I’m impressed with how well this works. Although the shaver is a little bit slow, it just need multiple passes up and down and it shaves just as close as a double edge razer.
I never thought I’d be writing a love letter to a body trimmer, but here I am, pouring my heart out for the Philips Bodygroom Series 3000. This little gadget has truly revolutionized my grooming game, and my groin has never been more thankful.
First off, let’s talk about the waterproof feature. Now, I can take this bad boy into the shower without any fear of accidental electrocution—a big plus for a klutz like me. It’s like the trimmer knows I have a knack for dropping things, and it’s there to reassure me, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this!”
The trimmer’s dual-sided design is a stroke of genius. On one side, it’s the classic trimmer for tackling the wild, untamed forests of my chest and back. On the other, it’s a foil shaver, delicately designed for those, ahem, more sensitive areas. Let’s just say my groin has never been so pampered. It’s like the Ritz-Carlton of trimmers down there now.
The skin protector is a lifesaver, quite literally. No more tiny nicks that make me do the “ouchy dance” in the bathroom. It’s smooth sailing from now on, which means fewer awkward explanations when someone catches me wincing and holding an ice pack in a not-so-appropriate place.
I have to give it to Philips; they’ve made something so efficient, it’s almost poetic. It’s quiet, too, so I don’t have to worry about my neighbors hearing an odd buzzing sound and wondering if I’ve started a beekeeping hobby in my bathroom.
In conclusion, the Philips Bodygroom Series 3000 is the superhero my grooming routine needed. My only regret? Not getting it sooner. It’s not just a trimmer; it’s a confidence booster, a relationship saver, and the most trustworthy shower companion a guy could ask for. My groin and I have never been happier!
I find this exceptional. It leaves skin smooth and the best thing is that the hair grow back soft. Awesome product, can be used on any part of the body..
Alright, so I tried out the Philips Body Groomer, and let me tell you, this thing is like having a personal lawnmower for your body. It’s got more power than a tiny jet engine, which is great because now I can go from Sasquatch to smooth in no time. It’s so efficient, I almost expected it to start trimming my hedges next. Plus, it’s waterproof, so I can tackle my yeti transformation in the shower without clogging the drain. The only downside? My cat now gives me suspicious looks, probably wondering if he’s next! If you want to turn your jungle into a well-kept garden, this groomer is your new best friend.
This is much better than I though. I have two very expensive Manscaped clippers and this one beats them hands down. You can use it without fear of being cut to ribbons like the Manscaped clippers (you do get used to using it carefully though). The Manscaped feel better quality and are quieter but that is where it ends, this Philips one is way better. Only downside is it’s a little noisy but that is the trade off for an inexpensive, safe bit of kit that does the job everywhere admirably. It’s a no-brainer if you are looking for a Body Groomer and a baby-soft shave.
Works great and no fear of cutting is nice, waterproof and cordless makes it super easy to use. The motor sounds quite powerful so seems like it’s gonna last a long time.
I’ve found this to be good for things like cutting my hair and general tidying up, where I think this fails to really achieve its potential is that when it comes intimate trimming or body hair the device is less convincing which is a shame so much so that I have booked a professional waxer to sort it out as I didn’t feel this was good enough for the job.
I guess the thing to remember with devices that aim to be a jack of all trades they generally end up being the master of none and this is true of this device.
Bought for my partner who wanted something to keep her private areas neat and trim. She’s making good use of it, oh yeah! Waterproof, easy to use in the shower. Very satisfactory! 🙂
Excellent groomer. Leaves a nice smooth finish around the undercarriage ( as long or short as you want!) good battery life ( depending on usage )
In the beginning gentle strokes till your confident for that shorter finish
I would have given this product a 5-star review, if the video they show was actually accurate, but 4 stars it is.
let me premise this review with the following, (1) never used a body Hair trimmer before (2) was not expecting the results I got from this is trimmer, (3) I’m quite a hairy person.
so first, the battery life lives up to expectations A+, cannot fault the battery life.
The waterproof feature A+ works well in the wet and dry.
I was expecting the trimmer to just trim hair, not completely remove it, on that front I was pleasantly surprised. However, the video shows that a single pass along the hair removes all the hair, this is blatantly NOT TRUE, it takes some effort to remove the hair, and had to do 4-5 passed over the same area before the hair was removed. if I was Philips, I’d remove that video and put some more true/accurate. The back hair extender is a little flimsy, didn’t always get the angle needed, and sometimes it locked out of position, but got the job done more or less. the cradle did keep the trimmer secure and the trimmer never came out once. so, to summarize, more or less happy with the trimmer, does require some welly to get the job done. I did research alternate trimmers/ blades and came to conclusion this was the best solution without cutting up my skin. I hope to use this trimmer for the next few years, also Philips offered an extra year warranty when u register the product online. so, an extra bonus there.
