This YoYo will make a great gift for a kid or a beginner.
It is durable and sturdy and will make you show all kinds of tricks in no time.
This product is value for money and I gladly recommend it to you.
Great stocking filler or birthday gift. Definitely different from yoyo’s when I was a kid. Very sleek and gorgeous to look at. It has so many strings to change it up. I can see some videos being watched to learn tricks in my future. I’m hoping it will be a good idea and not cause any damage.
Great quality and I’m looking forward to seeing the results.
I was a fairly decent yo-yo’er in my youth, at least I thought I was, so I was looking forward to showing my kids all the cool tricks I could do with this yo-yo… Oh how wrong I was. In the twenty or so years since I last picked up a yo-yo it’s fair to say I’ve forgotten how to use one. It was a disaster with me almost knocking one of my daughter’s teeth out! None of this, however, was the yo-yo’s fault. This yo-yo is extremely well made and durable and fingers with spare strings and even spare bearings. There is also a leaflet explaining the basics of yo-yo use, which was useful for me. I’ve really enjoyed practising with the yo-yo and I’m sure I will be amazing my kids with some mad skills any day now!
I do recommend reading the instruction before first set up and usage though since it wasn’t entirely obvious stringing it.
This yoyo feels good in hand, and once set up, it was good to use whilst not feeling either too light nor too heavy.
The yo-yo itself seems to be a great quality for the price and it’s been a lot of fun already.
Pros:-
-Really good quality product
-Comes with a lovely carry case so you don’t lose any of the bits
-Has a variety of different colour strings for you to use and change
-Easy to set up and play with
-Easy to change the strings
-Would recommend
-Reasonably priced product for what you get
Cons:-
-The instructions are just for how to play with the yoyo not how to put it together
I hope you find this review helpful
This yoyo was packaged really nicely, and looks great. I love the colours which match the picture. My brother and I played with it quite a bit and we were able to manage rock the baby which brought up memories from when we were kids.
Our resident yoyo-er is enjoying this product a lot. It comes with a lot of extra strings in different colours, some instructions, two different bearing mechanisms with a little tool to use to swap them over, and a great zip up carry pouch to store it all neatly. The yoyo itself is great.
It came with the responsive bearing installed so our yoyo maestro quickly wanted to change it for the other one for a first try out with an unresponsive yoyo. The job of changing the mechanism held their interest in itself.
It took quite a while before the yoyo could be made to return to the hand, instead spinning for ages at the bottom of the release. The key turned out to be to have the yoyo rotate the opposite way then it would return. Challenge enjoyed and overcome!
Great yoyo if you’re looking for a next level yoyo, or a normal responsive yoyo that can be updated later on.
This is a really nice yoyo, it’s packaged nicely, and uses really nicely finished components. The yoyo comes in a colourful box with all the parts in a nice zipped holder keeping them together. The yoyo comes with two bearings that you can swap out to make it responsive/unresponsive. I’ve attached a photo with the yoyo split apart showing the bearing. The yoyo comes with many coloured strings and good instructions telling you how to set it up and swap the bearings.
In these days of computer games & virtual reality its really nice to have a practical toy/gane/activity. And it’s really nice to have something well thought out and well put together, and this yoyo is just that – it is super.
The truth is I am not very good with it yet, but that is what practice is for, and this will keep me out of mischief 🙂

Wow. I love this yo-yo! It looks amazing & feels amazing to use. My son has been dabbling with yo-yos for the past few months and, I have to admit, I’ve been buying him cheap ones from ‘pound-shop’ establishments. Consequently we’re on pound-shop yo-yo number 3. If I can give you any advice it would be to just spend a few quid more & buy this one!
This yo-yo is really cool looking, works really smoothly and comes with a whole array of accessories. The zip case is a great inclusion, allowing the yo-yo to be transported without getting the string in a tangle. There are also a dozen spare strings, in different colours.
The professional side of this yo-yo is the fact you can switch the central bearings between ‘responsive’ (the yo-yo comes back to you) & ‘non-responsive’ which means you can do more complex tricks.
