Buy a Sekonda, it will fill you with gladness! said Suggs once upon a time. Not far from the truth. Great quality watch at affordable price. Watch strap is a bit on the small size, so those with a thicker wrist may struggle with it.
Great looking watch and is easy to read both day and night which is what I needed for my job.It does have some weight to it but in a good way as Im hoping that will mean its robust enough for outdoor work,minor knocks etc.The bezel doesn,t move but for most of us thats not going to be a problem. If you really do need that sort of watch where “minutes count” then its going to be a higher end Sekonda you want.The strap looks and feels good but time will tell so can,t really comment on that yet.I didn,t get any instructions with it but Im sure their out there somewhere on the net and as per other reviews its not difficult to get going.
Watch is great in terms of overall looks. People seem to complain about the strap size. I dont get this as it has loads of holds in the strap so unless you have popeye wrists I think you are all good. Downside the day part on the watch does not change but the date does. I returned the watch and got another but same issue so just living with it.
Looked a lot more expensive, excellent value for money. Arrived earlier than expected. Can’t fault anything about it, watch face, strap etc all good sizes. Bought as gift and recipient was very pleased
As a person who has several watches I wanted a blue one.
Saw this and took a punt,and while it’s not a Rolex it’s cheap and cheerful and looks the part.

The watch is easy to read in the dark. I often get comments about how good it looks..
I didn’t like the plastic strap that came with it so bought a leather strap which really sets it off.
I bought this watch recently, I just wanted a reasonably cheap watch for everyday use.
Other reviews have said that the day and date function didn’t work and initially I found this to be the case and even sent a request for my money back.
However I liked the watch so much I decided to see what was happening with the day and date function. The reason it’s tricky is that the day function has both English and French options. So to get the watch set up correctly you have to wind the clock forward through both the English and French days to get to the day you want, for example Monday is followed by Lundi etc.
The date function again is tricky. Basically you pull the winder fully out to allow to set the day as described above, and I found if you put you finger nail under the winder and closed it, this half way setting allows you to set the date.
You might think it’s a lot of faffing around for a watch, and I agree it is. But I like the watch so much it was worthwhile.
My Autistic Son asked for a blue watch for Christmas. This watch was perfect in its colour and simplicity, (told the time and date – he does not like more than that from a watch). I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, gift box and delivery service. Top item. Will definitely use this seller again.
Nice watch clear face, good price. Only complaint is that the strap isn’t very long. Just managed to fix on the second hole and only just goes into the strap around the watch strap. I would say my wrist is normal size , never had an issue with other straps.
The ticking is almost completely silent which is a great consolation for anyone wanting an analogue watch but has been driven mad (like me) by the loud ticking of timex models.
The dial is luminous even though the description does not state this.
The manual cannot be found on the sekonda website though it is a fairly easy to navigate watch.
It is a good looking watch, appears more valuable than it is without being unrightly flashy and has a clean simple design.
The strap is perhaps the best bit. It is rubberised and so does not slide on the wrist even when not majorly tightened so it is a very comfortable and stable watch. can be worn constantly (even at night since the quiet ticking)
Bought this as my working watch, amazing value for money.
It isn’t a proper divers watch although the stated 50m water resistance should be good for most contacts with water. The bezel is fixed as you would expect at this price.
I like the feel of the silicon strap much nicer than the plactic ones I’ve had before.
It looks good and being quartz will I’m sure remain accurate.
n.b. Sekonda is a UK company and they are not made in Russian.
Looks great, easy to change time and date, and feels very comfortable. Well worth the very reasonable price!
Top tip: Have a wee look in the bottom of the box and you’ll find the loops for tucking the strap in! I was about to complain!
Bought the blue one as it was almost half the price of the green one. I always liked SEKONDA watches, and this one is terrific. Easy to read, looks OK, not necessarily hugely expensive looking but not cheap looking either. It feel light on the wrist and easy on the eye.
Cannot beat it for value and it’s an uncomplicated watch, no fiddly buttons to adjust, just tells the time and the day and date are easy to read.
This is a nice watch in green, it’s solid, water resistant & most importantly it tells the time!
I must add that the strap on this is rather small in length so if you’ve got large wrists or even medium sized you’ll be taking a chance, other than that it’s an alright watch.
I bought this Sekonda watch for my Brother’s 70th Birthday. He loves it! It is smart, a comfortable strap, date setting and an attractive face. Such good value for money. Highly recommend.

Sekonda is perhaps one of those brands you might have found in a branch of Ratners back in the 1990s, but the designs and quality are certainly worth talking about. This is my second recent foray into the world of Sekonda – my first purchase being one of the chronograph watches.
The Balearic features the quite common non-rotating bezel that you’ll find on a lot of watches at this price point but features a simple but eye-catching design and a day/date function. No issues with the second counter being out of alignment and the rubber strap is quite decent, sporty and just right for summer.
The strap is lightweight and quite flexible, as well as being quite thick. The watch itself is quite weighty as a budget watch, and the strap being so light almost feels out of place but when worn it just works.
If you want a good looking and reliable watch, something that you don’t have to worry about too much but that still has the potential to get people asking about it then the Balearic is a good option. You really can’t go wrong for the price.
This watch feels premium, fits very well on my wrist, quality is very good, materials used in it are good and feels honest, Japanese movement. I think Seiko inside.
Daily worn it everywhere and bought it to save my expensive watches from scratch, miss use and rough use. Secondly I want a cheap watch that looks good and goes with my Levi’s jeans, blue in particular.
Overall the best watch, cheap seiko, looks good feels light and beautiful, spot on
One thing, i also feel is that this watch grew on me very will as it was a very cheap purchase, this means value to money.
Lastly, a problem, the day display, is not changing on my unit, maybe it’s my unit only or all of them I don’t no but it’s not a deal breaker as it’s under 2 years warranty
The conventional dial is a large and easily readable. The day & month display was what I also wanted & the winder is protected from knocks with the twin lugs. Decent watch.
Further,,,The packaging the watch was delivered in was open at one end,,,,fortunately the watch box was jammed tight ,otherwise it could so easily have been lost in transit,.,.,IF ,,anybody else has bought this watch and experienced a lose minute hand then it is a fault with this model,,,,,if nobody has experienced this,,,,,,then I was unlucky,,,,..
