Bought this again as I’d lost some of the pieces to the old one, for the price it works really well and comes with a lot of attachments. Definitely worth the price
Excellent set of clippers with a lot of attachments all colour coded. Wish there was something that explained what they all do because there is a green one with a flat edge that I’m not really sure about. The 2 black ones that are at an angle are for grading the side of your head and are great as this makes it so easy to do and makes the cut look more professional. Good quality at a good price these were a good buy.
Love the different head piece colours. Getting bored of bland colours. I always seem to lose black head clips in the dark. Trying to give myself a haircut in the dark too proves challenging.
Okay, so I don’t have much hair left but I’ve had this product quite awhile now [several years] and I’ve certainly had my monies worth from it. Run a number 6 over the entire head, then a number 4 round the sides and back. Finish off with the tapered cutters along the bottom edges all round and you’re done! So easy to use, a little awkward getting to hold it to do the back [but you find your way eventually] and around 20. If you just want a basic haircut and trim and want to save money, give this a go. One of the best things I’ve spent my money on ever.
I recently purchased the Remington HC5035 Corded Colour Cut Hair Clipper in White and Grey, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. As someone who prefers the convenience of at-home haircuts, I’ve tried various clippers over the years, but this one stands out for several reasons.
Firstly, the color-coded combs make it incredibly easy to choose the right length for different sections of my hair. No more fumbling around and second-guessing which comb to use! The intuitive design is perfect for both beginners and seasoned home barbers.
The corded feature ensures consistent and reliable power throughout the entire haircut, eliminating the frustration of a dwindling battery halfway through. The clipper’s performance is impressive, effortlessly gliding through my hair without any snagging or pulling.
The self-sharpening stainless steel blades are a game-changer, maintaining their sharpness over time and ensuring a precise cut with every use. I appreciate the durability of the materials used, making this clipper a long-lasting investment for anyone looking to maintain their hairstyle at home.
The sleek white and grey design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also easy to clean. The detachable blades make maintenance a breeze, and the included cleaning brush ensures that the clipper stays in top-notch condition.
In conclusion, the Remington HC5035 Corded Colour Cut Hair Clipper is a reliable, user-friendly, and efficient tool for DIY haircuts. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-timer, this clipper is a fantastic addition to your grooming arsenal. Say goodbye to salon trips and hello to professional-looking haircuts in the comfort of your own home! Highly recommended.
Clippers work well, but the comb gards could be better made, they are poor quality plastic compared to what I’ve had in the past, there is no storage case for them so I’ve used the one my old one came with
A nice hair clipper. Works well on African hair. Blades not zero gapped though so not ideal for detailing and carving. Either way, its a handy set of hair clippers to have. Does a great job and haven’t had any trouble with it!
The Remington HC5035 Corded Colour Cut Hair Clipper is a reliable and user-friendly tool for maintaining your hair at home. As someone who appreciates the convenience of DIY haircuts, I found this clipper to be a valuable addition to my grooming arsenal.
The standout feature of this hair clipper is its color-coded guide combs, which make it exceptionally beginner-friendly. Each comb is labeled with a specific color and length, eliminating the guesswork when selecting the desired hair length. This feature is incredibly handy for those who are new to cutting their own hair, ensuring a consistent and even result.
The clipper itself is lightweight and ergonomically designed, making it comfortable to hold and maneuver. The corded operation ensures a consistent power source, so you don’t have to worry about the battery running out mid-haircut.
The self-sharpening stainless steel blades are another advantage. They cut through hair smoothly and efficiently, reducing the need for multiple passes and minimizing the risk of pulling or snagging. The blades are easy to remove and clean, adding to the clipper’s overall maintenance convenience.
The clipper is versatile and suitable for various hair types and lengths. Whether you’re looking for a close buzz cut or prefer to leave some length, the guide combs provide a range of options to suit your style. The clipper’s performance is commendable, and it handles thick hair well.
One minor consideration is that the clipper is primarily designed for dry hair cutting. While it can be used on slightly damp hair, it may not perform as effectively as specialized wet clippers for those who prefer to cut their hair post-shower.
In summary, the Remington HC5035 Corded Colour Cut Hair Clipper is a user-friendly and efficient tool for DIY haircuts at home. Its color-coded guide combs simplify the haircutting process, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced users. The clipper’s lightweight design, corded operation, and self-sharpening blades offer convenience and reliability. While it may not be ideal for cutting wet hair, it excels in dry hair cutting. If you’re looking for an affordable and effective hair clipper for home grooming, this model from Remington is a solid choice that delivers consistent results and convenience.
Got them to cut my own hair went through my hair easy enough and was easy to handle only problem no oil for the clippers provided in mine so had to get some to oil blades before use
Bought to replace an old pair – these work well and do the job, need to be plugged in but that’s ok for what we need them for. My husband was pleased with his new haircut!
Easy to use – top monthly purchase
Would recommend the purchase as one hair cut pays for itself (worth a try just once)
Has a descriptive guide on ‘how to’, with the instructions but I generally did my own thing (went well but required someone to level out my neck line but two mirrors and a go with these was time well spent)
A friend doing it would be a lot faster and save all the head twisting trying to view front and back 🙂
I’ve gone with short ‘back and sides’ with a slightly longer length to around the top of the ears (I wasn’t ready to go shorter – after having grown attached to the chin length mop)
No funny looks from people I pass in the street, so all good
Bought these to replace clippers we’d bought during lockdown. Very easy to use and to hold. Lots of different attachments (some of which we will probably never use) to enable different designs. Overall, great product.