I’ve only tried the yo-yo in the responsive mode and can attest that it’s the smoothest yo-yo I’ve ever used. My son has already leapt in & swapped the bearings, but has yet to master any other tricks, much to his frustration!
Brilliant set, great value for money, would make a great stocking filler.
I’ve not tried using a non-responsive yo-yo before, so I don’t have anything to compare this to and I didn’t really know what I was doing with it, but, as far as I can tell, this is a very good yo-yo.
I like that it comes with a case and lots of spare springs and all the accessories you need to swap it between the two yo-yo functions. I was able to change it over without any trouble.
I think this would make a great gift for a pre-teen/young teen. There’s lot of scope for playing with it from its basic yo-yo function to mastering more complicated skills.
Feeling somewhat nostalgic to relive the Yoyo craze of the late eighties, where soft drink-emblazoned yoyos were in everyone’s pockets and the whole world seemed to be ‘walking the dog’, I was excited to open the colourful packaging and try (and probably fail) to perform some of the old tricks. The yo yo comes with full instructions, a sturdy carry case, a range of twelve multi-colour strings and some extra axle mechanism I have yet to explore (decided to go Old School direct from the box)
The main body of the yoyo has an attractive yellow/green colouration (particularly for those of us living the Norwich, UK area) and sturdy construction – doesn’t feel flimsy like other yoyos I’ve had over the years. The string is easily attached, allowing use within seconds. The rise and fall action is smooth, with a good weight to the yoyo body. It tends to spin a little too readily at the bottom of the throw for my liking, but I think that might be alleviated through experimenting with the tightness of the bottom loop which attaches to the axle, as well as practise on my part. I found the yoyo reasonably comfortable to catch on its upwards trajectory, but my ten year old child said they found catching it difficult due to the shape not being as ergonomic for the smaller hand. It would take some getting used to.
All in all, I’m very pleased with the design, construction and action thus far, with just small doubts about the yoyo’s suitability for those with smaller hands and fingers.
My children have largely been disappointed with YoYos – usually because after the initial excitement the quality of the YoYo makes it difficult to use continuously.
I was curious as to what made this professional, as the item description states – but the moment I had it in my hands I could easily see. It’s well weighted, well constructed and the addition of differing ballbarings really helps to dial more skills.
Just a few days in and the children are really enjoying this YoYo far more than others in the past, and have already scoured youtube for hints on skills and tricks. A very recommended purchase.
This is a cool looking yo yo and is the only one I have had that has it’s own zip up carrying case!
It comes with a bag of different coloured strings if white is too boring for you!
Now, I didn’t know that there are two types of yo yo: responsive and unresponsive. Basically a responsive one comes back to you hand when you flick it (once you have got the hang of it!) and is what I would call your standard yo yo that people are familiar with. The unresponsie kind has different bearings in the centre and to get it to return to your hand you need to learn a whole new trick!
The very cool thing about this one is that it is responsive when you get it but there is a bearing, axle and tools supplied so that you can change it to unresponsive! Very neat.
All in all I can’t fault it. My ten-year-old son is part enjoying it/part hating it, but that is no fault of the yo yo, rather that he is a ten-year-old with little patience!!
This Yoyo is great for both adults and Children, you get 12 strings of varying colours, you also get a spare bearing and bearing remover tool, there is some assembly required but only the string.
Works as intended, just follow the instructions to set the string length and you’re good to go.
Overall a great little product.
I am absolutely delighted with this yoyo kit I got for my daughter. She’s just started her yoyo journey, and this one has proven to be an excellent choice for beginners. The yoyo itself is of good quality and perfect for someone who’s just trying out yoyos and practicing new skills.
Learning with this yoyo has not been difficult for my daughter. It’s easy to pick up and allows her to practice various techniques. In just a week, she has already learned a handful of tricks
The kit includes spare strings in various colors, which is a fantastic bonus in case any strings get overly tangled or worn-out during practice sessions.
The yoyo itself not only performs well but also looks great. The addition of a carry case and spare strings in different colors is a thoughtful touch as can be seen from my photos. It’s handy for keeping the yoyo safe and organized when not in use.
