Bought this when I had been given an SD card I hadn’t currently had a port for on my PC or any other connectors/card readers I owned. I highly recommend these for variety SD cards, I will recommend this (and have) to anyone who needs a wider range of options for SD cards

From time to time when Microsoft forces one of its compulsory ‘upgrades’ on me, then I can no longer plug in and download images from, say, a camera. This card reader has enabled me to use one simple device to read cards from. I always now use the reader for downloading images to my PC/laptop and not the original device. This is one big advantage.
The other is that, generally speaking, downloading images to my PC is quicker from this reader that it is by using the original device that recorded the images.
I hope it works for you as well as it has for me.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBeikell 4 in 1 USB C & USB 3.0 Card Reader Adapter
The Beikell card reader comes packed in a small colour printed box, the device is inside in a plastic packet. There is also a user guide which is quite comprehensive.
The card reader is a fairly small unit with the USB C plug on a generous (nearly 50cm) length of lead. The connecting plug is a USB A type and a USB C converter is also moulded onto the end of the lead. The Beikell reader accepts both SD and micro SD pattern cards, the SD socket can also accept MMC type cards, and there are sockets for Compact Flash and Memory Stick cards.
I have recently wanted to clone some Micro SD cards and I already have several card readers, many of which claim to be able to read and write to the inserted cards simultaneously but don’t, in fact, they only recognise the first card that is inserted. However, this Beikell card reader works perfectly. Of course, I had to put one of the Micro SD cards into a standard SD converter but that was all.
I also use the Beikell reader for transferring files to a 3D printer using a Raspberry Pi 4b SBC to run Octoprint. Having access to two cards speeds things up when making alterations to a design as I can easily copy files between the cards in one go. The previous method required copying files to the PC, swapping cards and then back again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI recently had the opportunity to test the Beikell 4-in-1 Dual Connector USB C & USB 3.0 Card Reader, and I must say that its performance and quality completely surpassed my expectations. This compact and versatile device allows for the simultaneous reading of up to four memory cards, making it the perfect companion for photographers, videographers, and data enthusiasts.

What sets this card reader apart from others on the market is its ability to support both USB C and USB 3.0 connections. Whether I needed to connect it to my latest laptop or an older computer, the Beikell Card Reader effortlessly managed to establish a stable and reliable data transfer. The device is backward compatible, so no matter the system requirements, you can count on smooth and efficient usage.

The build quality of the Beikell Card Reader is exceptional. Made from durable materials, it feels sturdy and capable of withstanding regular use without any signs of wear and tear. The compact size ensures that it easily fits into any bag or pocket, making it a convenient accessory for those constantly on the move.

When it comes to performance, this card reader truly shines. With its support for multiple memory card formats, including SDHC, SDXC, MicroSD, and more, I was able to read and transfer data between various cards in a matter of seconds. The inclusion of SD and microSD card slots allows for easy and simultaneous access to different card types, saving time and eliminating the need for multiple card readers.

Additionally, the data transfer speeds were impressive, thanks to the USB 3.0 compatibility. Even with larger files, the Beikell Card Reader managed to maintain a swift and uninterrupted transfer process, ensuring that I could quickly access and work with my data.

In terms of compatibility, the Beikell Card Reader works flawlessly with both Windows and Mac operating systems. I appreciate the convenience of not having to install any additional drivers or software before being able to fully utilize the card reader’s features.

Overall, I highly recommend the Beikell 4-in-1 Dual Connector USB C & USB 3.0 Card Reader for its exceptional quality, outstanding performance, and versatility. Whether you are a professional photographer or simply a casual user in need of a reliable memory card reader, this product exceeds expectations. Invest in this device, and you won’t be disappointed!

This is great. I wanted to get photos off my camera onto a laptop with a USB-c connection and this worked perfectly from the moment it was unpacked. Turned up quickly too.

I have a Chromebook that does not have an SD card slot, so this was handy.

Tested it with a microSD and a larger SD card, worked immediately out of the box.

    Build quality seems good too

Easier to use because it has a cable connection than one that plugs directly into the usb port as that type often means that the next port is blocked and can’t be used at the same time.

My old card readers need an adapter to connect usb-c, this plugs straight in. An added bonus is i can put in sd micro cards direct and also in an adapter at same time so moving files from one to the other very easy.

Clear instructions & simple to use. I was able to use this device to access & transfer content saved on memory cards found recently. It was so wonderful to discover photos & videos of family members who are no longer with us.

I bought a secondhand 27″ iMac for very little money but the SD slot was dead, so I got this. It accepts all sorts of cards although it seems that everyone is converging on SD/micro SD these days. The reader transfers image files fast enough for my purposes. One further advantage to this reader; the iMac SD slot was around the back, which wasn’t convenient anyway.

My big computer doesn’t have a card slot. I was given a card with photos on it and had no means of downloading. This little box did the trick. I also used it to download photos onto an photo frame which only took micro cards. Job done.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m far enough down the road to own a collection of technology which uses storage methods which are no longer commonly supported. I had some photos stored on a compact flash card used in a camera which lacked USB connectivity and a micro-SD card which would not respond in either my phone or tablet. I used this to access my old photos and confirm that the micro-SD card was no longer functional. Neither my desktop, nor my laptop accommodate memory cards of any description and this compact card reader allows me to add that functionality. despite not being listed as compatible with Windows 11 it worked immediately, with any inserted memory card being displayed as a USB storage device. One thing I particularly like is the addition of the attached USB-C adapter. Initially I doubted that I would ever need or use the adapter, however I have been using it to transfer documents and photos to my Android phone and it allows me to keep my laptop USB-A ports free for other devices. In an age of remote digital storage I found it useful to have the ability to access my older storage technology which lacks that function.

it won’t let me choose the folder i want to save to or rename photos so it’s not always easy to find the photos on my computer after. There IS an option to select the destination but it ignores me. I can’t be bothered to return it and get a better one.

I bought this item to replace one I bought a few years ago in the Maplin close down sale. The Maplin item was very fussy about the cards it would recognise. If a memory card was not formatted in a format Windows understood it would be ignored which made it impossible to write cards for use with my Raspberry Pi hardware. I actually thought that this was the USB interface was getting in the way, because all cards plugged into laptop built-in readers which were interfaced via their native SPI interface were recognised. My latest laptop does not have a built-in reader and so I was stuck until I bought this Beikell device which recognises all cards regardless of format. So the problem was the old card reader and nothing to do with the USB interface. Consequently, I am very pleased with this product.

I bought this as a replacement for a more costly card reader that didn’t work, this one however did exactly what it was supposed to, simple to use and just what I needed for a good price.

Had a bit of an intermittent USB connection issue which to be fair may be two of the comps USB connectors rather than the unit. But having tried other connections all are a bit loose so I think the unit connector is a wee bit undersized.

The advantage was it has an alternative plug in so will fit old and newest Kindles.
    Worth the money

A good quality card reader that takes 4 types of memory cards. It doesnt’t takes Microdrive or xD cards which is unfortunate as I have an old Fuji S3 Pro that uses those cards.
What I like about this reader is that it can read 4 cards simultaneously.
