What can I say they are easy to put in to the electric razor, I could tell straight away the difference from my old blades. So yes it is worth changing the blades in you razo

The first time I shaved after installing these I thought that they weren’t working because I couldn’t feel anything happening. Turns out I had just forgotten what it was like to have sharp blades! Well worth the money for a much nicer shaving experience.

The razor is back to new again. The heads are quick and easy to change and should last 12-18 months like the originals, though it does say 2 years on the box. Compared to the cost of a new razor it’s a no brainer to just replace the cutters.

Replaced my existing original blades with these. The originals were approx. 5 years old. These transformed the shave, it’s now a much more precise cut and feels great again. These blades are slightly different to the ones I removed, like a more improved version but bit perfectly the same as the ones removed. Bought on offer. If you can get these sub 30 you won’t find better for genuine replacements. They are edging on 40 in the catalogue and chemist shops.

I hadn’t realised quite how blunt my shaver was until I put these in. I’d only had the shaver for a couple of years and don’t shave every day, but what a difference!

I only purchased them because it wasn’t turning round and I noticed a small dent on one of the foils. With the fresh set in it’s better than I remember it being when new.

When I changed the heads, I noticed an immediate difference – clearly, my old heads had been blunt for some time; the heads are still pretty sharp, and I think this was a worthwhile investment rather than just ditching my existing razor.

Wow, what a difference. My first Philips corded shave lasted 15 years with the same heads . Had this one 4 years and recently started so notice it wasn’t shaving as close and I was shaving twice a day. Thought it was an age thing ( I’m 59) and that my facial hair was getting thicker and harder to cut. Having read that the recommended blade replacement period was 18 months ( sales pitch ? ) I decided try new heads as cheaper than a new shaver.
Though about buying the cheaper non brand blades but honestly for something you use every day why take a chance to save 20 ?
Have to say what an amazing difference. When I first put them in and tried the shaver I thought they were not working . The shaver moved effortlessly across my face , so much quieter, i actually took them back out to check they were in properly ! My shave is now so close that my skin is smooth again, and I have lost the ‘shadow’ that had gradually appeared over the last year or so ( my wife even noticed and said I look so much bette ! ). Best 40 I have spe

I thought that I had ordered heads for the RQ1180. Even when they arrived I didn’t realise they were wrong. Unfortunately I couldn’t see the actual socket mechanism only the foil. Once opened I immediately realised the drive mechanism was wrong. This was quickly refunded by Amazon. Thank you for a very quick response.

The quality of the heads appeared to be very good and very good value for money. Obviouly I cannot say what it was like in terms of use as they did not fit.

The shaving heads do go off over time but its so gradual that it’s hard to notice. Replaced the heads with these and all is good again.
Easy to install if fiddly, if you have fingers like sausages get someone to help/do.

I have had my shaver for quite a few years so invested in a pack of replacement cutters. It made a difference in a closer cut as it did when new

I purchased three new cutters for Philips shaver. They arrived ahead of promised delivery time enclosed in Philips box and were, from the big improvement in the shavers performance, clearly genuine Philips items,
but not anywhere as expensive as other vendors. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed. My old blades where well past best. Got these to try as it’s alot cheaper than buying a whole new shaver. These have made my shaver like new again. The old ones were struggling with 1-2 days beard growth but these replacements have now issue with 4-5 days growth. So very pleased

Fit perfectly, installed in less than 2 minutes, first shave was close, second shave equally smooth, so hopefully they’ll be a good purchase, and a lot cheaper than a new shaver !.

Didn’t think there was anything wrong with my blades. I had to hack away a bit and go over the same bit over and over and it made that harsh shredding noise as it cut through it but I don’t remember it ever being any different. Then the change blades symbol lit up (i had to google what it was lol) so I got these new blades which are an upgrade on the original replacement blades (I checked the Philips website).
It’s not just like it’s new again, it’s like a better shaver. I just tore through 3 days growth in near silence, just the quiet buzz of the motor. It’s like a wet shave in less then half the time it used to take. I was thinking of buying a new shaver cos mine must be 10 years old by now and was still on original blades but I don’t use it all the time. It seemed expensive 26 for just the blades but it was well worth it (an equivalent new shaver would be over 90). Can’t say enough how good and sharp these blades are compared to the old ones. Fitting them was super simple but I watched a youtube video first just in case (I wouldn’t have known you can pull the whole head off). Took a couple of minutes tops.

Pretty obvious what I use it for. My Philips razor has lasted me well, and I’d bought some cheap replacement shaving heads, which were OK but never gave me the ‘original feel’ of the shaver. I used a gift token to buy these original manufacturer heads, and they restored the feeling of close shave thet I’d forgotten about.
That’s all! I’m never going to buy cheap replacement heads again!
(Of course, they are just as fiddly to install, as they always were! But we don’t have to do it every day!!)

What do you want from new shaver heads? They glide over my face and cut brilliantly. It’s just like a new shaver. I chose Phillips heads and yes, they cost a bit more but worth every penny. Excellent shave. That’s all you wa

Product was promptly despatched and arrived in original packaging. Very pleased, does the job. Effective too, saves on buying an expensive new shaver.

Never bought replacement blades before but these are ideal and seem to be working extremely well.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHave been needing some new heads for my Phillips 5000 series S5xxx for some years now, Have been way beyond the 2 year recommended time period and my old heads were well past the use by date and not cutting very well. I was a little apprehensive reading some of the reviews of what I was actually going to get.
Well it looks like I need not have worried. They turned up in a Phillips box (which did seem a little worn) and were supplied on a card in a clear vac formed plastic enclosure. There was one of those white plastic security bar thing inside on the back of the card. As far as I can see they looked the genuine article. Gave my razor head a good clean before putting the new cutters in which are always a little fiddly. I had about 2 days worth of stubble and tried a dry shave to see what they were like. I was very surprised that they were far better than the old ones and even managed to get the long hair under my chin and on my neck which the old ones did not really cut much at all. Very pleased with the result and money well spent I think. Certainly saved me purchasing a complete new razor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent replacement cutter heads

I was having trouble sourcing replacement blades for my Philips HQ6894. The original blades must have lasted a good 10 years… but suddenly one of the 3 heads was making a nasty buzzing sound. Lookng at the shape of the heads, I thought I’d give these SH50/50 heads a try, since they do have that half-moon crescent thing going on on the outside, just like the HQ6 heads.
Long story short: they arrived, they fit, they work slightly better than my defunct ones (just prior to the buzzing). One thing though… My shaver head has each disc slightly pointing inwards. The three-lobed shape of the head is thus concave, to fit the convex shape of much of my face (e.g. chin). However, when moving over bits that are concave on my face (e.g. neck junction) the shaver lobes tilt out a bit, and sometimes the new heads also buzz. A tap on the head will sort it out, and it might be my shaver. YMMV. Overall this behaviour is less of an issue than no blades. One of the things my quadra will do, which the newer ones wont…. is shave when just plugged in, even tho the battery may be empty. The newer shavers tend to be either wet n dry or be able to run off mains & battery. So the quadra is worth keeping IMO, on top of wanting to not just throw stuff out if you can replace bits.
In any event, here (collected fom MFR site, for the HQ6 series blades) is the list of shavers that these blades will probably fit:
