Found the item very easy to set up. Fairly easy to understand how to use, but have to press a few options ti understand the camera options. Would have been usefull if came with a few more general user guides
Very easy to install and connected through the App in a matter of minutes. The quality of the image in the App is excellent and captures my entire back garden. For the price a very good security camera which is much needed in this day and age
The product was easy to setup and the image is really good
Highly recommend, bought 4 and will be purchasing more!
Easy enough to set up and access!
Works well, sometimes needs a restart to access the RTSP feed.
Very easy to put up and the instructions were not hard to understand, very clear picture.
I bought this camera purely for live view reasons only, so cant rate it’s recording abilities or motion detection i’m afraid. If you intend to use this with an Echo show, I found that there was a delay of around 12 seconds in the live feed…. however, using the manufacturers app the live view is almost spot on to the second. Also, note that if you hope to follow youtube instructions and make this camera automatically show a live view on your echo show when it detects movement, then I’m afraid that isn’t an option either as it doesn’t allow this. I leave the live view on the app on my phone then return to the home screen – so that when the door knocks we can open the camera app which refreshes the view at great speeds (around 2 seconds) so that we know if it’s our nightmare neighbour before answering. For that purpose I absolutely love this little camera!! For 24 delivered, what more can you ask? 🙂
amazing camera, reasonable price and what is very important: very prompt and professional customer service. High recommend and this camera and this company! Happy castomer.
Superb quality camera with super a clear image, both day and night. The motion sensor can be a little sensitive, even on its lowest setting and will send notifications every few minutes. It would be handy if there was a ‘snooze’ option. Overall love it.
Easy to install, configure is also ok, tricky but ok. Image is good, a short delay on image – reality but for this price, very good one to have.
Good camera for the price, customer service is also fantastic! We had an issue and they replied instantly and got their engineering team to resolve it so much faster then expected!
I wasn’t sure if this would work well when I bought it, but I have now purchased a second one!
We use these to make sure our chickens are all in and safe in the hen house at night, with one outside the coop to keep an eye out for “Mr Fox” and to keep an eye on the ‘girls’ while we are at work. ( The camera (needs mains power to work but not for the wifi) has been placed inside the Hen House which is about 20 metres away from our main house and although signal strength to wifi shows as low, it still works really well. We now have another outside the chicken house covering their free-range pen area, and this works well too. You can ‘invite’ up to three family members FREE to watch the camera’s on their smart phones, and the grandkids love being able to keep an eye on the girls wherever they are in the world.
1) Easy to set up
2) App (Play store/apple) works very well
3) Writen set up instructions are easy, in good English, and a breeze to follow.
I don’t often write reviews, and I do only when something exceeds my expectations and this does!
Brilliant quality images, easy set up, and great value for money. I HIGHLY recommend this wifi Camera, and have NO connection to the company and have not been asked by anyone to write this review and have done so under my own free will. Thanks you Septikon, will be buying more!
The Septekon p30 white is replacing a Tapo one that has gone faulty.what a good buy installed very quick .picture quality excellent. Night vision is what i manly bought it for to see the wild life in our garden ,it does the job 100% .recorded on to a mini sd card to work on movement only it picked up 2 badgers and a younge fox to night .got it nxt day after ordering.
Well packed very happy with it 5sta
great camera, easy setup, works well, but has no continues record to sd card, which i find disappointing. It does record 24/7 for the motion detection though, rtsp function allows you to use other software too, or even watch in a browser. The app is quite good too, works ok with alexa, but does buffer after a few hours and needs resetting to fix. If not for these small issues, it would be 5 stars.
To record 247, (all the time , not just motion) you have to subscribe, at around 10 a month, this should be stated in description at least. But should be added to software, as i own this camera, and the sd card.
I bought these as a pair decided to put one up today 8/5/23 they are easy to use and install the only thing I found to b a problem is the power cables are usb type which r not big enough to secure them properly through wall I’ve had to put it through the window so it would be easier if I could buy a proper charging cable for them both
Bought on the basis of the product reviews and so far its working well. Could do with a more comprehensive instruction leaflet. Beware looking for the app as on Playstore I was taken to another app to download – which surprise, surprise didn’t work. Having got the right one I followed the online instructions and eventually got it set up. Good daylight picture and very sensitive motion direction so only operate that when you need to or you will pick up cars and pedestrians at all times. As mentioned above the camera gimble could do with more adjustability, otherwise we’ll see how durable it is.
Was very easy to set up and gives you multiple ways on doing so if you find it difficult.
Camera quality is also surprisingly good, I can see license plates from about 20ish ft away and the voice control on it work better than expected but not very loud.
It does picks up audio very well day and night tho at high winds that’s all you can hear and listening to anything else is impossible at this time.
Overall its worth the price of 30 and would recommend it to anyone.
This review is for the Septekon 757JBU CCTV camera.
I bought two of these together and have spent a fair bit of time with them now. They’re great for the price (assuming sub 30) but do have some limitations depending on how you plan on using them.
I don’t / haven’t tried their online storage nor do I use the app (unless they act and need resetting). I use these cameras with some other brands with iSpy to provide community CCTV for myself and neighbours. The camera’s do support RTSP, they don’t support ONVIF and it does require an internet connection to initially configure.
You will need their app to setup a camera – the network it will eventually join does not need to have a permanent internet connection but does require internet access to first add them. Once they are connected, the app allows you to easily set the username and password and even gives you the RTSP address. All in all, setup was a bit of a pain but if you’re working with RTSP it isn’t overly difficult to get working. If all you’re going to do is leave one or around the home and will stay on your own Wifi, the app does a reasonable job of managing and viewing streams.
In terms of stability, they seem very susceptible to vehicle traffic – too many cars go past and you’ll start dropping frames left and right – in my case there is maybe 3m between one of these and the Access Point. Using an ethernet connection does resolve this. I also find one of them will occasionally drop connection and refuse to work until I reset it – to do this, you will require physical access to the button.
The image quality for it’s price it Ok – nothing to shout home about but visibility within around 40-50ft of the camera will be good enough quality, anything outside of this and you might struggle. This does drop a little in night vision, with footage only being usable within 10-20M; while you can “see” 80ft out, the quality isn’t good enough to make the footage usable / you certainly wouldn’t be able identify a person.
Providing I could get each camera for around 25, I would purchase again.
