Good quality box with an RFID signal blocking inner layer. We keep the keys in the pouch, which alone provides protection: I can stand next to the car and the door won’t open; the signal is completely blocked. The box is just another layer of protection.
I find the pouch a tad too large, but my wife loves that it comes with a little chain, so she can attach the fob to it – no risk of dropping the fob.
I can confirm the faraday box and pouches work. The pouches have key chain inside to attach your key and the pouch is big enough to hold your car key on a key fob. I have tested the pouches and can confirm they work, I was unable to open my car standing right next to it, while the key was in the pouch. My reserve key is in the Faraday box.
Great idea to keep car keys safe, also included 2 shields for carrying keys. Given as a gift and received, very happy with this.
I would recommend this safely idea to all.
We have tested this and it definitely prevents the signal from our remote controls being amplified meaning that our vehicles cannot be stolen by thieves with amplification devices. We are glad we went for the bigger box as we can easily fit in all our keys and remote controls including the garage remote control.
I was in the market for one of these Faraday boxes and compared a bunch of them being sold on Amazon. I settled on this and glad I did. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
I even put my car keys in the pouch and sat in the car and the car wouldn’t start as it couldn’t register the signal from the key fob. Same result with the Faraday box! I even stood next to the car with the key fob in the pouch/box however the car couldn’t pick up the signal to know the key was next to the car to unlock the door.
In the past I bought a Faraday box that failed this exact test. Glad this works.
The box is tough. Seems durable. Nice little clasp on it too. It stores 2 key fobs, and a bunch of keys. It has the storage space. Can keep it anywhere and it blends in perfectly.
I’ll be buying this again and gifting it to someone this Xmas.
Bought for my husband to keep his car keys in. It’s a neat size, looks good and is not out of place sitting on a unit in the hallway. The extra travel pouch has been very handy when staying away from home.
The box is working when it is completely closed.I placed an i-phone in there and I tried to call it unsucesfully.I will write another review in three months.
Very happy holds for our purposes 3 sets of car keys and an occasional iPhone – works perfectly , easy to use and most importantly it’s peace of mind with this security box
My keys are far too bulky (too many keyrings!) for key pouches and so I wanted to find an alternative to improve security. The box looks great and is more than big enough for my bunch of keys and my husbands bunch of keys and his wallet.
Extremely satisfied.
Bought this as its the first time I have had a keyless car. There had been a number of car break ins near me .so thought best to put.it in something safe to stop the thieves from cloning my key fob. So far so good.
These are great, they block the signal, so thevies trying to scan outside the house for a key signal, they won’t find it. The pouch is great to take with tou when going out, we now use it when ever we ate out and the box when we are at home. This is a must for all house hold that have cars.
In light of recent articles about cars with keyless ignition being stolen despite disengaging the fob at night, we decided to invest in a Faraday box. In the event that the worst should happen, at least we could demonstrate to the insurance company that we had taken every precaution possible to prevent it happening.
The box looks quite smart though the lock might be a flimsy especially as it will be used eveyday. We will see how we get on.
With regards to it effectiveness both my husband & I were very sceptical about it working but hey guess what … it does!.
We tested it out. We put the key in the box shut the lid & stood right next to the car ~ couldn’t open any of the doors or boot. Then we opened the car put the key back in the box & tried to start the car ~ “key not detected” came up on the console. RESULT.
The “free” pouches will be useful ~ as we will use the pouches when we go away on holiday to store the car key overnight.
Fast delivery time ~ they arrived 2 days earlier than advised – 5 stars!
I’d have given this box 5 stars if it stayed open when you push the lid back. Keeps falling down. Other than that, great for its purposes. Fits well in our hall
I saw an article on ITV’s This Morning on how easy it is for thieves to clone keys from outside your property & then steal your vehicle. I was shocked at how easy it was. They highly recommended these Faraday boxes & pouches, which I’d never have thought of. Quality of this purchase is excellent.
This product actually works I tried to start the car by pressing the controls whilst inside the pouch. Inside the car and the display says can’t find key
Removed from
Pouch and the car started
Does what it says
Very happy with the box and pouches. The car did not respond even when we were sat inside it until the key removed from the pouch. They’re a good size for a key ring with other attachments. Box solid and takes phone and pouches
Well we got this little box because we have a keyless car.
Put the phone in to test it brilliant no signal there’s an app online that allows people to scan your keys in your home which lets them open your car and steal it.
This little box stops any scan being made.
At the end of the day it’s up to you.
Bought this because my key ring has several keys on it, and a Faraday pouch just wasn’t going to cut it. Yes, it works fine, looks quite elegant and I can throw two fairly large sets of keys inside and close the lid. So far, I’ve been remembering to do that every night. Samfolk highlight their “wide and durable” buckle, and I hope it is (durable); time will tell, it does seem like that might be the weak point in the box – however so far, no issues. As others have said, I’ve no use for the free pouches included, if it’s to increase protection I’d rather see the box have greater protection than have to pouch-up my keys as well as putting them in the box. Maybe I should buy a bigger box to put the box in?
Most importantly, the car is still in the drive.
I really wish I didn’t need this but with the prevalence of relay attacks and the inability to disable keyless entry on modern cars, there isn’t much choice. I guess it’s as good looking as a square black box near your door can be, the clasp is quite elegant but just gets in the way when I want my keys in a hurry.
I won’t use the “free” extras, but I couldn’t order without them and it feels very wasteful to include them just to be thrown away.
The box is quite large and there’s loads of space inside even with a couple of heavily loaded key rings in there. The seal between the box and its lid gives me confidence that no stray waves will escape if tested one night by a local scrote or two.
Needed this for the keys to my keyless entry car. The box is really good quality and feels sturdy. There’s enough room to fit both pouches in and maybe a phone or 2. The pouches are a good fit for the keys and seem to work really well. I can put the key in the pouch whilst I’m inside the car and within a few seconds my car is telling me it can’t see the key. The little chain inside the pouch came off within a week of use because its only attached by a thin strip of ribbon inside, but other than this I can’t fault the pouches at all.
I had thought multiple times about getting one of these little boxes and finally took the plunge. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase, it gives an extra layer of security and peace of mind that my property is slightly safer.
I got the size ‘small’ and was surprised at how big it is, can fit everything I need in there with ease.
Only small annoyance is when open the lid doesn’t stay up and need to hold it ope
The Faraday Box and Pouch 2 Pack is a game-changer when it comes to safeguarding your digital devices from unwanted access and potential hacking. As concerns about digital privacy and security continue to rise, I was on the lookout for a reliable solution, and this product exceeded my expectations.
The pack includes both a Faraday box and a Faraday pouch, providing versatile options for protecting different types of devices. The Faraday box is spacious enough to accommodate multiple smartphones, key fobs, credit cards, and other small electronic gadgets. The Faraday pouch, on the other hand, is perfect for carrying a single device while on the go.
On receipt the first thing I did was to put my iPhone in the box, close the lid and rang it. It rang! I was about to put the box back in its packaging to return it when I decided to try it with my car keys. Put them in the box, closed the lid, stood next to the car with box in hand and it wouldn’t unlock. Opened the lid and the car unlocked. So, I guess it sort of works and it was the car keys I bought it for. As for the box itself? Seems quite well made; I bought the larger size and it has plenty of room for a couple of sets of keys. Came with two pouches; a small one for one key and a larger purse style key intended for slipping a mobile phone into. Not sure I will use the latter but got it anyway.. Whether this box is any better than any other I can’t say
Update: Just put the iPhone in the large pouch and rang it. It didn’t ring but went straight to voicemail so I guess that works?
