I have waist length hair and drying it can take ages, However with this one it has cut the time I spend drying my hair in half as I use the hair diffuser, so happy I bought this product.
I do like this hairdryer – it’s powerful and lightweight – but was surprised by the heat settings. The 3-way switch delivers cool, slightly less cool and seriously hot air. I tend to need to use the hot and then switch down to the middle setting when it gets too intense. This then is a little too cool to dry hair quite quickly enough. There just isn’t a ‘comfortably hot’ setting which I’ve always found in previous hairdryers. That said, it works fine, is nice enough to hold and has decent attachments. It’s quite loud, but not horrendous.
When I first unboxed this, I was dubious about using it because it is considerably heavier than my previous hairdryer. However, on first (and so far only) use, it dried each section of my hair in 1 to 2 passes at most and it’s as if I’ve been to the hair dresser! Super shine, bounce and long lasting results.
I am very impressed! Marked 4/5 overall simply for the weight.
I absolutely love this hairdryer. My hair is frizz free and it makes my hair soo shiny and silky.
It is a little bit heavy and I am quite strong but definitely can’t hold it in the same hand for the full drying time.
The best hairdryer I’ve ever had so I decided to buy their straightener too 🙂
Really good hairdryer. A little on the heavy side but dry hair quickly. Only downside is if your not careful the end of the hairdryer where the filter is sucks in your hair and pulls in out which is very painful and this is with the filter on not when it has fallen off.
So impressed with this dryer. I have short hair but it had become dry and frizzy, despite various product. Read the reviews on this dryer and so glad I decided to buy. After only the 2nd use my hair is shining again and feels and looks silky. Its easy to use and so quick, but best of all is the effect, haven’t used any special products because I wanted to test the dryer on its own merrits, and it’s brilliant.
I love this. My hair is wavy. Using this and the diffuser, I now have a mass of curls. They feel really light, my hair falls beautifully and the best thing was it dries really fast. I don’t agree it’s heavy like some reviews. Might be heavier than your old one but it’s not heavy in itself. Looks stylish and the motor is quiet. Love it.
I bought this to replace another Remington product which had been badly designed and was dangerous. This is much better! Compared to most of my dryers to date, it is more powerful and causes less frizz. The diffuser is excellent. I wish the control buttons worked the other way – down for on and up for off – but that’s just about me getting used to it. Best benefit: I can use it holding on to the barrel instead of the handle for pixie drying with great results.
Great hairdryer.. especially for my hair which can become extremely frizzy. Love the attachments. Had a similar hairdryer before, a different make which finally gave up after 6 years. It’s slightly heavy but my old one was too. This one is definitely a fab replacement. Very happy.
My wife dry’s her hair in less time than she did with the old dryer. Not as noisy. She’s happy with the results so that makes life so much easier for everyone.
Bought for my wife for Xmas replacing an old one that was falling apart. Doesn’t seem as hot as the old one but the airflow is higher so overall an improvement as the heat doesn’t damage the hair. Wife’s happy so great for the money.
This hairdryer is quite heavy but I’m getting used to it. Works well but finding the buttons to be easily changed while using but guessing I’ll get used to that too. My only real issue with the hairdryer is the cable gets very easily tangled – my straighteners and my previous hairdryer have slightly thicker, weightier cables which stay straight. A decent enough hairdryer though.
It has great drying power!
Bad side…
It is sooo heavy it is quite awkward to use and also, where the buttons are placed on the handle makes it quite difficult to hold as there is no where to hold without a button!
Very good hairdryer, you get a nice result that looks professional. I bought this to replace my old Remington hairdryer.
It is a bit too loud and also the way the buttons are placed it is easy to accidentaly turn it off while holding it.
The first one i got had a faulty cable but it was quickly replaced.
I bought this a week ago and I’m really impressed with it. I have fine, fly away hair that fluffs up at every opportunity and I can honestly say that this hair dryer severely reduces the fluff and eaves my hair shiny and smooth.
It is heavier than a regular dryer so it may be more difficult for older users but I am 42 and have gotten used to the extra weight. I don’t think it dramatically cuts drying time but it’s definitely more efficient than my old hair dryer. The speed and heat settings are excellent but I’m not sure the keratin setting actually does anything but it might do for other people. All in all this is an excellent dryer and leaves my hair feeling smooth so I highly recommend it .
The weight is the first thing you’ll notice using this, it’s much heavier than my last one but it is manageable.
The angle of the nozzle is weird, my last one was a 90 degree angle so I’m having to get used to a more tilted angle hairdryer, hopefully won’t take too long.