Considering the price, this yoyo kit is a great deal and would definitely make a great Christmas present. It’s an excellent choice not only for beginners but also for professionals. I highly recommend this kit to anyone keen on learning and mastering yoyo skills.
I gave this to the ‘expert’ in my house to review – my 13 year old son – and it received a huge thumbs up and kept him busy all Sunday afternoon (and off his gaming device !). As you can see from the photo, this yoyo is really nicely presented and would make a great gift, the box includes a zipped, good quality yoyo case, different coloured spare strings, tools and instructions on how to change it from unresponsive/responsive and general instructions – along with a nicely made yoyo. The instructions were clear enough for my son (on his own) to be able to make it ‘unresponsive’ once he’d got the hang of it in the beginner mode and he also happily restrung it a couple of times to change the colour of the string. All in all a super item, really well made and presented and a huge hit for ‘kids’ of all ages I’m sure. Top 5 Stars without a doubt.
UPDATE: this is still proving a massive hit and a new hobby – cannot recommend this highly enough as a super gift …. it’s really captured my sons imagination and he’s enjoying learning new tricks and skills.
Okay, I might have ordered this yoyo for myself. I’ve not played with one in years so I figured I’d have a go and see if I could remember any of my old tricks. I used to know around the world, walk the dog…okay, I knew two tricks. But can I do them with this yoyo? As the video hopefully displays, yes I can. Okay, I didn’t walk the dog along the ground so I didn’t scratch it to pieces.
The yoyo arrives in a case with twelve strings, and you’ll have to install one of these strings yourself, so it’s not ready to use right away. The strings are also really long. You will definitely need to shorted the string before a child can play with it. I’m 5’10 (178cm) and I had to cut the string shorter so I could use it. There is a great set of instructions explaining how to do this, as well as how to start playing with it on the other side.
The yoyo comes set up as a responsive yoyo, which means that when it is spinning at the end of the string, a gentle pull will bring it back up (see my video). The yoyo comes with spare ball bearings which you can swap in to make the yoyo unresponsive (won’t come back up with a gentle pull). This is for more advanced users (not me!)
The yoyo also comes with a protective case, inside which is a webbing pocket to store the spare strings. I’m not quite sure why you’d need eleven spare strings for a yoyo but then again, I’ve never been much of a yoyoer (yoyoist?) before. Apparently there are apps you can download to help you learn and check off tricks as you learn them so I might go looking for that now.
It comes in a nice box with lots of detailed instructions, i was quite impressed. The hardcase it has is nice and even has a ton of spare strings, it doesnt feel cheap, has a decent weight behind it. Its not a super professional one, but better than those cheap plasticy ones kids seem to get with no heft behind them.
This yo-yo comes in a case with 12 replacement strings and a replacement bearing. I’ve always loved yo-yos but most of the ones I get are cheaply made and don’t last long but this one feels much better quality. I’ve kept the bearing that was on the yo-yo and I’ve had fun doing some of the tricks I remember when I was a kid. The other bearing is a “professional” bearing that doesn’t let the yo-yo come back to your hand quite so easily. I haven’t mastered that yet, but I’m going to continue to try.
When functioning as a responsive (more traditional) yo-yo, you have a decent and pretty sophisticated product. This yoyo manages to add a considerable amount of value to that by being easily convertible to the non-responsive type of yo-yo needed for some of the most advanced tricks.
Simply unscrew one half from the other, and you get to see the axle and bearing-cuff. The allen key provided easily removed the axle from the yoyo-half it remains in; and a partnered tool easily pops out the bearing-cuff. After that, it is trivially easy to slip the new wider axle, slip the wider (non-responsive) bearing-cuff over the top, and screw the two halves back together.
It is that easy to swap the yo-yo between responsive and non-responsive; and the (decent quality) case that comes with the yo-yo has a pouch that easily fits the tools and spare axle / bearings ready for you to convert it back-and-forth at a future date.
Worth noting that the bearings require a little spray of WD-40 or application of oil / grease.
