Bought for an Insta360 One RS camera as it can go up to 5.7k video resolutions. It’s a decent capacity for that kind of use (at least for an amateur like me) and the speed is excellent as a U3 card. So very happy with this purchase.
I bought this for my GoPro hero 12. It is quality and it is fully compatible. It comes with a larger adaptor.
This memory card is huge and unless you are recording super high quality or a long time, will be more than enough.
All my memory cards are by Sandisk as they have never let me down, this card was bought for my new DJI Pocket 3, have tested it and it works with no issues, good quick speed for 4K video as well, cost of memory cards vary, and for a 256GB card it was good value from a brand I trust. Would recommend.
I’ll be comparing this to the cheaper SanDisk Ultra card of the same capacity, in which, the Extreme PRO card gets a much better sequential write performance (74.2mb/s compared to 24.5mb/s of the cheaper card), but practically identical sequential read performance, however, when performing random IO (QD1, 4k blocks), the cheaper Ultra actually beats the Extreme PRO with quite a significant margin with 827 WIOPS & 275 RIOPS to the Extreme PRO’s 624 WIOPS 208 RIOPS.
In short, the Extreme PRO will be a upgrade for those who are using the card in a video camera that requires the higher sequential writes offered by the Extreme PRO, or for those who copy large files to the SD card, but for those who are mostly reading from the device, or those who plan to use the card with a games console or single board computer, I’d advise saving your money with the Ultra card of the same capacity.
I recently purchased the SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO microSDXC card, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The transfer speeds of up to 200 MB/s are outstanding, making file transfers incredibly quick and efficient. It handles 4K video recording and high-resolution photos effortlessly, making it perfect for my GoPro and drone footage.
The included SD adapter is a great addition, providing versatility for use with different devices. The RescuePro Deluxe software offers peace of mind with its file recovery capabilities, which is a fantastic bonus.
Overall, the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC card is a reliable and high-performance storage solution. It’s perfect for anyone needing fast, large-capacity storage for their devices. Highly recommended!
For my dashcam, bikecam and CCTV storage I purchased micro SD cards specifically billed as highly resilient and rugged and reliable. Well, in my experience so far they are not. Seem to have issues with all of them. The dashcam keeps telling me there is an issue and to reformat (which I have done a number of times). My bikecam records for about 10 to 15 minutes then turns itself off. After contacting the vendors both said it was the SD cards. I was sceptical but purchase this SANDisk extreme Pro for my bikecam. Absolutely no issue from the getgo. So I purchased another for my dashcam. So far it has worked perfectly. No prompt to format. These are not silly expensive so are my go to card from now on.
I’ve been using these for a while, in tablets, GoPro, drones etc.. and they deal with everything that is thrown at them. I have no issues on maximum quality for an extended amount of time e.g. 5 hours recording an event on a GoPro (with external power and added cooling fan). The SD adapter is very useful when I’m using the laptop.
Good cards. Always ensure the cards you buy from Amazon and ‘sold by’ Amazon to ensure they are genuine. As ever these are good and hold up. Good quality and genuine cards. Being used with the DJO OSMO POCKET 3 and handling 4K50P footage with ease. Good fast transfer speeds and the cards come with adaprets too.
I purchased these for my work where we use go-pro cameras to record our practical activities before writing up our findings from experiments, best practice etc.
As you’d expect from SanDisk, they’re a highly reliable non-volatile memory and they’re V30 chips so high reliability and sufficiently fast for recording 4K video on our Hero 8 and Hero session cameras.
Just be aware to check your device first because some older cameras or mobile devices may only accept up to a certain memory capacity, but this was not a factor for me.
These cards come with an adapter in the packaging, so can be installed as an SD card or as a microSD card as intended.
Though I cannot yet comment on longevity and read/write cycles, I’ve got old SanDisk cards from over a decade ago which still work, so I’ve no concerns there.
In summary, a quality high-performance memory card at a reasonable price point. Always buy quality and avoid the cheaper less known brands when it comes to your memory card needs.
Long term Sandisk user , I think in about 10 years I’ve only had one card corrupt itself
This card is fantastic if recording 4k UHD , very fast read write , no loss of quality.
I’ve used this particular card in a day’s photo shoot in a very humid indoor environment, while my camera shut down the card remained functioning and didn’t lose data .
Last time on holiday I have bought SanDisk 128GB Extreme (NOT Pro). It was great for my insta360x2 4k@50fps footage. Meanwhile I have read about quality on Inst360 cameras, and the best quality is to shoot at 5K@25fps (max for X2) and if you do not care about 50 or 60 fps then this is the mode you should set in your Insta360X2. To the point. I bought couple of these Extreme Pro cards before my last week holiday and set my I360x2 for 5k@25 (remember? best quality!) These cards could keep up easily with recording my footage. However Extreme cards (NOT Pro) were not good enought as my X2 was showing “Card too slow” and ending recording after few minutes. Conclusion: x2 – 4k@50fps [(get SanDisk Extreme),lower quality footage]; x2 – 5k@25fps [get SanDisk Extreme Pro), higher quality footage]. If you want to record 5k@25fps SanDisk Extreme cards are too slow, get PRO
Compatible with my Samsung tablet, works smoothly and great value for money. Only had for a day, so time will tell in terms of durability and longevity; but no complaints as of ye
I never ever leave reviews for SD cards as they just mostly do what they need to do. If you know your spec’s you just source them as cheap as you can. Anyway this things was 12 for a 256gb ultra sd that can stream 4k silky smooth is a winner. I will only buy sandisk due to the rock solid reliability. In 10 years+ I’ve never had an error with one. Great speedy service as you would expect and thankfully not packaged like a pass the parcel Birthday special.Highly recommended
Bought to use in my Insta 360 x3. What can I say. It works perfectly in the Insta and I have had no issues in reading or writing to this memory card.
