve the exact length I want, whether it’s a neat stubble or a clean shave. This adaptability means I can experiment with different styles without needing multiple tools.
Cleaning the OneBlade is a breeze. The detachable blade head rinses under water, and the device itself is water-resistant, so maintenance is hassle-free. The battery life is impressive too — a single charge lasts for multiple grooming sessions, making it perfect for travel.
If I had to find a drawback, it would be the relatively high replacement blade cost. However, considering the longevity and performance of the OneBlade, it’s a minor inconvenience in comparison to the convenience and quality it delivers.
In conclusion, the Philips OneBlade is an absolute grooming essential for any man. Its versatility, precision, and user-friendly design make it a standout product in the market. If you’re looking for a hassle-free grooming tool that caters to various styles and needs, the OneBlade is definitely worth the investment. It’s changed the way I groom, and I’m confident it will do the same for you.
Very light and small device, working fine not sure for how long it will last , trmera is not the best it’s moving around. This more like razor then trimmer in my opinio
Bought this primarily to replace an older electric travel shaver.
The Oneblade comes with 2 blades, a USB charger, a trimmer head, a cover and a small bag which could be used for keeping everything in for storage or travel.
Have use it for shaving and trimming. Trimming is good, useful for round the ears, sideburns and neck (I have no beard).
If you are a clean faced wet blade user expecting this to be anything like as effective as your current manual razer, you will be disappointed. But it will be good as a travel shaver or for a quick shave when you’re in a rush.
It is good that it can be used wet or dry.
Overall good, better than my old electric travel razer but won’t be throwing my manual blade wet razer in the bin yet!
My teenage son uses this, he doesn’t have a lot of facial hair so this is just for keeping his upper lip and the sides of his face hair-free. I think if he had more or thicker hair this might not be the best tool but it is very easy to use and safer and cleaner than a razor with foam/water etc. It holds a charge really well and he says its comfortable to hold. My only gripe is that it doesn’t come with a case or stand and for the price I feel it should.
This works well, my first shave with it felt like I had wet shaved with a razor. Been using it for a few weeks now and it is nice and easy to use. Yet to need to change the head but I don’t shave daily.
I purchased this after I decided that my previous tools were inferior. First I used a foil razor, it gave me Ingrown hairs and a rash, mostly around my neck. I switched to a device that clips hair, no irritation but it wasn’t a close shave. Phillips one blade granted me the benefits of all my previous attempts, a close shave and no irritation. I try to be slow when I use it so I don’t hurt myself. I wash the blade after and use a small brush to clean it. I am greatly satisfied with my purchase.
This shaver gives as close a shave as a blade razor but without the burn/rash and ingrown hairs. My skin down there is pretty sensitive so I can’t wax and still have some downtime after shaving, plus shaving is effort. so I thought I’d try just keeping trim. Well never expected an electric shaver to get literally as close to the skin as a razor but without the faff and aftercare. It’s so quick, no risk of nicks or rashes I even bought one for my sister who also agrees it’s been a game changer and so much easier to maintain now. Not so great for underarm or legs, but I highly recommend this product for lady bits. Took this on holiday and took the stress out of keeping the bikini line in shape.
I’m wondering how long the blade’s will hold up. Still on first one and it’s cutting well.(3 weeks) Use on my stubble. It gets close. Haven’t used wet. Zero nicks. Hard to do under nose. I recommend.
I really like the one blade. It is fairly unique in what it does. It is in-between a close blade shave and using a clipper. Very useful on days you don’t feel like a shave. It is also useful when I feel like shaving after a long time. I use it to cut the beard down to a manageable length before I a close shave. The only marginal gripe I have is with the charger. It is unique to the product and inexplicably, they changed it a while ago. So, my new one blade has a different charger from the old one. Given that electricity has not changed in a century, there is no reason why the charger should really have to change. There is no discernible change in the way one blade operates. So, why change something that is working? Change for the sake of change is entirely is unnecessary.
I bought this on the recommendation of a friend who wouldn’t stop raving about his OneBlade, and how it was the only shaver he’d tried that didn’t leave him sore and/or bleeding. I confess, I primarily bought this to use on my scalp rather than my face, as I was fed up with getting razor burn from my disposables, and the added promise of minimising the risk of cutting my scalp while cack-handedly trying to shave the back of my skull was also a factor.
I’ve now used this to shave my head, neaten up the edges of my beard and neck, and have even given the old chap a tidy up (that extra blade came in handy), and it did the job quickly and effectively with no soreness or bloodshed.
All in all it’s a great, compact little shaver, so why not the full 5 stars, I hear you ask? Well, my main quibble is that it doesn’t give anywhere near as close a shave as a razor, or even a foil shaver, instead it leaves you with at least a day’s worth of stubble. This may not be a big deal for you, but it does bear mentioning as, if you’re expecting that silky smooth, just-shaved finish, you’re going to be disappointed. It’s also quite a diddy little razor, handy for precision shaving, but makes shaving a large expanse like my bonce slightly more time-consuming than it could be.
