Bought as didn’t have enough room in the car for a larger firepit. It comes in a really small zipped bag, size of a small flask. Easy to assemble and quite sturdy once built (clips that hold the mesh base on are a bit fiddly). Using it we had the best camp fires we have ever managed to have, think because air can flow all round it helped them get going. We bought the heat resistant blanket with it to avoid scorching the ground, but to be honest not that much heat went down. Also didn’t get left with a load of ash in the bottom, think it must blow off. Really recommend for people with limited space. Usually hiring fire pits on camp sites cost way more than this, so its paid for itself already
This is brilliant. Bought 2 this time as we lent one to fellow campers and they didn’t return it
Camp site owners allowed us to use this to have a bbq
Great firepit. Clean burning with no smoke (dry wood) Stand keeps fire high enough off ground so grass doesn’t get scorched.
Design/manufacture defect – the bolts are too short so don’t engage with the locking plastic on the lock nut. They unscrew and two have been lost in the grass. Please can I have 4 bolts about 4 to 5mm longer and 4 new nuts. Bought two firepits both had same problem
Bought this to take camping with my van, campsite said had to have a mat on the floor underneath the fire pit so don’t scorch the grass. This was a perfect combination, we got the large on but didn’t need it and packs up so small
Not used yet, but the portability with case looks ideal. The heat mat is very flimsy and unlikely to offer much protection for long. Easy enough to assemble although not keen on the clips as potential for them to get lost. Overall though I think good value for money and good back up for more substantial fire pit.
This little fire pit, is perfect to take camping, wild camping or if I want to chill by the lake after paddleboarding. It is easy to set up, the fireproof mat gives peace of mind that you aren’t scorching the ground. It assembles easily and packs away into a small pouch, lightweight and easy to carry, washes off nicely. Perfect addition to any kit 100% recommend.
For the price, I can’t complain, however some small tweaks and it would be brilliant.
Likes: it’s super compact, easy to put together, easy to clean and comes with a heat proof mat to protect the surface below. Our first fire using just kindling was lovely and easy to clean up after.
Dislikes: the method of attaching the gauze could be better, it feels a bit flimsy. The heat proof mat is very thin and after only one use has small fold holes, I really don’t think it will last long so I’m already looking for a better replacement.
I was very skeptical about these so watched a few videos and decided to give it a whirl. I’m well impressed. It’s ace. Literally leaves nothing left over. It burns the lot because of the air flow
I bought this item and it did incur some damage after first use, however, the seller replaced the unit for me with hassle at all I believe this was a one off and the replacement arrived very quickly.
Such a fab bit of kit. Easy and quick to assemble – surprisingly robust and allows for lovely fire. Packs back down easily. So compact. We get lots of interest in it on campsites.
Purchased this fire for use when away camping and just having a trial run in our postage stamp-sized garden.
There are no instructions and suggest you view the numerous videos available online.
The awkward bit is getting the legs to sit in position correctly. Can’t explain how to do it but once you know, you know.
Impressive piece of kit and recommend getting the larger fire as it comes with an essential protective blanket on which the fire sits.
Great value for money!
We bough this to use with our camper van. Neatly packed away in a small bag, it doesn’t take up much room. We use ours with fire logs, such as duraflame (as they too take up little room and have no mess). One log lasts for a few hours, which is just perfect with the fold a way fire pit when camping.
I have been considering this type of fire pit for a while but had been a bit overwhelmed with the different options and if I’m honest, they seemed a bit too good to be true!
So glad we went for this slightly larger model. It was burning for about 5 hours last night and at any one time had 4 x 30cm hardwood logs on board.
The height makes it perfect to sit around as the heat radiates at the right height.
Arrived sooner than advertised, easy to erect. Simple design and sturdy.
All the parts are made in stainless steel from what I can see and weirdly, even when the fire is going you can lift the mesh the fire is burning on without burning your fingers!
Very little residue in the morning and this was flapped about a bit and it’s good to go again!
Not sure how long the bag will last, but it all packed away neatly inside easy enough.
This is going to be a permanent fixture in our beach hut now and I plan to buy some for my more adventurous friends as Xmas gifts!
Amazed ..delivered within 14 hrs of ordering!!
pretty sturdy especially with fuel on it.
Assembly, just get the cross pieces the correct way first then it’s simple.
Pretty smoke free in operation.
Packs away MUCH easier than I thought.
Almost impressed!
Great fire pit folding to a fantastically small package. Chose this because it was a bigger unit and we use the fire blanket as a base so the grass doesn’t get damaged. Used twice over the weekend camping and just had to rinse it off to put it away.
Only small issue is the legs can fall off when moving it around but it’s easily fixed.
