The first time I shaved after installing these I thought that they weren’t working because I couldn’t feel anything happening. Turns out I had just forgotten what it was like to have sharp blades! Well worth the money for a much nicer shaving experience.
Replaced my existing original blades with these. The originals were approx. 5 years old. These transformed the shave, it’s now a much more precise cut and feels great again. These blades are slightly different to the ones I removed, like a more improved version but bit perfectly the same as the ones removed. Bought on offer. If you can get these sub 30 you won’t find better for genuine replacements. They are edging on 40 in the catalogue and chemist shops.
When I changed the heads, I noticed an immediate difference – clearly, my old heads had been blunt for some time; the heads are still pretty sharp, and I think this was a worthwhile investment rather than just ditching my existing razor.
Buying cheap generic replacement cutting heads has been a complete waste of money because generic rotary cutting heads do not tackle the beard the way genuine Philips rotary cutting heads do.
I’ve had my philishave 3000 for a few years now. Its important to keep the heads clean as they can get blocked up with skin and hair so it could be worth checking before you buy new heads. If you’ve had one for a few years you’re probably ready for new heads. I tried the cheap copies and they’re not worth the few pounds they cost. Quite painful as well because they tend to snag and pull the whiskers. I bought these new heads and have to say I can’t remember my shaver being this good when I first bought it. Well worth the extra money. Its like a brand new shaver fir a fraction of the price.
I’d bought replacements that were Phillips shaver equivalent and I couldn’t get a decent shave from them.
Although slightly more expensive, at least I get a decent shave from the real thing.
Replacement parts from Philips do the job, instructions on the side of the box but it is pretty easy to do anyway. Shaver works perfectly as it should. Very happy with our base, came quickly and exactly what we ordered.
I decided to pay the extra for the branded product and haven’t been disappointed. However, the installation of the new circular blades was tricky, as they were slightly different to the blades supplied with the original purchase. But I got there in the end. I’m now on the hunt for the elusive pre-electric shave lotion, which is a rather old-fashioned product, but which makes electric shaving easier.
This product is just what I needed ass my old blades were getting a bit old, it’s nice to get a genuine product at a very good price and get satisfaction with using it excelle
These blades are for a 9000 series Philips shaver which Philips says clean after each shave under the tap. Sorry Philips if you do that your shaver will eventually grind to a halt, which mine did. What you have to do is remove the cutter from the shaver, then remove the blades from their housing, if you can. Then with the brush that Philips did not provide with the 9000 series Prestige very expensive shaver, brush all the clogged up whiskers out. Simples.
