Despite very little use, maybe twice only the alarm has failed, doesn’t sound despite replacing batteries with new ones and ensuring the correct polarity. The lock as a visual deterrent is okay. New biking season now (2024) bought it last year (May 2023). Contacted the supplier. Excellent customer service. Although beyond the 12 month guarantee period (just) they replaced it without any quibbles. Superb customer services.
It is easy to use and extremely strong. The alarm is very loud and also motion activated. I couldn’t fail to hear it even asleep. It’s very portable. Would fit in. Big picked. I put it in the top of my Bergen with pens notebook etc so it’s easily accessible.
Bought this for my cousin who had his lasts motorbike stolen. Obviously it was insured and replaced, but that wasn’t the point. It was his pride and joy and he was absolutely devastated that it had been taken, despite the fact he had a lock (which was cut clean off and his bike was caught on ring camera being lifted into a van!). I was hesitant to review this item because it’s hard to know actually how good it is until it’s ‘needed’, but last night this was the case. Some low-lives came and tried to do the same thing to his new bike, but after just seconds of touching it the alarm blared out and he was downstairs and outside calling the police and off they went! He is so delighted with this alarm and is so thankful that it meant his new bike didn’t go the same way as his last. It’s sat out it the wind and the rain with clearly no impact on its performance. He said it’s a great size and weight to allow him to carry it around with him and he thinks it looks slick and is so easy to use. A win for this purchase
The lock is strong and the alarm very loud. No lock will defeat a determined thief but this lock should certainly deter them it comes with a bag which can attach to the frame with Velcro straps and a reminder lanyard . Good value for money
I used it to lock my motorbike, I jostled my bike to find if it worked or not and it definitely did. The loudest most ear piercing noise ever… It did extremely well.
Loud disc lock with spare battery’s which is always handy. Easy to use and quite sturdy.
Great price would deffo recommend as an extra bit of security on the bike.
I bought this as an additional anti-theft deterrent because it has an alarm and added another layer to the Abus Sledg 77 I also purchased on the same order. For the price, it’s a good little lock that will definitely draw attention to anyone messing with the bike while they are trying to deal with both locks. The alarm is astonishingly loud and fitting it to any part of the disc is quite easy to do. I did consider buying two because they are well priced, but eventually settled upon just the one added to something well sold secure rated that would likely take more time to defeat.
Seems to be well made, comes with a sturdy carry pouch and coiled reminder cable and hopefully, will do the job.
Absolutely love this little alarm. It fits perfectly through the wheel disk holes and is so easy to set on and turn off.
It’s very loud but also makes it impossible to turn the front wheel (push the bike).
Supplied with a handy carry pouch and a long flexible cable to show your bike is alarmed.
It’s compact, light and does the job.
Bought a expensive e bike.
Needed a good lock and this fits the bill, no probs.
It works really well and is so easy to store on the move. Well worth the money for that extra security.
Fantastic product. Fantastic seller. Highly highly recommend. My motorbike is locked up in a safe place anyway, but I put this on and also chain my motorbike. The alarm is great. Loud. Is still going and I’ve been using it for months and months and months. I’m partially deaf in both ears too, and I can hear it. It’s not going to alert a town centre, mind. However, anyone within 30 metres is going to hear this alarm and be alerted. It’s a great sounding ‘alert’ alarm too. So easy to fit. So easy to work and remove. Very very pleased with this. Thank you so much 🙂
I will say it is loud, however I didn’t check the measurements of the pin beforehand and as such the 7mm pin doesn’t fit in the holes of my gsxr125 brake disc so will be returning
Time willtell ,good lookking deterent ,
Noise level could be increased
I haven’t dropped it leading to it breaking. The key hasn’t got stuck. It won’t stop my bike getting nicked by a determined thief but it’s a good deterrent, really loud and everything I expected it to be. Nice little gadget.
Excellent quality just what I needed and cheaper than most I shopped around fo
High sound, locks good but pin is lightly large so it takes a few goes to find a hole in the disc to lock on to
The lock itself is reasonable for the price but it is not possible to get replacement keys from the manufacturer (emailed and told me each lock barrel is unique) and high street key cutting shops cannot cut a new key. Manufacturer could not even send a blank template to work with. Having lost one of the keys I am down to a single key so the customer service team have agreed to replace the lock which is much appreciated.
Small compact easy to use. Probably be better if the alarm was a little louder but then it is battery operated. I’m pleased with the item
Worked great for the first few days, but after 1 day of rain it stopped working (no more alarms). When opened, there was water inside which likely damaged the components. Changing to the spare battery did not help. I did think the product was great, but for it to die after 1 instance of rain when advertised as “highly sealed for use in rain…” is very disappointing.
Edit: Increased rating as a free working replacement was sent to me by customer service.
Good budget alarm but not long term security if a theif has ever come across these then they will no to undo the screws and take the battery’s out to disable it buy one that is rechargeable and no way to get into it to disable it..
I bought this and a motion alarm to add to my bike security after being followed home.
I thought I’d lost them but they spotted me in my bike gear closing the gates and sure enough a couple of days later they come for my bike!
It’s was 2am and between the 2 alarms it woke me in time to chase the thieves off before causing any damage to my bike and only lost the padlock to the garage!
