Cleans my Philips shaver so good but I leave the silver foil top on after opening the container as my old one the cardboard in the lid ended some in the liquid and when I cleaned my shaver it went inside the cutting blades and it slowed it up had to wash and clean it out so be careful and keep the foil that you peel off to open it up and put it back on after use.
Pulling the top off cartridge could be a little easier but very easy to install and keep your shaver clean. If you use them once a week like I do you get about three months out of a one I think they are great for keeping your shaver clean and fresh.
If you get a pod with the shaver, good, if not buy ONE.
Refill from Shaver refill bottles – 1 litre for 3.99.
The pricing point for these is a ridiculous ‘disposables’ scam to keep you buying.
or throw all that plastic in the sea?
So these aren’t that cheap but in truth you don’t need to clean your razer every day, once or twice a week is fine – just open it up, knock out the shavings, run it in the quickpod and rinse. Do that and they last ages. The biggest problem is the quickpod unit itself isn’t sealed – this is both bad for evaporation and because you can’t take it anywhere. I do leave the lid that comes with the cartridge on top of the quickpod and that stops much of the evaporation but it’s still a stupid design.
Really good idea for hygienically cleaning your shaver – leaving it cleaner than washing with water alone (especially when you live in a hard water area). Also the liquid contains lubricants that keep the shaver working at its best for longer.
Excellent idea if it extends the life of the shaver.
These cartridges add that extra level of cleaning and help maintain your blades at the perfect level for continued cutting.
I still rinse my shaver under the tap first, but then popping it into the pot makes sure I am keeping it in top top condition.
The pot also doubles as a handy stand.
These refills are good value for money and last a long while for many cleans. I would recommend them.
These Quick Clean Pod Replacement Cartridges, work very well. Cleaning the shaver head removes the hair and skin trapped within and keeps it trapped within the solution for easy disposal. Quick and easy to swap over when no longer useful and easy to dispose of
As the title. Works it seems but too costly for a bit of liquid.
I’ve never been sure whether the advise was to leave the cartridge in the pod or to remove it once not in use with lid on. I never liked leaving it in as I’m sure it would just result in evaporation. Or, for sure, I’d just knock it and send the liquid everywhere.
Cleaning wise:
After each use, I dust the shavings off. Quick rinse under the tap. Then a shaver cleaning cycle with water only (I keep one empty cartridge for this, but initially just used water in the pod itself).
Once a week, I do the above, then use the liquid cleaning cartridge as a second pass. Hoping this way, by the time the shaver gets into the liquid to keep it in better condition for longer. Time-wise its not time consuming as you just set it and leave it doing its thing for another minute.
Price:
Bit of liquid in 2 cartridges and its over 10. I’m sure there is more science in mouth wash and that shows far more value.
These aren’t cheap but they do last quite a while. They definitely do a better job at cleaning the shaver and keeps it running smoother. It smells nice too. A tad expensive but worth it for my 250 shaver.
I got one of these pods free with my new shaver and was highly sceptical about them. I tried it once a week and found myself wanting to use it more often as my shave felt more comfortable after using the pod to clean the shaver.
I ended up using it daily as a trial and decided it was worth the expense for the greater comfort I felt. It’s a personal preference of course but I’m glad I got the free one to try. This pack is good value, having compared prices online. I signed up for the 6-monthly subscription.
Well worth the price , three tubs for less than twenty quid , far superior to rinsing under the tap although I do that first to remove the bits , a minute in the tub and the heads are super clean and disinfected, also extends the life of the blades.
Expensive for what they do but does clean Philips razor although if you are using wet / dry razor with gel or mousse wash under tap before using as it will not remove or clean gel fully
I’m surprised how well these clean the shaver, even when it’s quite fun of stubble but you do need to have the unit from Philips that these fit in. If you want to extend the life of the pod only clean the shaver ever other day as you can only get 30 cleans out of each pod, so doing this the pod lasts 2 months.
I got the first pod when I bought the shaver. I was a bit dubious as to how useful it would be but I have found this to be a good way to clean and freshen the shaver. I don’t clean it daily, probably 3 times a week or so and one pod lasts quite a long time. When the first pod ran out I was happy to buy these replacement.