I am extremely happy with this purchase. It is double-sided so it handles well with both longer and shorter hair. The shaver is waterproof so it can be used really easily under the shower. The side with shorter blades rotates so it’s very easy to use it on body parts that are harder to reach. The product comes with a small brush which is quite useful with cleaning. The small black bag is also a really nice add-on, as it’s quite useful for storing the shaver. The product additionally comes with a British plug charger (I ordered in UK, this may differ in other countries).
Battery life usually lasts for me for around 3 uses. After that the shaver’s power weakens and even though the product still works, it has issues with shaving hair in one go, you usually need to repeat the shaving to have smooth skin or recharge the battery.
I recently purchased the Philips Series 7000 Showerproof Body Groomer and Trimmer (model BG7025/13) from Amazon, and I must say it has been an outstanding addition to my grooming routine. This grooming tool has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, durability, and convenience.
First and foremost, the showerproof feature of this body groomer is an absolute game-changer. It allows me to trim and groom with ease while in the shower, saving me time and ensuring a mess-free experience. The device is water-resistant, so I never have to worry about it getting damaged by accidental water splashes.
The precision and versatility of the groomer is truly remarkable. The dual-sided design incorporates both a trimmer and a shaver, providing me with the flexibility to achieve the exact look I desire. The trimmer side is excellent for trimming body hair to a specific length, while the shaver side effortlessly delivers a close and smooth shave. The self-sharpening blades ensure consistent performance and eliminate the need for frequent blade replacements.
Another standout feature is the adjustable trimming comb, which offers five length settings ranging from 3mm to 11mm. It allows me to tailor my grooming style according to my preferences and easily maintain a well-groomed appearance. Additionally, the rounded blade tips prevent skin irritation, making the grooming process comfortable and irritation-free.
I also appreciate the ergonomic design of this groomer. The rubber grip ensures a secure hold, even when using it in wet conditions. The groomer’s battery life is exceptional, providing me with long-lasting power for multiple grooming sessions before needing a recharge. The battery indicator is a useful addition, allowing me to monitor the battery level and plan accordingly.
Cleaning the groomer is a breeze as well. The detachable head can be rinsed under running water, and the included cleaning brush effectively removes any residual hair, keeping the device hygienic and ready for the next use.
Overall, the Philips Series 7000 is a top-notch grooming tool that delivers outstanding results. Its durability, versatility, and showerproof design make it a must-have for anyone looking for a convenient and efficient grooming experience. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable body groomer that consistently provides excellent results.
This is the most effective body trimmer I’ve had – and I’ve had a few. Did my normal routine in record time.
The double-trimmer heads working with the foil make for short work of your unwanted hairiness.
Saying that, I didn’t find it particularly great (despite what other reviewers had said) on my testes and manservant. It left my sack looking a bit ‘raw’ and I did get one small nick. (maybe I’m pressing too hard) In light of that I’m going to stick to a wet shave for that area (trick is to shave in the growth direction – no nicks) but for the rest of me it was excellent – highly recommended.
Bought as a replacement for an older, similar device it was a bit of surprise to have it delivered unwrapped by a smiling delivery driver. Note this if you’re ordering as a gift or are shy of stating to the world that you ‘body groom’!
I’ve spared you an unboxing vid as breaking the seal, opening the end flap and sliding out the interior carton was quicker than a camera set up. From this point on however, you might want to put on the kettle!
The trimmer arrives completely discharged and according to the sales info, this takes an hour but fear not you hairy nutted people, you will easily fill this hour after you plug in. If like me you’ve had one of these before, you’ll also find you are now the proud owner of a ‘spare charger’ so into the box in the garage that goes, just in case…
The instructions aren’t important but do provide a couple of key points in pictoral format. You musn’t put the device in your eye (bang goes that idea) and the foil blade should be replaced after 12 months. Other pics show you the combs you could buy as extras to the one supplied and there’s some dodgy pics of which direction to move the trimmer on different parts of your body but probably not the part of the body you bought this for in the first place.
