I’ve used Rexel products before and always been pleased with them, and this is – in my opinion – an excellent A4 laminator.
It’s light-weight, easy to store and I’ve used it lots and get quality laminating, which just look really professional.

It’s a good product, it seals very well, it’s not bulky, it’s stored easily and doesn’t take a lot of space. It’s not very speedy but in general the product is good for the price I paid.

Bought this laminator to replace an old one. I’m a teacher so it’s handy to have a laminator at home. Heated up quickly and is easy to use. Laminated items look good.

Was very happy with this item. My first one i ordered did not arrive but the second one did & i am very pleased with it. I used it on some children’s paintings for them to take home. very happy customer.

This was bought to replace one I got years ago. Instant impression was that it was lighter than my old one. This didn’t stop it doing the job I bought it for. Not bad for the price and easy to use.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt works very well and very good price, as other folks have said the instructions are very basic, switch to left for cold sealing and switch to right for hot sealing, could have written hot and cold in 3 or 4 languages to make it more obvious.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersAs a teaching assistant I am always creating different resources.

Bought this so I could create resources at home, due to the laminator at work always breaking.

This laminator gives a good seal around the paper/resources I have created.

Important to make sure it is fully heated before using as it won’t seal the pouches correctly if not. It’s also important that you leave a gap between your work, the only way it seals is if the plastic is touching plastic. So each piece of paper needs to be cut to size before laminating the recut after.

Had this on for 3 hours and managed to do all of my resource making with no issues.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our Usersit isn’t hot enough when the hot light goes off so i usually wait a bit longer before feeding the sheet trough. the first time the sheet can out foggy and not very clear but now that i know to wait a few extra minutes after the light goes off i don’t have an issues any more. it is very easy to understand and use despite the no instructions. i am very happy with it. i would give it 4.5 stars but won’t give it 5 because of this small issue. i have some tips too. if something that had previously been laminated is old and has been tampers with a lot it can be re fed trough to revamp and revive it. Also things can be re laminated after they have been cut if it came out with bubbles ( because it wasn’t fed trough correctly) and it isn;t completely stuck all the way around

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI write rhyming children’s books to inspire little minds to dream BIG and I have been using this laminator in combination with the “H&S 100 x A4 Laminating Pouches 150 Micron (2 x 75 Micron) Gloss Laminator Pouches Sheets” to create marketing material for outdoor purposes. The laminator is easy to use and warms up in under 4 min. I’ve attached a photo of how laminated pouches look prior (left) and after (right) the lamination process. You can see that they turn beautifully transparent. The only disadvantage I noticed about this particular laminator is (and I’m taking off one star for this) that the laminated item does not fully leave the laminator, which means it stays too close to the heat source, which obviously could become a heat hazard. Thus, IF you don’t walk away while laminating things and IF you don’t let children use this machine by themselves, this laminator is a great choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great laminator for beginners BUT never walk away

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt works exactly like it should and came perfectly wrapped inside the box but when opened I noticed it had these scuff marks on the top which is weird. But apart from that it’s really easy to use, I’m a teacher and I had it on for about an hour and half yesterday and it worked brilliantly, great value for money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works exactly like it should but….

Arrived promptly and well packaged. Instructions are pictorial and not clear whether to use a laminating pouch – I tried it with one but not hot enough and no effect so tried again without and it worked well. The green light heat indicator is not very well lit but it does imply that it takes 4 minutes to heat up. Not sure about cold laminating though – what pouches to use etc as there are no instructions so I’ll have to Google it!

Simple to use for occasional use. Just make sure you feed the laminate in square to the rollers.
Gets hot quickly. I have only used it for my credit card sized COVID pass and an A4 item. worked great both times. Can’t give it 5 stars yet as don’t know about long term reliability. I think it is a good buy. Delivery was fast.

Golden Review Award: 196 From Our UsersI bought the Style (white option) A3 size laminator as I now have and use an A3 printer. The laminator is easy to use despite the minimalist user guide which just shows a series of pictures with no instructions. You plug it in, switch it on and move the switch on the front to the left for cold lamination pouches and to the right for hot lamination pouches (they’re different things). The green light comes on immediately for cold lamination and after about 4mins for hot lamination. Once you’ve positioned the article you want to laminate in the pouch and the green light is on, feed the pouch, closed end first, into the laminator aligning it to the left of the slot (although this doesn’t seem to matter too much if you don’t get quite right). The laminator will draw the pouch through and drop it out at the end. The spring loaded lever at the back of the laminator is only for freeing jammed pouches should that occur in which case you hold the lever against the tension of the spring and pull the pouch out from the front.

Now for the tricky bit ! The laminator box states that it will handle 75-125microns but doesn’t state whether that is per laminate (i.e. top or bottom sheet) or per pouch (both sheets). This is important as some pouch manufacturers quote the thickness as per laminate and some per pouch so one offering at 125 can be much thicker than another at 150 because the first was per laminate and therefore a total of 250 per pouch and the other was for the total pouch ! Have you lost the will to live yet ?

I have contacted Rexel Customer Support online and they got back to me within minutes (well done Rexel !!) and they have confirmed that their figures refer to the thickness of the entire pouch. Now all you have to do is negotiate the minefield of pouch manufacturer’s description of their products. Be aware that some here on Amazon describe their offering as 125 microns but when you look at the image of the packaging it shows 125×2 – in other words each laminate is 125microns and the total pouch is 250microns.

I’ve knocked one star off of “Easy to use” as the user guide is so minimalist as I’ve said above but once you’ve worked out what it all means it’s very simple to use and good value for money.

Would have given this 5 star but the only instructions were for safety, Cleaning and disposal, no usage instructions. I have used a laminator before so it was not a big issue. However, I had to log into Amazon and look up the product description to find out what the Cold button was for as I have never had that before. There were a few pictures in the booklet on how to use but if you have never used one before this is not enough.
