Since I put this down there has been no sign of vermin. Just as well as the building site almost opposite has released thousands of rats when digging foundations for the new clinic.
quite useful but i just don’t get why it questions you about the flavouring at the top
works, but if you have lots of rats you will needs lots of poiso
I own a grade 2 listed building. The property to the side of me has been derelict for some years. This year the family of Rats had somehow managed to get into my loft space and were rather loud! Scratching and chewing like they owned the place. Without going into to much detail, thanks to this amazing product I no longer have to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet! Worked within 3 days!
Worked a treat on a mouse infestation under our garden decking. Not seen a mouse in weeks so happy with the result.
Ever since I let my daughter keep a pet lady rat, wild rats from outside have started making their way into the house, digging under foundations, finding gaps between pipes and bricks, etc. This stuff is an excellent way to make sure if they do find their way in they have something tasty to dine on as their last ever meal.
Expensive but it works and controls the local rat population.
Easy to use but must continue putting down until not taken.
2 baby rats appeared in the garden after a neighbour was clearing out (and behind) an old shed. The rat poison was put out, but unfortunately one of the rats lived for 2 days afterwards – hunched up by our fence with its eyes open, but not moving. We couldn’t dispose of it until we knew it was dead
I have a Victorian house with floorboards, I live in the country so every October as the food in nature starts running out there will always be mouse activity as they come indoors to feed & breed. If you deal with it firmly and sensibly you can nip it in the bud very simply and quickly:
1. Vacuum and clean food prep areas – leave no food crumbs anywhere on the floor of your home, no petfood mess – nothing. Ensure packets of food are out of reach or securely stowed in cupboards where there is no access from the ground – remember, mice can fit through the tiniest of gaps. Store foods in metal tins if you need to.
2. Bait multiple traps under the kitchen units where mice like to run. Rather than cheese (which does work) use high-energy foods such as peanut butter or nutella (mice go totally nuts for both of these). Bait several traps and don’t use loads of bait – a match-head size blob is fine, the more effort a mouse makes to get this small amount the more likely there are to spring the trap. Check regularly and have a supply of bags handy when you need to do the grisly task of disposal. (Humane traps work – BUT a mouse has a range of half a mile, so these are totally useless unless you are prepared to go to the effort of going a mile away from your home to release each time.)
3. if like me you have floorboards and you detect mice scuttling about – lift a board and set up poison bait. I use two kinds – the solid waxy kind (you will need to nail or wire this to a joist so that it encourages gnawing) and the loose ‘red wheat’ kind (this product). I put a few bait stations down, and check regularly that there is activity.
Do all this and you will deal with all but the worst infestations within a few weeks. Good luck!
Although this is a palatable, effective bait and readily accepted, Bromadiolone is able to kill after one meal.
If you have pets the upside is that it is an anticoagulant but it has to be placed securely.
Due to the bad weather a rat came in from the streets on Friday and ordered this poison same day came tea time Saturday put a full bag halved in 2 places and rat ate about half the bag today Tuesday morning found middle of my kitchen floor not moving so less than 48 hours from poison to getting rid of rat great product would recommend
The product arrived well packaged & on time. Instructions are very clear. Mice were attracted to the bait on first night left out. This continued for 4 successive nights. No further activity with bait now untouched. Will investigate results soon as I know where the nest is.
Easy to use. Too early to tell if it is working but they certainly appear to like it. Unfortunately rats are well known for hoarding food. I had a similar experience at our former address. I had rats in my shed and called in the council rat man. He put bags down and kept putting another each time he called and the earlier bag was gone. Eventually I raised the floor and all the bags were piled up and they hadn’t been eaten. The poison I am using at this address is being picked and taken away. I have a motion activated camera and I have loads of videos showing them carting it off. I am hoping that, since they are carrying it in their mouths, they must be eating some of it. The packet does state that it takes a little while so I am hoping for a good result.
Used for the last 4 Mondays running – the mice love it ! I was dubious as the advice on the packet recommended mechanical traps before trying this !!! So if you enjoy feeding the small mice population with expensive food buy this ,they polished it off completely each night it was used ! No doubt next Monday they’ll be queuing up waiting to be fed !!!!
UPDATE : Did eventually work after about 6-7 weeks so be patient !!
We have used this product on numerous occasions when we catch sight of/or see signs of a rat in our back garden,
We put it down whereabouts we find their place of entry/leaving and it appears to work for a while without any trace of them then if they re-appear after a short time we put down another portion. This appears to keep their presence to a minimum and we are happy to say we have not seen an increase in their numbers at all.
…it is effective but since it is not an ‘instant reaction’ I have to assume that once the mice have ingested the grain it takes subsequent effect and does its job.
Used in conjunction with traps this seem to keep me mouse free during the winter months when they get into the garage and up into the roof too.
As I have no pets I am happy to use it in the roof and within an old mousetrap box behind a cabinet in the garage.
I live in an old terraced house in a poor area with a foot high crawl-space underneath (where mice seem to live). I’ve blocked all visible holes up, but they must be entering where I cant see. I put this under my kitchen sink a few weeks ago and it was all gone the next day. Since then I’ve cleaned up the few ?? Kernals? every day as if just one or two mice have been in the night. I keep expecting it to stop, that one day I’m going to look and see that no one has called in the night. But no, every single morning someone has been and had a little nibble.
So, I dont know if the poison is working as good, or the mice are wary and only eat a little bit, or that there’s so many mice to kill that it’s going to be a never ending story! Sadly, I think it’s going to be the latter.
This stuff is amazing. Every winter I fight a losing battle with mice that come in from the fields to get warm. Humane traps are completely useless in my experience, and the little boogers get wise to the snap traps and learn to avoid them. I was just about at my wits end a couple of weeks ago when several of my prize succulent plants were gnawed down to the roots. As a last resort I decided to try poison and I’m so pleased I did. I filled a dish according to the instructions and placed it behind my chest freezer where I suspected the point of entry was. The next morning only a few grains were left and later that day I found 3 dead mice + 1 dead rat outside in the garden. I’m done messing around with traps, from now on I’ll be using this stuff to deal with the problem.
I recently got decking in my garden and rats moved under as soon as it was completed I rang environmental health and was told it was 84 for someone to call out to get rid of them so I thought I would try myself first after looking on Amazon I found this poison and placed an order this product came very quickly I couldn’t believe how fast this stuf worked I put some in between the gaps in the decking within an hour it was all gone
I put more down the gaps the following night and that too was taken I’ve never seen a rat since I’ve got some left I’ve placed in a airtight tub just incase more try to move underneath but this stuff 100% works fast and has saved me a lot of money thankyou selle