Registering for 36 mths extended warranty is offered should you have the ‘cojones’ to send the broken item back full and covered in your, cojone hair trimmings. To qualify, all you have to do is scan a QR code (use this as the UK instruction for this is actually written in Greek – no lie) and agree to Philips sending you junk mail. To register your product you’ll need the model number which you’ll find Amazon have conveniently covered with your address sticker. Return to the room where you’ve set the device charging and attempt to read the model no. on it. Find a magnifying glass and try again. Return to the registration form online to find your computer has now gone to sleep and you can start the registration process all over again.
By this time, your trimmer will be well on its way to being fully charged – don’t forget you’ll have to reboil the kettle now as well as you’ll need a cup of coffee before you contemplate the next move of actually using the thing. Whilst sipping your coffee, take a final look at the bare-chested model on the box and, accepting the trimmer will not make you look like that, chuck the box in the recycling bin.
The product is very good. Nevertheless, you must be careful in how you use the head, mine got ruined after a few uses (maybe for a longer life I suggest slow strokes on the body) and continuing using that head the situation just got worse and worse, with one time that it really irritated my skin.
However, I contacted the support and they’ve been very helpful. They sent me a new head, and this one didn’t get ruined after the same number of uses. I will now keep using this head slower in my body and see if it really lasts 12 months as they say.
The charge is quite slow, therefore I suggest to leave it to charge over night or while at work before using it to not be disappointed. The battery allows to do the whole body without any issues (I’m 180cm tall and fairly hairy) leaving even some battery charge left.
So, I’ve had this for a long while now (purchased late 2019) and never got around to writing a review, so here we go. I will preface by saying that I specifically purchased this product for the nether regions and that I am a man.
This thing is definitely good, especially for the price-point, more-so when considering that the much-advertised “Manscaped” trimmer goes for almost triple the cost of this and you can still nick yourself.
Because of the design of the blade/foil on the Philips, the likelihood of you cutting or nicking yourself is basically nil, as the foil is smooth and the blade is on the outer edge. However, the downside to this design is that I find it really does not like to deal with long hair. Before I give-out “too much information”, I’ll just say that I am a very hairy man all over and my hair grows back pretty darn quickly; I pretty much sport 2 beards, if you get my drift.
The first time I did a once-over with this trimmer, I’d honestly say it took me well over an hour, if not 2 hours, to get the nether regions to a smooth finish. I didn’t do an initial trim with my other trimmers as I would have no doubt nicked myself to oblivion, almost making this purchase a pointless one.
It was constantly getting bogged down, requiring me to turn it off, remove the blade to clean it out, then put it all back together to use it again (then again, it isn’t meant for “beards”).
Even on hair that was trimmed every month or so (about 1/3rd of the initial length), it would still get clogged-up and therefore take me a long, long time to get a smooth finish.
Now, because of the fact that I should replace the blade (should have done a while ago), it really doesn’t like cutting anything over 1-2cm in length.
On the topic of the blades, they are pricey. 15 per blade, which is essentially half of the price of the entire kit here on Amazon, which I think is ridiculous.
Overall, if you keep yourself regularly trimmed downstairs and want something cheap for easy and pain-free upkeep, this is a really good purchase. If you’re more like me and want something that will allow a full-shave, due to fast-growing hair or because of laziness to upkeep, you might want to look at the newer 5000 series or even the 7000 series.
As someone with a bear like body I bought to trim and shave my torso and my grenades and the major. . .
I’ve never used one before but after much looking into it decided to give this one a go.
At over 5000 global ratings and 84% 4&5 stars at the time of writing – it can’t be bad!
I’ve used it several times now and this is my take on it. . .
What do you get?
– The razor. It’s showerproof! You can use it in the showerThe foil detaches easily for cleaning too
– A 3mm comb attachment
– Charging cable with 3pin mains plug
– instruction booklet
Charge it up overnight and you’re away to go!
How was it?
Brilliant! As I said, I’m a pretty hairy guy. I used the 3mm attachment for my torso and it took the excess off with ease and very neatly. It is very buzzy and not quiet at all but that’s not a problem in my case.
The intimate shaving aspect is very good too in my opinion. So long as you pull everything tight this thing pretty much glides over everything stripping you down to a smooth finish. Although not shave foam plus razor – like, it’s pretty close and my partner was impressed as was I.
Razor rinsed and dried out ready for next time.
No razor burn or nicks cuts or anything. Moisturised and good to go 10 mins later
Yup pretty happy with this one which will come in handy for what I’m hoping is a long hot summer
Highly recommended
