Best performance of a controller you’ll find at this price bracket . I have 2 now on my boat and they drag in every last drop of energy till the sun sets … recommended
This is an excellent bit of kit.
will run 260W solar array,
MPPT adjusts to pull the maximum output from the solar array, rather than working on a fixed output.
Instructions are good.
Load function is very useful with timing options.
No more flat battery
After you understand the instructions think about mounting module . Leaving plenty of access from below for cables. Stickers to identify +- cables , make sure you buy 4-6 pairs of solar connectors and some extra flexible cable additional 3-6mtrs and suitable wire ring connectors 35amp yellow 5/16 (8mm)to fit to the aux battery posts 13 mm nut &bolt .P clips & heat shrink 40cm to fit cables.
This was installed on my first solar project and very impressed with with the product.
Easy to follow instructions.
Based on advice on youtube videos , i purchased this as it was highly recommended and easy to instal. It really was easy and i am really impressed with how straight forward it is to use. This appears to be a top quality item and looks great, highly recommend .
I “upgraded” to this Renogy charger from the other popular Chinese brand thinking they would be of similar functionality and quality. What a mistake!
The display/menu system on this one is almost completely useless:
* The ordering is illogical/unintuitive (solar readings to output to solar and back to output again in one cycle?)
* All the cumulative values are in Ah, which is a non-sensible unit for a voltage-varying system
* Voltage readings are low by 0.2V on my unit, which means the battery percentage estimate is off by a lot
* The four buttons do the same job as the two buttons on the other brands with the back button mostly decorative
* No backlight
Hardware-wise:
* The terminals are large and uses Philips screws which is nice
* However, when fully screwed in, they raise quite far up into the cover making it impossible to visually inspect the leads. Having to rely on the tug test.
* The corners of the heat sink fins are a bit sharp
seems ok time will tell but looks and feels good quality
Bought this along with the Bluetooth adapter for my T5 Campervan. Works well, easy to install and the bonus of being able to monitor the system from your phone or tablet when in the van. Thoroughly recommended.
Great value MPPT charge controller.
Charges even in overcast skies.
Very easy to install, operate and not too big.
100w panel ane this controller seem to work very well together.
Works really well, build quality appears good but only installed over a week
Very nice piece of kit. Charging a big 12v AGM battery properly. Temperature probe for battery is included and is a very good design.
Works quite well, would say better that tracer
One cavet i have is that it’s not able to lower voltage when it starts above 75V, which is dang annoying as some panels have Vmp at 60V but Voc 85V and it throws OV erro
