I bought this because my wall socket is behind heavy furniture. I can now turn everything off totally or individually. The place for my phone and iPad charging is helpful too.
This Extension Lead with 2 Way Plug Sockets and Individual Switches. Is wall mountable & it is mounted easy with a peace of A4 paper and a pencil, place the paper over the back of the sockets then just simply rub around the back to make the square shape & then poke the holes with your pencil. Then hold that against the wall, mark the holes with your pencil, there is no wall-plugs or screws included so you have to supply your own but it was easily fitted. There is a spare 13amp fuse included but I’ve not needed it yet!
Really please with this product. I wanted an extention so I could have a couple of sockets in my hallway where there are none so i could plug a lamp in. Looks neat and tidy and a well made product. Great to have the power switches on there too. Great price too
The plugging-in surface is slanted, and at first I found the plugs were not going fully in (that’s not very safe…). I got used to it however. After a bit of bedding in it seems just fine. I would suggest changing the fuse for a recognised good British make (just to be on the safe side).
Seems like a good quality adapter. The extension cable copper core appears to be of described size and quality upon removing plug for pre-use inspection. Individual switches appreciated and they seem like good switches.
4 stars instead of 5 as it doesn’t include the required unusually small wall mounting screws so I now have to go to b&q and guess the required size as normal wall screw heads don’t fit into the small mounting holes.
It does include an extra fuse for those fond of dangerously overloading adapters.
Decent product. As seen in the photos I have used this to gain a set of plug sockets. They are for my Child as we are creating a under stairs den for him and needed a plug for a light. These were chosen as they have on and off switches so he can turn his new light on and off
I bought this outlet extension because of the independent switches that allow me disconnect electronics when not in used. It feels like a good purchase and seems to have high quality but I will tell you after a yea
The only fault with this product is that, if the intention is to fix it to a wall or surface, the little keyholes on the back of the product are very small and it is difficult to find pan head screws which fit in the holes. It would be far better to include (in my case) two screws, rather than the spare fuse, which will probably be lost anyway and spare fuses, if and when required, are widely obtainable. This is what makes my review four, rather than five star.
I think this is a brilliant product, I had previously brought a couple of smart plugs so I could turn devices off without unplugging them, but smart plugs require internet access and do still use some power at idle, so I tried this out, and providing you can reach the switches, its much better than unplugging plugs, just flick the switch. Its a good intermediate option.
This is a good item. Was cheaper than other models but is well made and had more different connections than other models. Also easy to install and connect to the desk.
It feels well made and is heavier than I expected it to be. The switches are sturdy and have a good click feel.
It’s a bit wider than standard due to the buttons being positioned above the sockets as opposed to the side on other models.
Not sure the spacing is that much wider or much of a selling point as they state as there’s only around 2mm of space between plugs and I’m using very standard UK plugs, especially since the whole item is quite short.
I have a power strip from IKEA that has a lot more spacing in-between sockets but it is around 15cm longer…but also significantly cheaper.
I like this plug because it’s safe and sturdy and has a perfect length of flex for my purpose. Spent ages shopping around for a multi plug. My only gripe is that, placed on top of a low drawer unit, I can’t easily see the wee red lights that tell me which sockets are switched on (hence not perfect, hence 4 stars). The top of the plug with those lights is angled downward away from sight.
Compared with others, though, they all seemed to have defects of some sort (electrical faults, cheap materials, too big, no switches, wrong length flex, etcall had a compromise).
Soo, on balance, I’m pleased I bought this multi plug.
