I am a tall guy so I have no issues with the size of the phone. Someone with smaller hands may find the screen too big but I love it for media consumption.
I went for the 256GB internal storage and I am using it with a 256GB memory card. If you choose not to have a memory card you can a 2nd sim instead. I went for Awesome Silver colour, it’s great and I will hardly see the finish because it’s been in a case since day 1 but that’s the way it has to be.
The phone is running the latest version of Android and Samsung have guaranteed software support over a number of years.
I am no photographer but the cameras are great, love the pics I have been getting with my family. I don’t game on mobile phones but this phone is quick and easily handles everything I need.
No headphone jack but I adopted wireless earbuds a few years ago.
Something rarely mentioned in reviews is the call quality and this phone is solid when it comes to call quality.
I have not had the phone long but battery life is solid. The finger print reader is good, definitely not rapid as some of the higher end phones but good enough. To improve accuracy I recommend scanning the same finger twice.
With features like Bixby text call to screen unknown callers and object eraser (something my A52s did not have), I highly recommend this phone.
Great value, especially where I purchased the phone with generally good all round features. The biggest niggles I have after 3 weeks of use are…
1.) Complaints of a terminally distracting echo from recipients my calls if I’m wearing a wired headset or headphones. It doesn’t seem to be a problem if I don’t use a head-set, which is the only way I have, so far, found to get around this very irritating problem. I don’t have wireless head-sets to experiment with. This is a major niggle or even a deal-breaker if I can’t get to the bottom of it, which I have so far failed to do.
2.) The other niggle is Samsung bloatware.
The duplication of all the major Google apps, with Samsung apps, some of which, like Bixby, can not be deleted, which is very irritating as it is a terrible waste of RAM.
This is somewhat made up for by the promise of extended future support for Android and security updates.
3.) As I sometimes wear hearing aids, the other great disappointment is the lack of support for Bluetooth streaming for streaming capable hearing aids.
The ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) protocol has been enabled on Android since version 11.
This phone is Android 13, but still Samsung have failed to implement ASHA for compatible hearing aids which is EXTREMELY disappointing. Hopefully all the positives, of which there are many, will outweigh the negatives, especially if I can get to the bottom of the terminally distracting echo the recipients of my calls have to suffer!!!
Absolutely love my new phone just what I wanted to replace my old A70
My previous phone was a Samsung so I was used to how it operates. Therefore the transition was easy. The data transfer was easy and it missed very little.
Storage is tremendous. It’s easy to see the screen when outside and the operating system is good. When away from Wi-Fi and connected to 5g data downloads are fast. As a non business user this phone is more than adequate for my purposes.
Being in my 70s I wasn’t up for the S23 or i14. My OnePlus7 screen was getting redder by the day sadly.
So I bought the A34 the processor is fast the battery amazing which it lasts me 2 days.
Swopping from a Google phone back to a Samsung meant the Apps needed logging into again. Seems
Samsung want to manage passwords too.
The quality is excellent my only moan is it is thicker & heavier. Overall it’s great quick phone & great value for money.
I chose this phone over a much more expensive Samsung ‘S’ model because it has all the functionality I need and it takes a micro sd card.
It’s a nice phone.
A34 5G 256GB 8GB RAM is an excellent phone for the price I paid. Bought it when it was a Prime Day special offer for 299. Long lasting battery & all other features & specs as described. I am very happy with my purchase
There is no charger and charging cable was not usb, both the ends were same for phone side connection. Not usb
No one likes to change phones & brands, with much to sort out as oart if the process. However so far, the transfer of Apps & data has worked quite well, the battery life is impressive, and the A34 is fast & friendly. Still got a lot to sort & try, so maybe updates to follow
Great phone as always from Samsung and great service as always from Amazon at a great price with special offer too.
I did a lot of research before upgrading to another mid range phone and am very glad I went with this one. Battery life is excellent, nice screen, feels snappy even though it only has 6gb ram and it has a microSD slot so you can get a cheap 512gb card and have tonnes of storage. If you are some huge gamer this probably isn’t the phone for you but if you just use it for general browsing etc then I’m sure you’ll find it more than good enough.
Btw if you are unsure about buying one I recommend reading the gsmarena review for further clarity.
A best buy to upgrade old mobile phone without going overboard on top of the range options/technical developments etc. One important point to mention is the requirement of a UK standard charging wire – the one provided does not fit to the UK usual USB socket points !!!!!
Everything what you expected from good quality phone for this price It’s light and has brilliant scree
So far so good, this phone has exceeded my expectations, this one was for my wife and I’ve now picked one up.
Both got the 8gb/256gb model, the 256 is cheaper than the 128 model at the moment so it’s a.no brained to go for the larger storage.
Battery life is great, software is smooth and the camera is OK in good light.
For 300 including vat and 4 years of support this really is an easy choice for a business or work phone.
Lots of cases available and I’ve added screen protectors to both handsets as samshng don’t fit them.
Great screen is a bonus, and yes in a case from the back it looks like an s23+ if that matters to you.
Simply an excellent package when taking the specs and the update policy into account.
Before this I had , still have, a realme gt2 pro, this was bought for the specs but the battery life is so poor its now relegAted to a spare .
Read some of Amazon reviews and they made me think twice….for a while. Made my decision to buy from reading online reviews on other sites. I was not disappointed. Phone is great in all respects, in my opinion. My previous phone was the samsung galaxy A21s and the difference is amazing. Quick response with tapping and swiping screen ( even with screen protector fitted ). Sound is great ( some mention low call volume, but I have not experienced this and when on speaker phone it is very loud ), maybe they have not adjusted all volume settings in the settings option. I waited a while to buy as was not really interested in the buds, and got it for 100 reduction on the current price. Screen is really clear and sharp, even with the natural setting as opposed to vivid. Battery lasted first time over two days ( I only use it for messaging and calls, with some web surfing ), now it’s regularly getting around two days of battery life. I am really pleased with the purchase and would honestly say it is a great buy from Amazon. I would say to anyone considering a purchase, take some of the reviews with a pinch of salt and judge for yourselves. In my opinion it’s a recommendation, for a great mid range phone.
Great price especially with the buds included. I’ve gone from my 4yr old S10 to this and I’m really pleased. Biometrics work great, camera very good, I don’t use games on my phone but do use maps regularly …. the battery still has 38% after 24hrs use. Processor keeps everything up to speed, I’m surprised at how good 5G is. The build quality is very good, screen is clear and handles films etc with ease. Would recommend
As far as I can tell, this does everything I want.
Camera better than expected.
Low in call volume disappointing but solved with a booster app
Wifi calling a godsend