It’s not a very loud alarm and I wouldn’t rely on it waking you up if stored far from your house but fortunately for me mine is stored vert close to my house.
This lock definitely saved my bike and made me see the benefits of an alarm system so I’ll be adding a permanent one that alerts my phone very soon!
I can see this being a very good deterrent for anyone trying to steal it while parked up on a day out so I always take it with me to add to my stronger rated disc locks.
Only lasted about 2 months before we had to change the batteries. Stopped locking now….you get what you pay for I suppose
Quick addition to my review…
I’ve changed to 4 stars due to excellent customer service. I was offered a replacement product …. Unfortunately I already replaced the item so was offered a refund. Refunded very quickly. Thanks again for brilliant service.
After my original review Reap customer services got in touch with me and offered me a free new replacement to try. I accepted this offer and it was delivered a few days later. This new unit works perfectly at the moment and I intend to be a bit more careful in its orientation on the bike in wet weather. So far it’s working well but early days. Can’t fault the customer service which is rare in this day and age. Original review below
Bought this as a replacement for the same item that came originally with my son’s bike. The original 1 had no alarm sound even after changing the batteries so decided to buy a new 1. After only a few weeks of the wettest weather ( the bike lives outside 24/7) the new 1 fell silent. Changed the batteries and still no sound from the unit. My only conclusion is they are not waterproof and not suitable for living outside. Will buy a more expensive brand now.
Not sure if it’s actually waterproof as stated on the packaging. Worked great for a week or two but once it was locked both keys stopped working. Not sure if it’s just mine that’s faulty but really disappointed. Reached out to the company but heard nothing back.
UPDATE: Company reached out and offered apologies and sent out a new unit. Stated last lock probably suffered a manufacturing fault. New lock received and works perfectly. The company went above and beyond to sort the situation out and were very professional.
First alarm did not work well and i left a review to reflect that. The seller contacted me and offered a free replacement, which seems to work much better than the original one. I will wait and see if the same problem develops, but at the moment it’s a very good alarm.
I also use it as a shed alarm lock instead of a normal padlock. It slots through the doorbolt on my shed. It would be very hard to break in with one of these locking up your shed or gate, and it acts as a good deterrent as it clearly states it is alarmed. I think the manufacturer should sell these as shed locks as well as it is hard to find a decent alarmed shed lock available and i think something like this would be very popula
batteries that it came with have died, lasted for a good 8months or so, replaced the batteries with fresh ones last week, but now it goes off on its own without any movement. So will be buying an oxford boss, alright to use without the battery as a temp lock.
**Update**
The company has actually reached out to me via email after seeing my review on here, and have extended out and offered to send me a replacement for free, as they believe the unit may have been deffective. Ill pop the email on here to better explain and to praise/show how fantastic their customer service is.
Good morning, this is Alice from the REAPP After Sales Team. I am writing to you today mainly because you had some issues with our alarm disc brake locks on August 24th, we are sure there is something wrong with the product you received and we apologize for your bad experience.
Our brand has been selling on Amazon for almost half a year. All products exported to Amazon have undergone rigorous testing. We can guarantee that the sensitivity and vibration detection system of motorcycle disc locks are of high quality. We saw your comment, your product problem may be due to the short circuit of the internal circuit after long time use, so the alarm cannot be alarmed after changing the battery again. We have reported this incident to the R&D department, and the company takes this incident very seriously to ensure that it does not happen again in the future. Our REAPP after-sales team has good after-sales service and we have after-sales warranty.
We are a company that is very focused on customer experience. Recently, our company developed a high-sensitivity disc lock for motorcycles within 6 months. Due to your poor experience with motorcycle disc locks, we decided to send you a new model for free. We sincerely hope you can try again and you can send us your address and phone number for FBA shipping.
Please give us the opportunity to serve you better. We wish you all the best!
best wishes,
Alice.

Only right that i update the review as the company are rectifying the issue. Ill update in another 8months and see if alls good still
FINAL UPDATE: On 5th April I received a replacement lock from the company. This one works. It is very loud straight out of the box with the original batteries. Clearly the first one I received was faulty. It still works as a disc lock of course. The replacement one is what I expected in the first place. The sensitivity is about right and the alarm is piercing – you would not want to be in the same room as it! I think we got there in the end.
ANOTHER UPDATE: After adding the new batteries, I noticed a few days later that the alarm function has now failed completely. It still works as a normal disc lock but there is zero response from the alarm component of the lock. I think I am just about done with this thing!
UPDATE: Below is what I originally wrote. I take it back. I changed the batteries again (second time) for brand new ones and that made all the difference. Now the alarm is what it should be – uncomfortably loud when in the same room as your ears. I’ve got more confidence in it. The batteries I referred to originally came with the lock. It’s nice they provide two sets of batteries but I suppose if they’ve been on a shelf too long they are not good. I put in known new batteries. Better now
I upgraded my rating from 2 to 4 stars.
=========================
I suppose you get what you pay for. As a lock I suppose it’s fine. Or is it? You can dismantle it with an Allen key. Probably while it is still attached to the bike… The alarm is not 110db. It is so weak I changed the batteries thinking they were on the way out. It sounds exactly the same with new batteries. I honestly doubt this would wake me up. It certainly wouldn’t bother a bike thief, I reckon. I’m using it for now but I don’t like depending on it. I don’t recommend it at all