Bought in February blunt in July not really been very good at all I regularly washed and oiled. Old one lasted 2yrs this one 5 month I really don’t recommend. Cord to short as well .
Bought these sceptical at the quality as sempt too good to be true for the price . Iv cut my sons hair, dads and partners . All different lengths . Gave my son a skin fade and they’re really good quality hardly any noise so was able to cut his hair without him making a fuss he’s only 1 ! I highly recommend !
Very surprised how easy it was to cut my hair. Eyebrows too. As my local barber has recently closed it will pay for itself after first two uses. Not sure how to use the angled comb attachments.
I had a previous one which I loved and it cut great, however I dropped it onto a hard surface, which it did not like (though to be fair it was not the first time, I think I was just unlucky the last time) I also had it for a couple of years.
I went and read a lot of reviews and in the price range this was still the recommended clipper.
However on arrival the new one was much lighter at least half the weight, the sound was also quieter, so I thought they must have been cutting costs (see what I did there) and I was a little worried it would not cut as good.
I have to say though, it does cut just as good as the last one, I am writing this after having used it several times and am having no issues thus far. I would say I would buy it again, however I am hoping if I do not drop it, it will last longer :p
I bought these for temporary use. Whilst I wait on my Whal Professional clippers that cost 5 times the price.
These are much lighter weight (about a third of the weight), and great if you have wrist problems. Perfect for those who have carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome, most professionals will understand this.
With so many guards you are almost certain to find the perfect cut. comes with all the accessories you will need including a clipper guard for storage, and a very small neck brush for getting rid of those nasty stray hairs. I think these would be excellent value for anything sub 30. An excellent buy with all the benefits of being delivered by Amazon being an added bonus.
If in doubt, stop looking. Please buy these, they will not leave you disappointed.
These clippers are the latest version of clippers I have been using for years. They do a reasonable job but not as good as the original. This is obviously my personal opinion and others may say it’s better than ever but, given the excellent price, I’m not really complaining. These are fairly quiet in use and do a very good job with trimming both hair and beard. I have a feeling that these newer ones are less powerful than the old but I suppose that’s a good thing. All in all I would recommend these clippers if you have a limited budget but want a good job done.
ave watched with interest the price of a set of Wahl cordless clippers, available from Argos at 36.00 reach almost 280.00 for supply on the Amazon marketplace. I decided to purchase this corded set made by Remingtomn and my 19 year old son has cut my hair with them today. Two things to note:
1. My son has never cut anyone’s hair before, however, he found the supplied instruction book good (confirmed by me) and the on-line tutorial very useful.
2. This Remington, in many ways is similar to the Wahl model, with a range of coloured combs and guides to cut your hair via grade.
I have just had my hair cut and can confirm:
1. The blades are sharp
2. There is not tugging or pulling of your hair: I assume due to the power of the motor and the sharpness of the blades
3. The supplied combs allow grading to be adjusted and what could have been a disaster has become a reasonable trim.
4. The supplied scissors, standard comb and brushwork all used and whilst not of professional salon standard are ok. What can you reasonably expect for 15.00
5. As well as the combs to alter the cut according to grade, the actual clipper head has a graduation option allowing to coarser grades as well as adjusting to assist in cutting the nape of the neck and sideboards.
I gave my son 10.00 to cut my hair, no it isn’t the best cut I have ever had BUT I have paid a lot more for a lot worse in the past.
Couple of things I would recommend:
1. Don’t try to cut your own hair unless you are very dextrous.
2.. Do watch the on-line guide and read the supplied booklet.
3. Go at this slowly, you can always cut more off if it isn’t short enough, or in my case get my son to cut my hair in 2-3 weeks time, rather than my normal 4 weeks at the barbers.
4. Be patient with the person cutting your hair. Whilst you might wonder what they are doing, consider how you will feel if the roles were reversed.
5. Enjoy the experience, if all else fails, you can shave it all off and start again.
Brilliant product. I am not going to dispense with the services of my barber when everything returns to normal, but in the interim, my son and these clippers are more than up to the job.
Great value and below the cost of a haircut.
These are amazing! My son has high functioning autism (aspergers) and going to the hairdresser is a real trauma for him. We talked about these in advance as being ‘his’ special ones, but I wasn’t expecting much.
They aren’t as noisy as ones I’ve seen used before and the quiet buzz wasn’t distressing for my little one at all. The instructions with them are clear and the combs are all colour coded. If you are one for not reading instructions, be aware no.2 is a Grade 1, no.3 is a Grade 2 and so on so you don’t end up with less hair than expected!
My son has very thick hair, but I let the clippers go through without pulling on them and his hair fell away. Because of the hairdresser issue his hair had also become quite long, but this wasn’t a problem at all. Doing it at myself I was also able to cradle the back of his head with my hand as I did the top so no hair fell across his face. He even smiled at me while I was doing it! (I was nervously chattering to him the whole time mind you, conscious that if anything went wrong he could be left with half a haircut!)
I’m actually looking forward to doing his hair again! I definitely recommend this item, they are far better quality than you imagine with the price tag they have. They are a good weight without being too heavy, quiet and cut beautifully. Very happy
