Instructions could be clearer. Me and my mom thought that we had received a defective item because the pictures in the instructions were not self explanatory. Fortunately, when I asked my boyfriend to help me with returning the item, he tried to install it himself first, and after a while it was set!
It looks like advertised and the material is good and strong. So far my dog hasn’t tried to push it down but even forcing a bit the gate doesn’t move!
I brought this for my daughter as one of her gates broke so desperately needed a new one & this was reasonable price St the time as my daughter had no money at the time I didn’t have alot so this one jumped out & is perfect very good value so would recommend
I was happy with how high this is as this is for a xl bully and it dose allow us to have him have time out behind the gate he learnt quickly that being naught gets his time behind the gate and we have moved it up from the floor just 2in for a extra bit of height very happy with this came next day and I don’t know how I managed with out this dog gate.
Bought 2 of these to keep my dogs from tormenting the cat upstairs and to seperate them at mealtimes, I have one very greedy dog who would eat all the food. Easy to install, sturdy and the extra height was the reason I ordered them. Happy with the purchase and would recommend
The stair gate was really easy to install. You have the option of screwing it into the door frame/ wall or pressure fitting.
I’ve got two and both have been pressure fitted. They come with a sticky pad for pressure fitting which has meant that in the 4 months I’ve had it installed it hasn’t slipped once, which is a big improvement compared to other gates I’ve used.
It’s very sturdy and easy enough to open one handed once you’ve got the knack.
Brilliant product, if you have a dog or an athletic child. READ INSTRUCTIONS SLOWLY. Easy to install, suggest using a tape measure following the instructions. I bought the rectangular cussion blocks for more surface area to cover, works a treat. Finished product is quite strong on design, as there are two locking/fixing points to keep the gate closed/locked. First class service/first class product. All items needed for fixing are included. Though you can use other pads to hold the gate that are twice the surface area for a little extra cost on the same web site. All in all 10/10, well done guys.
I have a shorter gate from the same company that is magnetic closing but needed something taller due to the way the stair supports are made to ensure a solid fit.
This was the perfect size and goes up very easily. I only use occasionally when grandchildren visit so did not screw to the wall, but it was still a solid fit. Even without the magnetic closing, it is still very easy to use.
No children here but we do have 2 over exuberant (and high jumping!!!) Spaniels and soon, a German Shepherd, therefore needed something high and sturdy.this gate is so good that we bought 2!
Our house is old and crooked however the fit is fantastic and secure without the need for readjustment.
It was well packaged and all the fittings and parts are cable tied inside, not loose so chances are everything is going to be there.
The gate is super easy to fit (we found that we didn’t need the instructions though they were good for guidance). Even for a gate it doesn’t look unattractive like some do.
There are 2 ways to lock the gate – using the stops at the bottom as well as the locking system at the top. I do love the fact the bottom can be adjusted so that the gate opens either way.
If you’re buying this specifically for dogs then look no further. By far the best for the price and does the job nicely.
One thing I would recommend is buying some extra grips as shown in my pics for the fittings to sit in against your door frame as think this has kept it double as secure as it has been.
This baby gate is so easy to fit and doesn’t need any drilling either so your doors and walls don’t get ruined. It fits by extremely strong suction which I wasn’t confident about but it is amazing! Mine is to keep my two dogs in the kitchen, one of which is a standard daschund which are known for their strength. It withstands him easily and hasn’t budged! It has a two handed opening operation but can be closed one handed. It’s tall which is a must have if it’s for keeping dogs at bay to prevent them jumping over. I highly recommend this baby gate.
Our springer spaniel could jump over our standard stair gate so purchased this tall gate to prevent her doing so. It was successful.
Was easy to install but just a little harder to open with my arthritic fingers as have to squeeze the underside button whilst pulling top button across. Everyone else manages to open it easily enough though.
I needed a gate to contain my loveable but mischievous and destructive growing puppy. Imo, a baby gate seemed a good idea as it can easily be moved from one doorway/stairs to another and is sturdy.
I chose this one as its minimum width starts at 73cm to 80cm max. (most start at76cm)- ideal for some of my doorways. And it’s height is good at 94cm to contain my growing devil dog for the time being.
The supplied manual is well illustrated but the text is all in French. The frame is well constructed and suitable for my purpose. When fitting the frame the frame nearest the locking mechanism has to be bent in to fit flush against the frame then fine adjusted with the 4 sets of supplied adjusters.
Fitting is straightforward enough and easier than it sounds
The two star washers supplied fit inside the top two adjuster spindles to aid tightening.
For the price paid it’s fair product and only only let down by the locking mechanism which is not particularly smooth in operation – requiring the top button to be held forward with thumb whilst closing the trigger underneath to operate the plastic latch. After a little practice however this mechanism works well enough albeit slightly notchy!
Not difficult to fit/install but awkward to – the tiny spanner provided to tighten the nuts was probably designed for the very children the gate prevents from from getting at the stairs – I do have very large hands but even so – very frustrating! But I do persevere! It is a great gate – extra tall which makes perfect sense – don’t forget we have to open the gate after coming down the stairs which means bending forward! But with this gate, with babe-in-arms no worries!
Brilliant. We bought it to keep two dogs separated, one of which is a German shepherd, as they fight. It is really sturdy, a good height and the clasp is easy to use. I assume it is easy to assemble, as it was done in a few minutes (but not by me!) I would mention that it would be a good idea to check the height of your door handle with the height of the gate. We have a gap between door handle and the gate, so it is not a problem, but if it were closer, the door handle would have caught on the gate, and that could be a problem. Otherwise, the height is good enough to stop most dogs from leaping over.
This gate is working for its intended purpose, which is to temporarily discourage my dogs from coming into the bedroom while I recover from surgery. However, the latch to close it doesn’t work because there is a gap between the gate and the frame. I admit this could be an installation error, but I really don’t see how it could work unless the whole thing was installed at an angle and with great force on one side.
That said, it’s doing the trick because we just use our toes to flick down both of the little plastic pegs at the bottom which prevent the gate from opening the wrong way. Certainly more fiddly than using the latch as intended, but it does what it needs to do. This solution wouldn’t hold up to a very determined dog or a toddler though.
The gate itself seems sturdy enough and the manufacturing looks like good quality.
I’m happy with what I got for the price I paid, particularly as I had read all of the reviews and knew there was a fairly good chance it wouldn’t work perfectly.

We had difficulty finding gates that fit our staircase due to the style of the bannisters but these are a great fit and do the job.
Easy to open and close and I think it will be a while before my little one figures out how to open them himself.
Used to keep my dog in the kitchen so she can have a whole room while I’m out rather than a crate. Pretty simple to install and hasn’t moved since!
