It was easy to use this, my wife actually. She shaved my hair with them during covid and I have also used it to trim my beard, so very happy with the kit.

Pros: Good battery life, lots of guard size option, Great for Afro hair & beard, lots of additional accessories.

Cons: A bit too noisy, heavy & definitely not for fades.

All in all a very good product and I’m happy with the purchase.

I wasn’t sure about which clippers to get after having some cheaper ones before.
These arrived in a sturdy carry box with all the extras like scissors etc.
The actual clippers feel sturdy and a bit weighty which is a good thing. They cut really well.
    Would recommend.

    Ergonomic and easy to use
One of the best on the market
Downside the battery will last lesser and lesser after just a year and the heads are easy to break

Bought this to replace old one which had lasted 3 years before battery worn out and stopped cutting well.
Good that it does not have a lead connected to a socket but I suppose that comes with a shorter life due to the rechargeable battery. Overall a good hair trimmer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese clippers are very good at cutting hair so that’s a result. They are light to use compared to our old Remington mains clippers and come with quite a few different combs to help with length and styling and a mini trimmer which is quite good. Also get some flimsy scissors and a small comb which aren’t really useful. It does come with a plastic storage box which is a good feature.
The only issue is that when run on battery mode, even after charging for hours as instructed, the speed and power of cutting is slower than when connected via the charging lead. Still gives a good cut but slightly harder work with thick hair. We tend to use with the charging lead connected to start with then unplug to finish. If you were using with sort or thin hair it wouldn’t be a problem.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was on offer. The clipper set is average. Tend to use it plugged in as it didn’t have the same oomph on battery?…Cuts ok. Combs feel flimsy. time will tell…also they are not detailed with usual number format but in mm which is confusing and comb sizes are not so versatile as my old Babyliss.

Got these to replace my old Remington cordless clippers which I’d had 20 years and finally gave up. In that time I’d never had to touch the blades as the ceramic never needs sharpening or lubricating. So far, after 3 cuts, these appear the same. Their lighter and battery life so far is excellent. Don’t appear to cut quite as close but Only by about 0.25mm. I like to go really stubbly short in summer. It’ll be absolutely grand for most people though. Highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is the second set of these I’ve bought having to replace the first set after 5 or 6 years as the battery was no longer holding a charge, however if used plugged in everything still worked as it should. Perhaps not professional standard but for trimming your own hair they are perfect and would be happy to recommend.

Decent product with a good ergonomic design. Sea clipper and does appear a little smaller than the same product I have had in the past and indeed that I’ve purchased this one to replace, which means slightly more Strokes across the head while in use to achieve the desired cut but still a good handy item to ow

The combs feel a bit flimsier than the previous model I had, but the plastic might just be more flexible & less brittle. Time will tell. The old model I had (for 8+ years) had a latex grip which rotted and became unpleasantly sticky and older battery tech wasn’t great, so it hadn’t held a charge in years.
So lighter, not sticky and very much hands-free. All good. The storage case is a nice touch, as the soft bag the older model came in was a dirt magnet.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThanks to the wretched lock-downs, I’ve returned to cutting my own hair. I mean, what alternative is there? Even when the barbershop is open, it’s like a biological weapons lab, with all the screens and masks and what-not. So here I am, giving myself corona-cuts in front of the bathroom mirror.

So far, I have no complaints about this trimmer, and since it costs little more than one trip to the barbershop, I’m not hugely concerned about its long-term reliability. One charge of the battery lasts long enough to cut my hair, which is as long as I need it to last. At present, the blades are sharp, and I get a clean, tug-free cut. There’s a good selection of cutting combs, including the all-important round-the-ear tapered comb. There’s also something appears to be a small beard trimmer, or a large nasal trimmer — I’m really not sure which, and I haven’t tried to use it.

Also in the pack is what I first thought was just a pouch for the trimmer but, in fact, unfolds into a thing you put your head through, to keep the clippings from going down your neck. I’m sure there’s a word for that thing, but I don’t know what it is.

To be honest, the whole thing feels a bit flimsy — the clipper, the combs, and most definitely the case. The case, in fact, borders on useless. But, as I said, it only has to last until the coronavirus vaccine is in circulation (I hope), so I’m not too worried.

All in all, a good purchase, I think.

Hello and welcome to my review. I think kit is very good value for money. Recently purchased prior to covid lockdown number 2. I’ve used this successfully to do my own cut with great results (better than some i’ve paid a barber for in the past!). I used it for about 15mins without any battery issues, so not sure it last until it goes flat.
The kit comes with a variety of attachments but have only needed to use a few. Scissors also work well.
The main clipper unit needs to be put on charge for 12-16 hours. This seems excessive but i can only presume its because of the battery chemistry used (nicad) and as such it has to take this long to safely charge them up.
People complain about poor battery life. Again this can be a characteristic of the ‘memory effect’ which can impact these types of batteries. To help avoid issues you’ll need to let the batteries run down before rechgarging.
You have to remember this kit is built to a price, not meant as top end for barbershop use and as such i think its a good deal.
I’ll probably use once more and rarely again, by which time it will have paid for itself.

Good razor the on!y disappointment was the delivery. It wasn’t protected when delivered and it was in the original razor box with a stamped address label on, it was not in a cardboard or plastic covering so everyone could see what was being delivered. (Luckily it wasn’t damaged) This was a gift for my son but he was the one who answered the door so he now knows one of his Christmas presents!!

Perfect barber’s kit. Not a trimmer like many…. this is a full on barber’s wide headed unit. It also comes with every possible accessory. Several grade adapters for length choice. What I don’t understand is the price. You’d think at this price, it can’t be THAT good. But it is. Bargain. ( I bought this a few years ago but lent it to my brother and never got it back – so, in light of all barber shops closing due to COVID 19, I went looking for clippers again and found these, it’s still the same price and quality.

EVERYTHING a good barber shop shpuld and would have is in this mini briefcase of kit. Look no futher or pay anymore. They are robust and lasted years and still do ( for my brother ). So happy to find they’re still being made and are still at the same price.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersBrilliant-Brilliant-Brilliant. Worth every penny. I now sport a shaved head look done with no guard/comb – so that the greys blend in with scalp!! Nothing against my hairdresser – she does a wonderful job,; but with prices going up from 8, to 10, to 12 over the last couple of years or so these will pay for themselves, in 9 weeks (3 haircuts).

The main clippers are easy to use, easy to clean, lightweight, 4 complete head shaves from one charge, basically I cant argue. The small trimmers are battery powered (1xAA) and a nice little bonus along with the hair-clips, scissors, and comb.

If you want the full kit – great, If you only want the main clippers, then the additional items are a nice bonus.

    UPDATE. 25/11/18.
The batteries have finally given up the ghost. Let’s be fair. I have used at least once a week for nearly 3yrs. For the last 4months I have noticed them not lasting fora third use from the charge, and this week the first use was slow to cut and the second use it had insufficient power and they jammed as soon as they went into my hair.

They are not complete scrap though. The blades are still sharp and it can still be used plugged into the mains.

Final say is well worth the money, a weekly shave and haircut for around 10 a year, who can argue at that!?
