A very brief read of the instructions this item is so simple to use and a brilliant resul
Used this a few times since purchase. Well worth the money and I will definitely be using for plenty more projects!
Watched a video on You Tube about a guy that bought one in Canada and did a video on the same Model I bought in the UK. It works a treat.
I think 1 improvement that can be made is the cutters… They won’t last as long as all the repair wires given… For once something works like it says..
Would recommend this product 100%.Did not take pictures or a Video as I was in a rush to complete the Job. Even had to do a repair on the attachment areas of the bumper where they clip in.. this was totally broken off and post welding it fitted perfectly…
Great piece of kit broke plastics on mx bike fixed them wi this
Snapped fridge shelf in my motorhome and couldt source a replacement did a fab job of fixing it fridge holds beer again. Very easy to use and surprising quick to heat up.
Used for repairing bumper. Staples get hot pretty quick which is good enough to melt plastic.
Very easy to use and handle. Would recommend. Very durable!
Great kit, easy to use and does the job. Used to reattach the handle on my saw and its solid! Loads of different welding pieces.
Had a broken fan base on an air conditioner, lot of broken plastic parts, was going to try adding metal braces and use epoxy glue, but gave this a try, did an awesome job and came with a lot of clips, very happy with this item
Perfect for the plastic bumper repair which I purchased this kit for produced a repair that was so much stronger than specialised plastic adhesives. the staples were easy to apply and a lot less messy than glues and produce a really strong joint, a wipe of filler and some paint and the job will be complete. I suspect that this will end up being a much used tool in my family as it will cope with broken vacuum cleaners etc.
I was a little unsure if this would be worth it, i had tried to glue my kids slide with no luck as it was made out of hdpe plastic, but it was very quick to heat up the little stapes and get everything back together i guess it depends on what your trying to repair but it worked first time for me.
Does the job just right had a old yard brush with plastic bit and had snapped though I’d try this as brought 1 for garage and thought give it ago and has done the job just right lol so easy to use
How have I not found this before? Fixed interior trim in my car a treat. More practise needed to be perfect, however not going to break anything just to practise
This tool I brought to keep handy and boy it’s definitely been handy.
Fixed headlight brackets on the car, fixed sheeted plastic roof for my garden storage box (sealed with mastic on inside)
Although supposedly a branded item, a generic product turned up. I could have undercut the price by quite a large margin had I have known. Additionally, the photo of the kit depicts a knife along with the other bits and bobs and the plastic cast has provision for one but no knife came with the kit. As it is a simple slide, snap off, bladed craft knife, it is not worth the trouble of sending it back so I’ll have to do without, or buy one myself! I have yet to use the tool but I plugged it in, inserted a staple and it got nice and hot since it looks ok. The only other thing I’d worry about is that the staples fall out it’ll you point the gun down. I suppose you could slightly flex each staple open a little, to creat tension but I thought they would be either tighter fitting or magnetic or something. You don’t want to keep dropping the staples every time you lower your arm!
Easy to use, worked well on repairing centre console on my classic ca
Didnt expect it to work but it does. Got lots and lots of those staple things also. One thing I wish I knew before is be careful not to use too much pressure else you can be a hole in the plactic thing you are fixing. Also, when you finished putting the staple in, hold it there and blow on it until it cools down, and only then remove the gun.
One thing I dont get is the position of the light. Shines absolutely no where near the area you are working on. But thats not a train smash.
Product works well no issues so far . Bit disappointed with the case though bit thin and cheap I suppose you expect it fir the price of the uni
My wife had the misfortune of breaking off a rather expensive and elusive trim panel on her car, the price of these parts secondhand is astronomical so I’ve managed to repair the part bonding it back together, as I spray for a living I’m able to make good the surface so you can’t see the break, as the fibreglass resin isn’t a great bond on these abs moulded parts and the MEK solvent takes to long to set up so a heat bond as this provides is a better option especially with the metal wire being left embedded in the plastic it has greater strength, the panel once welded back together moves as the original panel does. You need to use numerous of the staples to create a positive bond and this intern creates the join position these in an area that remains unseen ok