The handle is thicker than my last one too so doesn’t sit right in my hand, and I can see now why people were mentioning that they catch the buttons.
I think it’ll get a little bit of getting used to it but as for functionality it works very well. It’s nice and powerful and that’s the main thing I was looking for so I’m happy with it for now.
The lead is nice and long as we which is a bonus, it’ll just take a bit of getting used to it I think.
My hair feels incredible after using this hairdryer for the past week. Living in London, hard water kills and destroys people’s hair. It becomes hard, brittle and frizzy even with frequent moisturising treatments and products claiming to do otherwise.
A week of this hairdryer has left my hair soft, smooth and easily manageable. Something that I have attained for it to be for ages. I’m using the same products I always have. The only factor that has changed is the use of this hair dryer.
The heat from it, even on its highest setting isn’t as intense as my last hair dryer, but that’s clearly a good thing. And saying that, it’s hot enough that it seems to dry my hair in almost the same amount of time.
Zero issue with weight of product for me. I do agree that grip is a bit u comfortable at times due to the buttons, but for the outcome I am getting of my hair looking and feeling as it does- it’s a non-issue.
I love this hairdryer. I had this for around 10 years and was still in good working order, but was starting to wear out so decided to treat myself to a new one. The quality is amazing. I’ve read some of these reviews saying it’s a heavy hairdryer, and I compared it to the same one from years prior, and it’s actually lighter. As far as hairdryers go, it’s probably one of the heavier ones, but I wouldn’t say it was heavy at all. Easy to use, and feels well made. Also knowing my previous one lasted ten years, I know they’re.well made. This is also by far one of the cheapest hairdryers for the settings and perks, makinfnit good quality for money. It has 3 heat settings, 3 power settings and a cold button. It’s infused with Kerstin and argon oil. Smells amazing whilst being used and hair looks and feels amazing afterwards. Couldn’t reccomend this hairdryer enough
I have a thic wavy hair, quite long, and this hair dryer does the job. I don’t like the diffuser so much, i was disappointed, because it’s to small for my dense hair. But other than that, it’s a pretty good hair dryer for this price. I’ve used small hair dryers in the past, this was my first “bulky” dryer and I can’t find anything wrong with it. The lowest heat setting is almost cold, so it’s not damaging the hair. I follow CGM and this has passed my test. I’ve been using it last few weeks and I’m really happy with it. I still can’t manage the diffusing, but i don’t blame my hair dryer, my hair is too long for it, at least for this diffuser.
I’ll update my review in the future when i try to use it to straighten my hair with the brush, but it seems to me it’s gonna work just fine, cause the highest heat and speed setting are quite powerful. So far, I’d recommend it to anyone with the curly hair because of the low heat setting. And also, lowest speed setting is satisfying.
It seems heavy at first, especially if you never used big hair dryer (like me), but after few minutes you’ll figure it out. It’s not to heavy for me, my arms don’t hurt when using it. For this price i couldn’t ask for more. I’m planning to pair it with bigger diffuser though.
I found this to be quite straining to use for styling due to its weight. It’s not ridiculously heavy or anything, but it’s important for anyone who doesn’t have a lot of arm muscle to consider that before buying. I would say I’m stronger than the average woman due to weight lifting and I had a bit of a ache while using it to heat style. The dryer itself is easy to use (the plastic purple bit around the nozzle threw me off a bit though, it at first seems like something you’d take off but apparently not) and has a sufficient amount of settings. The button placement is a bit awkward – as it is on a lot of hair dryers cause there’s really not that much space to put them – so I did get some accidental pushes. Especially with the weight it sometimes takes some effort and awareness to place your hand in a way that’s not going to press anything.
The reviews are in general true that the hair dryer is on the heavier side. I believe this hairdryer was designed with the intention of being better suited to salon use rather than home use, which is probably the reason why it is so heavy. It is also quite long – with the concentrator connected, I need to stretch my arm out straight to use it, so it is a bit tiring if you are doing it for a long time. Luckily the drying power is really good so I don’t have to hold it for too long. The hairdryer comes in 2 power levels and 3 temperatures and I haven’t tried out the 2nd power level yet as I found the 1st one good enough for my use. My hair is rather thick and a bit coarse, and I can tell the hairdryer does leave my hair softer and smoother after drying compared to my previous hairdryer. Another downside other than being heavy is that it is quite loud, which could be a problem if you’re a student living in thin-walled dorms who also likes taking late night/ early morning showers like I do. However I think considering the value of money and the function it is a good purchase for me, just don’t buy if you want a lightweight hairdryer but if you don’t mind a slightly heavier one as long as it dries well and leaves your hair smoother than this is the one.
