Well worth the premium.
Metric only on both sides, much more solid than any square I had before, almost no play in the rail.
The complaints about the finish other users have is due to the fact that the handle is machine rectified to near absolute precision.
This is as good as it gets.
Purchased to fit hinges and catches to new oak doors. Very pleased with the products well built and good sizes. They have become my favourite tool.
High quality, I use it all the time they are so accurate and convenient to use. Very handy on my projects and makes the cut marking an easy task, no issues.
They are a nice pair of squares. The only thing is they only show metric and not imperial too. Besides that they a re well made and I would recommend.
I’m not building 14 metre long cabinets, in fact I don’t need the tool to be 100% accurate. For the occasional shelf or cutting some other bit of wood these two combination squares are totally fine. I’m not saying they are not square, I just can’t be bothered and try to proof how good I’m in confirming angles by 0.00001.
hese square fell very robust and secure in your hand; it’s really a pleasure to use them.
I find myself using the 150mm one almost the whole time.
I’ve dropped 1 star on the accuracy because when I received it I found that the 300mm square was not accurate.
I contacted the customer service and they offered and executed a solution in no time.
I have not checked the accuracy of the spirit level because it’s a feature I do not use, but I’m very please with how the squares perform and hold the settings.
I would definitely consider Presch as brand for other tools.
Sturdy peice of kit. engraved and painted numbers. Very happy with this and use the small one every day and it can fit in your pocket.
Never really saw the need for a combination square until I set about fixing door hardware, tubular latches etc. What a Godsend this tool has been. Precision guaranteed with this bad boy. Used it for loads more applications for my DIY hobby and am now thinking of getting the bigger version as well. Would highly recommend.
Like these much better than Bahco ones as these are metric only. Slightly out of square, but a couple of minutes with a needle file, and they were perfectly square. Finish was alright, but needed a bit of polishing, having said that, still better than Bahco ones I had.
These looked quality and I was not disappointed when they arrived next day. There are cheaper but the cast and movement on these are second to none. Need professional squares , look no further.
when it arrived it did not look “square” when tried and then I took more time to check it out, it is not perfectly square!
It is only 0.2mm out over 300mm so for my use it is OK, but could be a lot better and for the cost it should be perfect.
If you need this for anything that must be perfectly square then choose another, as for me and timber it’s OK and I have a really square one I can also use.
Never will trust an adjustable square.
This is a well-made tool that’s a pleasure to use. It has a much more professional feel to it than other combination squares I’ve had. The fact that the rule has a centimeter/millimeter scale on both sides (rather than centimetres and inches on opposite sides) makes it much easier to use.
Didn’t have any of the issues the other people have had with these.
They’re sturdy and fit for purpose.
I do find they came a little loose but cranking the pin properly finger tight holds them solid.
This arrived in a nice box – If you care about that kind of thing. It feels super solid and I can imagine it remaining so for years.
Weighty feel, and a smooth slide and secure lock actions.
I picked this one as it was all metric – my last Draper equivalent I inherited from my father was all imperial, which I just don’t understand! Not disappointed in the premium quality – worth the small additional cost to other models on Amazon.
