Writing review after a week of use. First impressions are very good indeed. Beautifully thin and light. Nice build quality – looks more expensive than it is. Bright sharp screen – looks better than a normal 1920 x 1080, maybe due to the OLED? The s-pen stylus (not included) is the best I’ve tried for writing or drawing on screen. Very flexible with the 360 hinge, so can be used as a tablet as well as free-standing. There are good options for integration with other Samsung products – extending the screen from your phone, for example.
I have it on the ‘throttled’ setting not because of battery life, but because the fan kicks in quickly, perhaps an effect of the thinness? It works fine for what I do. If you were doing cpu heavy tasks or graphics work, I can imagine you would need the settings on max and then it would get a bit hot and noisy. I could knock a star off for that, I guess, or for the Samsung bloatware, but so pleased with it so far I think it’s worth 5 stars in spite of the flaws.
Seems ok enough but it’s a present for my daughter. It gets how and the unexpectedly noisy fan kicks in even when idle (and I’m an IT professional so investigated the cause thoroughly with no resolution). It’s also filled with bloatware and nagware e.g. McAfee AV though this is not unexpected given it’s a Samsung product.

If you are looking for small and compatible laptop and you are in search of optional laptop for macbook then it’s a best choice to go for. However, battery is not that powerful as MacBooks. It would last long around 5-6 hours in normal use. If you are light users then it would be the best choice to go for.

Simple to set up and get going. It’s battery is okay, I find it will last 3 to 4 hours using the Samsung smart battery feature.