The case is nice and sturdy – although the pocket for storing spare strings / mechanism-swapping tools and components is just a string-lined one. The contents would easily slip through the holes if you don’t retain them in the plastic baggy they ship in. Ideally you’d find a tiny zip-lock baggy to keep them in within that pouch.
The strings are a bit disappointing – I found they were very prone to twisting, snagging, and fouling – the yoyo quickly went off-balance when in non-responsive configuration thanks to how thin the strings were where they look around the axle.
I suspect this issue would resolve itself eventually after extended use and wearing them in. There’s a selection of them in different colours – enough that you could easily customise their lengths for a growing kid and still have a few spare by the time they’re at full height. Ditto for switching out strings of different lengths for different users – although the process could prove simply too fiddly to do that routinely.
Ultimately this is a tolerable product for any beginner who is expected to move on to intermediate and advanced level and thus perform tricks which require conversion to a non-responsive yo-yo.
The downsides are that the instructions are in rather stilted English, with illustrations that aren’t particularly helpful. They’re not innaccurate or anything, but they don’t lend themselves to intuitive application – they seem to know this, as they advise you to look on YouTube for explanatory videos.
Which is a shame, as following these instructions is somewhat necessary for customising the yo-yo, for adding the strings and adjusting their lengths properly; as well as for learning the “bind” technique for returning the non-responsive type yo-yo.
The yoyo comes in a nice packaged product that includes the yoyo itself, 12 strings of various colours, a bearing removal tool, an Allen key and a replacement bearing, all enclosed within a nice yoyo case.
The yoyo itself is of a good size a good quality and weight, feels durable and the provided strings are also of a good length. The yoyo is suitable for slightly older children. My 6 year old enjoys it however my 9 year old enjoys it more thoroughly and is experimenting with it a lot more than my 6 year old. I think it will also be good for a teen. There’s an instructional manual provided which has good instructions.
Overall a good yoyo that is simple to use and comes in a neat package and is great fun. Highly Recommended!
Picked up this Yo-Yo because I had one when i was younger. This is probably the best yoyo i’ve ever owned it came with multiple string replacements and even an extremely high quality case. I would highly recommend this Yo-Yo
Great Yo Yo to up your Yo Yo game its fun and is very versatile to play everyday.
This yoyo is made from a durable plastic, making it ideal for kids who are just beginning to learn the basics of yoyo tricks as well as for more advanced players.
I’ve had the yoyo for a few months now and I can honestly say it’s been great. It’s responsive, so it’s easy to control and the tricks I can do with it are amazing. The yoyo comes with a ball bearing, allowing it to be unresponsive when needed, making it perfect for more advanced yoyo tricks. Additionally, it comes with a removal tool and five strings, so you can quickly replace or adjust the strings when necessary.
The yoyo is also incredibly durable and has held up to everything I’ve thrown at it. I love the bright red color and the smooth finish, making it look great and feel great in my hand. The yoyo also comes with a bag, making it easy to take along with you wherever you go.
Recommended!
My daughter (22) sometimes takes it to practice some advanced tricks. So works for both! Brilliant but! Definitely recommend it!
Comes with extra strings, and a few spare parts, lovely case, well presented.
Really great quality yoyo, haven’t used them for years but it comes back to you, nice and heavy and looks really cool, comes with a case and a bunch of different colour strings to customise it, really fu
It’s perfect for an older child that already has some experience. It comes with many different strings and an extra bearing. The instructions are very helpful and show you everything you need to do to set it up. It also comes with a small case to carry it around in. I would definitely recommend it.
Yoyo is having a bit of a mini craze revival at my daughter’s school. And as with all school playground crazes, having some impressive kit is half the battle. So shes delighted with this, it really looks the part and its easier to use than the cheap one she had before. She has finally managed to complete some tricks with this as its is better balanced and keeps it spin for longer. And it looks great. DId I mention the pro level looks… haha… so important for kids.
Loads of fun from this yoyo. The red color is and the fact that it comes with loads of spare strings and bits is a . It feels like a professional level yo-yo and I’ve been having loads of fun with it.
One small downside is that I have to thread the string myself, but it’s not too difficult. Also the string is a bit long for smaller kids to use, so keep that in mind. Overall, a great yoyo to start a new yoyo hobby.
