A good unit for the price. BATTERIES ARE INCLUDED despite what the description says. Comes with usb charging cable as well. A backlight and a 3x magnification allows easy viewing of negatives. Overall 5*
The bulb blew in my dad’s 1960s projector when I was half way though sorting out slides I wanted and 25 identical views of his holiday, which I didn’t! So I bought this to finish the job being portable, compact and comparatively inexpensive.
The definition on a slide is an amazing compared to what we all see on our phones and I’m really pleased with how easy it is to use.
Slides do get occasionally get stuck. When they do, get another slide and, whilst pushing in the slide release button, push with the second slide and the stuck one will pop right out.
I’ll take it to my sister’s on Sunday which is less faff than the projector and screen. I might never get invited back though.
Well chuffed, much better than my old one which I have had for years and years. Also can look a negatives of print pictures, can see much easier which pictures I would like a reprint of, better than holding up to ligh
I brought this for my sister she got loads sliders negatives from year ago she thought it was fantastic and being able look at all old slider and photos it made her day thank you
I have some old slides and films from the 1960s and wasn’t able to see what was on them. There is a bright light and it magnified the slides so I could see what was on them. Well worth the money for lots of memories.
My parents have a lot of slides, which they haven’t looked at for years. This little viewer is really simple to use, and the screen is a good size and gives a nice clear picture. Great for what they need.
The viewer is easy to use and gives good images. Just one caveat, if you have the cardboard surrounds, they can get stuck in viewer if they have slightly worn or imperfect edges. It can take some time to extract them! I have found also that you must press the eject button nice and firmly and that seems to help matters. I would recommend this viewer.
Really impressed with this little unit. I chose one which is battery operated (4 AA batteries, not supplied) means I can use it anywhere without having to think about usb charging or a power source. It can be mains powered if you wish, but with battery operation, it’s out of the box and up and running in a few minutes.
I’ve used it mainly to view a large number of old mounted slides. You just slide the block into the viewer and the image is large and clear on the screen. It has a 3D quality which gives the pictures real depth and brings them to life immediately. I think the quality of the images is crisp and clean, the unit is well built and should last for years and I like the ease of use. It’ll also display strips of slides too. Inexpensive and a great buy. Nicely boxed, so an ideal gift.
