Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThe range is poor, something around 25 metres max in outdoor. Battery life is also short but you can’t cheat yourself and expect perpetum mobile performance. It is as solid as the liver of a daily drinking 25-year-old student last semester. After buying that toy I considered opening it with my daughter a demolition company . My walls are in pain, my cats are the same, and my feet….The smile of a toddler is priceless.

I bought a pair of these, because sometimes at work, we have slack periods and need to entertain ourselves. We race these up and down the office and make jumps and obstacle courses for them. The controller is tricky to get the hang of, because the wheels run off individual motors and each motor is controlled seperately, like the way a tank is steered. Great fun though and very difficult to get stuck!

Bought this for a birthday present. Great toy but on the first go inside a house, it hit a wall and the wheel snapped off. Considering the toy, it should be better made. Now have one unhappy 6yr old and have to get another.

Edit: customer support were quick to resolve the issue and I’m glad to say the new one is working great.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought for my 5 year nephew for his birthday, him and my other nephew/niece all went crazy over it.

Kids will absolutely love it. Please note it doesn’t come with batteries.

    Well worth the purchase.

    Great value for money.
    Durable / tough.
Fast/ easy controls / charges quickly
I got this as a toy for my dog. She loves to chase it and try to take the wheels off. Which she does manage, but they pop back on easy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis car zooms around and tries to climb up things, easy to perform fun tricks and while away the hours building stunt parks and race tracks for the car. Seems very durable and the battery life is pretty good. The car itself is rechargeable which is a nice touch, charges quickly and is, so far, holding the charge well.

As an added bonus it has not marked my walls or the skirting where it has been driven full pelt into them – is that the design of the car or a lucky break? I don’t mind, I’ll take it.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersThe plan was to buy a couple of these for my niece’s children for Christmas but a lot of the reviews mentioned you had to remove the battery to recharge it which wasn’t really ideal. So I posted the question and most replies agreed that the battery needed to be removed. Significantly the seller also said this. So I thought I would buy one just to try it out anyway and see if it was suitable. And guess what – it has a built in USB socket (Micro-B I think – see photo) making recharging a doddle. Limited trials (spinning round, banging into furniture, etc.) suggest it is quite robust but I intend to test drive it more over the next few weeks. On this basis I have bought 2 more (one green and one red) for the presents and both of these have the USB port as well. One other difference (to answers in the questions) I have noticed is that the USB LED light is solid red whilst charging and solid green when charging is complete. This agrees with the photos in the SGILE blurb so it looks like those being sold now conform to the information on the product page. I’ll try and update this review when I’ve done some more testing (OK, playing then).

5.0 out of 5 stars Well, well, well. It has a USB port!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe reviews are true. My 5 year old loves this car and I especially like it because its rechargeable expect for the remote that needs battery. I only wish it too could be charged via USB. Good buy

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought for my niece who loved it until within a month the wheel came off/broke. Is it possible to get another or a replacement as this didn’t last for long at all! Bought this due to the reviews given now not too sure

I don’t often write reviews but after watching my one year old nephew throw this around… I thought I should… I purely bought it to keep him entertained when he visited, its pretty damn sturdy, amazingly fun, the only downside is what feels like a poorly built control, it’s light, plastic, flimsy and mine came broke on the right side, so the car can only go left.. But it was for a one year old so it didn’t matter, all in all, should the right side work, good little rc car for the price

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought for my teenage son and daughter this christmas to keep them entertained while the adults entered the afternoon food coma. Admittedly I was a little drunk when I ordered them!
So I bought a red one and a green one. As I charged them up I noticed that they were both 2.4ghz and worried that they wouldnt work independently (one controller moves both vehicles) so I was quite relieved when I tested them and they do work individually just fine.
One little niggle for which I have deducted a star is that you need a ph1 screwdriver to open and close the battery compartments. It is also super tight to get the battery in and secure the hatch. Took me a good ten minutes to get it to shut properly! The charger connections to the rechargeable battery is also fiddly.
They didnt actually play with them on christmas day but in the days following it turns out that remote control football is a bit of a time killer! The cars themselves are pretty bombproof and they will run for a good 20mins plus though it does take a few hrs to charge them.
Overall a pretty good purchase. Good value for the money but a little fiddly charging, setting up