Abit more advanced for beginners, comes with differents washers to make it non returning which is good for different tricks. Overall the gift was enjoyable on Christmas day. Would recommend.
This is a very good introducing to advanced yoyoing (is that a word) . It’s well built, well balanced and cheap enough to replace if you lose control of it and it gets run over by a car. Yes this did happen to me once. It comes with a selection of strings, two bearings (one already fitted) plus fitting tools and a guide for replacement, a carrying bag and an instruction pamphlet to get you set up and started. I’m determined to master this yoyo if it takes me the rest of my life.
The gonk beaker is not included.
Normal when I’m buying yoyo I’m getting ready to use after unpacking. These one I need to read the tiny print on instruction to build it by my own. I managed to do it but if I was kid It would be more challenging. Yoyo by itself work well, especially unresponsive one, I make some dig on yt to find beginners steps how to manage it to take it back and some few other tricks. I’m giving strong 4 for it, if instruction would be more visible and yoyo would come already build in then it would be 5. Beginner or child could use it straight after box, advanced know what to do so could make as it want to.
Priced at 12.99 (with 5% voucher) at the time of this Amazon Vine review is fairly reasonable for this professional plastic yoyo with accessories. The yoyo arrives in a compact and attractive cardboard box which is suitable for gifting.
Inside the box is one crystal purple plastic yoyo, five stings (various colours), yoyo bag, bearing removal tool and one KK bearing (unresponsive bearing).
The yoyo is very solid, with a good weight, and is smooth and appears well made. The strings are probably a cotton mix, but they look cotton, which has been used as the string of the yoyo for years, which is a nice traditional touch.
Overall, a very nice yoyo and an ideal for a young person or adult who are looking to learn tricks. I always suggest a child start with a wooden yoyo and get used to standard yoyoing and basic tricks before they buy a plastic or metal yoyo meant for more elaborate tricks. This yoyo, considering its accessories, would work as an intermediate yoyo for an older child, teen or adult; it is not a beginner’s yoyo in my opinion.
There is an instruction manual which shows and explains how to work out the length of the string you need, how to tie a knot for your finger and how to attach the string to the yoyo and wind up your string. It then has a section on how to do some yoyo moves.
I am pleased with this product and am happy to recommend at the current price point. This would make a nice small gift for an older child, a teen or an adult who has already mastered basic yoyoing and is ready to move on to more intermediate skills.
This yo-yo is very well made and does definitely feel like a quality item. It’s heavy enough to get a good downward rotational flick but not too heavy to cause damage to your child in the event of a backward rotational misshap!
It’s not like the yo-yo’s of old that flopped about out of control and got tangled up in knots, its a professional yo-yo but that is a good thing as it does allow you to get some great spins and you can do this consistently with only minimal practice.
The purple, transparent plastic looks impressive and futuristic. If you’re keen to learn how to yo-yo or if you’re wish is to progress to achieving some new yo-yo tricks then this item is certainly the thing for you.
The seller recommends that: This product is subject to specific additional safety warnings!
“Warning: Not suitable for children under 8 years and for use under adult supervision. Warning: Strangulation hazard”. I don’t agree with the statement that this yo-yo isn’t suitable for children under the age of 8! My child is 5 and she’s a clever person. She was fine with this yo-yo. The warning about ‘strangulation hazard’ is an excellent statement and very responsible from the manufacturer, I like this. This warning alone makes me happy that the manufacturer/seller is responsible.
The items supplied with this yo-yo are correct as stated by the seller so I won’t bore you with what you get in the box.
You simply unscrew the yo-yo hemispheres by twisting anti-clockwise. You add the ‘loop’ of the string and retifhten. Dead simple! Your spare baring has a clutch. This allows you to ‘stall’ the yo-yo in mid flight. Its used to perform yo-yo tricks. It does work well but definitely requires some practice.
I like it! It’s robust and accurately manufactured. If you want a decent yo-yo then this is your thing, plus the price is definitely in the correct price bracket for an item that will do exactly as it says on the tin!
