My wife loves board games so bought her this for Christmas, she and I have had great fun playing this together as well as with my family and hers. It’s a straight forward game of chance, you “bet” on outcomes and then win on that. The outcome can change in the space of a round and we have had many a laugh while playing. It is another great game for playing together in a “competitive” way without there being any real animosity. There is a winner and a loser but it is mostly determined by luck and there is little each player can do to affect the other player’s game, so I found it to be a very fun, peaceful, relaxing board game to play with others. There are less fights and more laughs with this game than any other.

Great family and friends game, especially if you know super competitive people that get upset with losing or perceived inequality within a competitive game. It’s just really good fun betting pretend money on a crazy out come.

Bought after a recommendation and reading some reviews online. Initially it takes a while to understand what you can and can’t do during a turn. Played with my niece and sister remotely as they both had tested positive for COVID and were isolating in different rooms at their house as tested positive at different times. As you are betting on the camels and they aren’t your playing pieces it worked rather well. Although the bet on overall winner and loser had to be face up rather than face down cards. Had to be a bit creative with cameras so they could see the board to take their turns. One of our favour board games now. Good quality product as well.

Bought this for my parents and was worried it might be a little tricky to learn but I was wrong. It’s super easy to play and also very entertaining with how unpredictable it can be.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’d like to open up by saying, that my initial reaction when this masterpiece of a board game was described to me – was scepticism. A game based on betting on plastic camels racing around a sandy desert track in the shade of towering pop-up palm trees. I wasn’t sold.

Then came the preliminary stage, the explanation on how to play. Slightly wordy, slightly confusing – as many board game instructions are, but we persisted and the game was underway.

What came next can only be described as a euphoric experience climaxing in an unbelievable build-up of excitement, surprise and jubilation. The game had twists and turns, ups and downs, and surprises with every round of betting.

What an experience! Our group of 7 were on the edge of our seats and cheering by the end. Would recommend to anyone. Shout out to the makers of Camel Up – you’ve smashed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest board games of all time.

This is a clever, easy to play, and best of all fun family game. Youngsters will enjoy it as much as adults, but with enough strategy for just adults to play and have a great time.

Played this game over Christmas and had to get one for myself.
My only complaint was opening the parcel to find the bottom of the box was damaged. Some sort of quality control is needed when sending these items out.

Got this as a Christmas present for my 5 year old. She loves playing it and I have too. When I first looked at the instruction sheet it looked like it was going to be too complicated but it wasn’t once we’d had a go. Really glad I bought it, great family game.

We love this game. We didn’t try the extension for 8 players but that’s because it was Christmas Day and we didn’t want to read too many rules. It’s so much fun to analyse the next move even though luck plays such a huge part. The youngest playing was 16 but I’m sure younger people could play.

Amazing game to play with friends. It says its for 3 to 8 people but I think 5 players is the best.

The board and components are very well made and the dice throw (the pyramid) looks well made.

To learn the game we watched some YT videos and after first round we all knew how to play it.

We had a lot of fun playing it and will definitely play it more times. Worth to buy it.

Really enjoyed and easy to learn. Instructions so take a bit of reading to properly understand but it’s a great game when you get the hang of it!

This game is a gem. It is perfect to introduce someone to board games. Very easy to learn, quick to set up, and no need for a heavy strategy. It is funny as things can change extremely quickly.
Ideal to play with the family, children and seniors included.

Initial play through proved enjoyable probably more fun with larger group but quite unpredictable. Mostly down to chance but good fun.

Great fun but actually prefer the original. Not enough coins provided and the black and white camels are annoying. Would still recommend this. Terrific game

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have heard about this game when the first edition came out. I am not a big fan of board games but I needed some fun as family during this lockdown so I finally decided to buy one (and I chose this 2nd ed instead of the first Ed)
I am so glad I bought it! My kids, 7 & 10 enjoy it and so do we (grown up).
It is so fun. The mix of predictions, strategies, lucks and crazy camels make this game so exciting.

Love it so simple and great for family. My only wish is the track was maybe a few squares longer as it feels with 4 players the races are over pretty quick

I was a big fan of the 1st edition of this game, but the new version is even better. A great start to a session of board gaming. Very easy to learn, fun and tense my teenagers and my partner all love this game as much as I.

I have played this game with 2 of my grandchildren and they really enjoy it . Therefore I purchased it for another grandchild and have yet to find out how he likes it as due to Covid I am not in a position to have direct contact so will look forward to playing the game with him when possible.

Bought for my nieces and they loved it, a lot of fun. Instructions seem a little over complicated so first set up and play took us a while but subsequent plays are quick to set up and play.

Great game, simple to learn and fun for all ages and abilities. There is some strategy to it but also a lot of luck, always results in a lot of smiles and laughs when playing! Components are really well made, everyone loves the pop-up board when they see it for the first time.

It’s fun! You can never guarantee what’s gonna happen, you might win by betting on a loser. It goes up to 8 players which is a bonus.

I also like that there’s no text, so you can play it with your non English speaking friends and family!

A bit pricey but the pyramid dice contraption is pretty cool, and it’s a big pop up board.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis game was an instant hint with my kids and my extended family. Even the most grumpy of teens can’t fail to smile when you see a stack of Camels running the wrong way around the race track and scuppering dads big betting scheme. It’s simple to learn, very well presented and there is a delightful oooh moment when you open the board for the first time… you’ll see no spoilers here.

I absolutely love this game. Played with all adults aged 30 and above and it kept us entertained all over Christmas. It can be so difficult to guess which camel is going to be first and last and no two games are alike. Would definitely recommend this. Great fu