Edit: after 4 or 5 uses it seemed to struggle to get through my scalp hair, so I have gone back to a wet shave for my head. I would knock it down to 3 stars for this, but it still works on my face and is not marketed as being for scalps.
I own the base model OneBlade and recently bought the Pro too.
Philips have been cunning in designing their model range to encourage people to buy the Pro model which no doubt has a higher mark-up. Unfortunately I think they went a tad too far in handicapping the base model.
The flaw with the base model is the outdated NIMH battery (I believe the similarly priced Remington model uses a Lithium). They compound this flaw by not having any kind of battery indicator. All you have is a light on the charger to show it is receiving power but the light doesn’t even go out when fully charged.
The battery takes a long time to charge so you just have to time it yourself as you have no idea if it’s full or not. The problem is that NIMH batteries have a memory so you can’t really keep it on permanent charge. This is a big problem as you don’t know how how much juice the battery has left due to the lack of an indicator. So you can’t win. You either risk running out of battery mid-shave, or risk charging it too soon and creating a memory problem that reduces battery life.
So definitely spend a bit more for a Lithium model. Just the one up from the base model.
The shave itself is excellent. Not as quick or close as a top of the range foil shaver but excellent for the price. Compared to my top of the range Braun foil shaver, the OneBlade can shave to a level my beard would be at 5 hours after using the Braun. This is very impressive for such a low cost item (10% of the price of my Braun) which is really designed for stubble trimming so to do so well on a close shave is incredible. Being close but not “too close” means that you won’t get ingrowing hairs with this.
I’ve not used it on a long beard but it works great trimming a few days worth of stubble too. It could do with a wider range of trimming guides for blending so it was that issue combined with the battery problem that made me buy the top Pro model. The Pro model has a slight disadvantage in that its large trimming guide unit can make it hard to trim the hairs by your nostrils (you start stabbing your nostrils with the spikes on the guide) but you can pull the guide off and trim those bits by hand.
The replacement blades might look expensive but then from what I’ve seen in video reviews, the performance of this device is superior to the Remington model which doesn’t need replacements. Ultimately it costs less to run than my Braun did with its cleaning fluid refills and I am sure this is cheaper than buying replacement blade heads for your Gillette.
I’d give the base model and the Pro a 4 star out of 5 review.
I now have the ultimate combination of the Pro model with its great battery and adjustable guide, as well as being able to use the more compact trimming guides of the base unit it on it. So I have a 5 star out of 5 product! Just a shame I had to buy two devices! I wish they had chucked in some of the base models guides with the Pro unit. Buying such things separately (like the body hair guide) is a bit expensive and clearly Philips are trying to rake in some big money with a large mark-up on those accessories.
WOW. This has to be the easiest feedback I have ever had to give. When I read all the other posts about the one blade I wasn’t sure if I was going to give it a shot as they were either great or negative. Anyway I decided to take a chance as I could always send it back it it wasn’t right.
It arrived this morning via prime so that was a good start and as I opened up the box I began to think Oh no what have I bought here? But to my great surprise I put it together which wasn’t hard and I didn’t need to call in the experts to help which is always a great start. The one blade simply clicks in to the top, Although I was expecting to have to charge the unit first before trying it out, it comes fully charged, bonus…
So to how well it worked for me. I normally have a good few days of growth as I don’t work so no need to be pruned all the time, but how would this handle my normally very coarse facial hair? I was gobsmacked, I could not believe this strange unit not only cut my stubble but gave me a shave as close as my wet shaver, this thing is quite simply a shaving revolution, it is fantastic. It shaves in any direction, with the grain or against, up or down.
I can’t speak for why others have had such a poor response to the one blade but I can honestly say I love this this, no more multi blades or shaving gel for that matter for me, this has taken pride and place over the rest…
I will be writing to Philips to let them know how pleased I am with mine.
At the end of the day, if you hate shaving, give this a try, you never know, you might just be as surprised and pleased as I am…
Now there is just one small niggling issue I have and that is the cost of replacement blades if you can call them that? But as I hear many people say, “you get what you pay for” and to be fair the cost of blades for my normal shaver are quite dear anyway, the the true test will come when I see how long the blades last..
But overall a good buy.. Thanks for reading…
One has to shave very differently from using a rotary shaver; the area covered is much smaller and there is no reservoir for the dust. However once the shaving technique and the dust collection has been mastered it gives a very good shave.

Wanted a quick way to get a close head shave as using a razor left me with irritation.
This works great! Easy to use and zero irritation and very close shave (about the same as one day after a razor shave)