Can’t believe how fast this is for such a small memory card. I use it in my Nikon Z30 using the supplied free adapter, the U3 spec allows me to record 4k video no problem at all. I was sceptical about using the adapter at first, expecting it to reduce the cards performance, but quite the opposite. Top notch performance, and I’ll be buying another for a backup, they’re a bargain for the amount of storage and speed. Highly recommended.
Use a few of these for action cameras and drone footage. Never had an issue with one yet. The specifications on these particular ones are high and they are much more affordable now.
I’ve bought several of these from Amazon and have never been disappointed, very reliable and always 100% genuine cards. I use them in my drone and handheld video camera and they work great, and the free recovery software is great too (although hopefully never need it!).
I have been using the SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO microSD card with my DJI Mavic Air 2 drone, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. This card is an absolute game-changer when it comes to recording 4K videos at 60fps.
The speed and reliability of this microSD card are remarkable. It effortlessly handles the demands of recording high-quality 4K footage, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted recording experience. The write speed of the card is exceptionally fast, and I have never experienced any lag or dropped frames, even during intense filming sessions.
One of the standout features for me is how well this card complements my DJI Mavic Air 2 drone. The compatibility is seamless, and the card’s capacity is more than sufficient to capture hours of stunning aerial footage. I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing I have ample storage space without compromising on video quality.
The build quality of the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSD is also worth mentioning. It feels robust and durable, which is crucial for a drone enthusiast like me who often ventures into different environments. Whether it’s soaring through the skies or facing more challenging conditions, this card has held up exceptionally well.
In conclusion, the SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO microSD card has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Its exceptional speed, reliability, and compatibility with my DJI Mavic Air 2 make it an essential companion for anyone serious about capturing breathtaking 4K aerial videos. I highly recommend this microSD card to fellow drone enthusiasts and videographers — it’s a true game-changer!
These are usually around 70-80 so finding them at 20-30 is a steal!
Tips for Christmas/Present Buyers:
– These can handle 4k Filming if using with a camera.
– The “extreme pro” is similar to the “extreme” however it has faster read/write speeds. Its quicker to copy files, load/ view files etc.
– The “extreme” also handles 4k but I’ve found that they are usually a similar price if there are offers on. The “extreme pro” for 30 is much better value.
– The other one you will come across if you are present shopping is the “Ultra” this one can’t shoot 4k video, only 1080p and has slower speeds than the 2 mentioned above.
Hope this helps any Christmas shoppers!
Top quality SD card for use in action cameras and drones for when you want high picture quality and top speed read/write performance. I have used these for years and they’ve never failed me. This seller has them at a bargain price and with Prime delivery next day, first class service.
I ordered these to use with my new Insta 360. I already have so many Cards from SanDisk. It is important to buy from a trusted seller. I have bought so many from eBay and realised that they are fake. I have ultimate confidence in buying from Amazon and I am sure that these will be exactly as good as the ones that. I have bought previously. These really are the premium accepted brand for all photography and video ography and vloggers out there. So don’t cut corners and spend a little bit more money and buy a product from a recognised manufacturer like SanDisk. If the data that you record is important to you and the photos that you’re taking need to be kept safe, then SanDisk is the only choice. I only use SanDisk an for the for the extra money these extreme Pro cards Are the right choice for anybody recording 4K from drones or cameras Because of the fast write speeds, that’s the thing to look for.
Fantastic card for use with a DJI MINI 3 pro drone. I tend to buy 64gb cards in case I get a fly away or it crashes into water – this means that if I lose data, it won’t be everything. I know some people recommend 512gb cards – but if I used one of these and I lost my drone, that’s a lot of data to lose! Smaller cards reduce the risk (albeit a little more expensive).
Write and read speed are great and I’ve not had any issues shooting 4k HQ video at 30 FPS. This gives about 2 hours of footage per card – more than enough!!
SD adaptor comes in the box, so easy transfer from drone to PC/Mac.
Do yourself a favour and get a few of these and pop them in your drone bag, just in case you leave one in the computer during transfer.
These are pretty much as good as it gets, if you need a fast microSD card, it’s as simple as that. For use-cases like action cameras, samplers etc., they’re ace.
Make sure to re-format them with the SD Association formatter (a free download, google it) as it can make a real difference to latency.
If you need a card for a continuously-writing application like a dashcam, I’d suggest buying specific high endurance cards. I tend to buy the Samsung Pro Endurance cards for this, which are reliable and good value. However, for applications where performance is the main requirement, these have become my default choice for a reason. Every now and then, I try other brands and lines, benchmarking obsessively, but these remain unbeaten.
When buying, have a think about how much space you need and look at the price per gigabyte. There are often value “sweet spots”, which can give you better bang for buck. In any case, the Sandisk Extreme PRO (crazy name, crazy guy) still represent reasonable value for what they are. Very much recommended.
