The razor is back to new again. The heads are quick and easy to change and should last 12-18 months like the originals, though it does say 2 years on the box. Compared to the cost of a new razor it’s a no brainer to just replace the cutters.

Replaced my existing original blades with these. The originals were approx. 5 years old. These transformed the shave, it’s now a much more precise cut and feels great again. These blades are slightly different to the ones I removed, like a more improved version but bit perfectly the same as the ones removed. Bought on offer. If you can get these sub 30 you won’t find better for genuine replacements. They are edging on 40 in the catalogue and chemist shops.

I hadn’t realised quite how blunt my shaver was until I put these in. I’d only had the shaver for a couple of years and don’t shave every day, but what a difference!

I only purchased them because it wasn’t turning round and I noticed a small dent on one of the foils. With the fresh set in it’s better than I remember it being when new.

When I changed the heads, I noticed an immediate difference – clearly, my old heads had been blunt for some time; the heads are still pretty sharp, and I think this was a worthwhile investment rather than just ditching my existing razor.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWow, what a difference. My first Philips corded shave lasted 15 years with the same heads . Had this one 4 years and recently started so notice it wasn’t shaving as close and I was shaving twice a day. Thought it was an age thing ( I’m 59) and that my facial hair was getting thicker and harder to cut. Having read that the recommended blade replacement period was 18 months ( sales pitch ? ) I decided try new heads as cheaper than a new shaver.
Though about buying the cheaper non brand blades but honestly for something you use every day why take a chance to save 20 ?
Have to say what an amazing difference. When I first put them in and tried the shaver I thought they were not working . The shaver moved effortlessly across my face , so much quieter, i actually took them back out to check they were in properly ! My shave is now so close that my skin is smooth again, and I have lost the ‘shadow’ that had gradually appeared over the last year or so ( my wife even noticed and said I look so much bette ! ). Best 40 I have spe

I thought that I had ordered heads for the RQ1180. Even when they arrived I didn’t realise they were wrong. Unfortunately I couldn’t see the actual socket mechanism only the foil. Once opened I immediately realised the drive mechanism was wrong. This was quickly refunded by Amazon. Thank you for a very quick response.

The quality of the heads appeared to be very good and very good value for money. Obviouly I cannot say what it was like in terms of use as they did not fit.

ONLY THE ORIGINAL PHILIPS SHAVER HEADS DESIGNED FOR MY PHILIPS SHAVER GIVE THE SMOOTH RESULT I WANT. I’VE TRIED OTHER ‘COMPATIBLE’ (AND CHEAP) HEADS – DON’T BOTHER, THEY HAVE NOT YET PROVED THAT THEY CAN MEET THE QUALTY RESULT OF THE CORRECT ORIGINAL

Have had this shaver 2 yes this is 1st set of replacement heads and they are giving a cleaner cut , wet or dry, so worth the change. They are a bit expensive but should last another 2 yes

Exactly what it says on the box.
Heads were replaced as per instructions and it’s a far better shaving experience than it was in the last few months with the okd heads.

Extremely difficult to fix in the shaver head. Once in, settled into the head and appear to give a good shave.
Slightly unsure as to whether these are genuine Phillips items rather than a copy.

My shaver is a 5000 and these particular heads are made for the angular shape of the shaver heads. Actually a bit of luck for me … but I will know next time.

I decided to buy the replacement heads for my 5000 series shaver which is now two years old and used daily but to my disappointment, I discovered only a marginal improvement in performance.

These blades are a bit disappointing. They are not as sharp as the one I bought with the new shaver last year. I’m not sure that they do this on purpose so you buy some more in 6 months, or I’ve been unlucky with the ones I bought.
