I recently purchased the Sharpening Stone and it has truly transformed my knife maintenance routine! The results are fantastic — my knives are now as sharp as ever. At first, I must admit, it took a bit of practice to get the technique down, but with some patience and persistence, I quickly improved. The stone’s quality is undeniable, and once you get the hang of it, the sharpening process becomes a breeze. My kitchen tools have never been this sharp, and I’m excited to continue honing my skills. Highly recommend this Sharpening Stone to anyone willing to put in a little effort for outstanding results!

I have never used a whet stone before but these were easy to use. They did a great job of sharpening knives i have not really treated very well – i did use a honing steel first to reset them. It does take a while, 5-10 minutes each knife and as i have many to sharpen it took ages but the result was good. The wooden box is lovely but it didnt really fit everything inside so husband sanded it for me.

Really good set of stones!!! I’m sharpening everything in sight without exception. The only downfall is with the white stone, don’t expect it to stay white, or expect to be able to clean it back to white!!! Na. Nothing will clean it so if you a fussy or OCD don’t get them!!! stick to oil stones!!! If you don’t care your then your going to have fun. Woop Woop!!!!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs a ex professional fish monger, this has got to be one of the best stones I’ve used. Even brought my old fillet knife back to a half decent Sharpness. Would definitely recommend.

I like this, its quite pricey compared to other options, but it is very substantial, the sharpener doesn’t move about when your using it as it has a rubberised base.
oh and it sharpens my knives a treat!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJust got into sharpening my knives and this is perfect for the job. I didn’t go by its own instructions as some did and just looked up guides on YouTube. The only difference to note is that this is a soaking stone so leave it fully submerged in water until no bubbles come.up from it.

The base is very well made, just wish it was slightly heavier as I would end up pushing it while sharpening occasionally, and placed a small weight at the end of it to prevent this

These are the first Wetstones I buy and will use for a long time.
Very easy to use especially with the object that is present in the Wooden box and that serves to maintain the right angle, in addition to this there is the stone to level the 2 Wlhetstone which are equipped with non-slip rubber supports!!!

A great water based sharpener. Very simple to use and the edge guide helps get a razor sharp edge. Only ‘problem’ is the times they say it takes to put an edge on the blade. They recommend 20 odd minutes of sharpening. It actually took me about 7- 10 mins. Otherwise the best I have had, very highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for my partner for Christmas as he’s a Gordon Ramsey wannabe… Let me tell you when he opened it this man’s face lit up like Blackpool Illuminations. He was dressed (complete with pinny) faster than the speed of light and sharpening knives before I had even had my Christmas Bacon Butty. I think he likes i

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis stone works quite well, and I used it to finally get my Buck knife into its best sharpness after having never sharpened it since 1980, when my wife gave it to me for Father’s Day. It’s actually the best sharpening stone I’ve ever bought and well worth the modest price. It’s quite easy to use. It’s very sturdy, and the holder makes a large positive difference over stones without such interfaces. I actually love using it. My wife was amused to see me start sharpening all the knives in the kitchen. But not the table or butter knives. Those obviously don’t need to be sharp — but maybe I could do it anyway!

Not that it matters a lot, but the included “guide” that is supposed to help hold the knife at the right angle is virtually useless. If you have a knife without a curve, and of a particular width, it might hold the knife at the correct angle. My Buck knife, for example, is too narrow, and only about a half centimeter of the blade shows when its inserted into the guide. That obviously won’t work.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersAn easy to use whet stone. It arrives well packaged and looking good, one you want to leave on display and not at the bottom of a draw. Leave it to soak for 5 minutes before using ( I dip it in water frequently while using). It comes with a blade guide but this is more for larger blades like carving knives. I trialled the whet stone on a boning knife and found it easy to use , however the stand did slide around a little while but that could have been me being heavy handed. Overall I am well happy with this addition to my knife collection.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMine has a lovely Acacia box, comes with two whetstones (called that because they need whater to make them work properly, lol. ) Water stops them overheating, which will damage the cutting edge. They have a clever guide to make sure you get a good edge for whoever you are using your blade for if you have no knowledge of angles needed. And a stone to make your stones flat again, but if you move the whetstones around and work from different parts of it, this should not be necessary. If you use the grindstone to flatten, again make sure the whetstone is soaked and add water when you do it. It doesn’t tell you anything about this last process in the paperwork included.

My Mam-Gu – my nana – was an SRN and a theatre nurse and sometimes had to shave patients before surgery. She would like to do it in front of the patients, grinding those razors down in front of them and finishing them on a leather strop. She liked the way they had to watch. Says a lot about my Mam-Gu, but she was the lady who taught me how to get a knife as sharp as a scalpel.

This is a great knife sharpener for your kitchen.
I recommend, if you don’t know how to use a whetstone, watch a video on YouTube.
My only criticism is of the nonslip mat provided. It grips the surface unit your worktop is wet.
    We’ll worth the investment.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like this.
I have a cheap Anglo Arms machete, that I used to help clear out my overgrown garden. At the end of this endeavour, my machete was blunt, with chips all along the edge.
With this stone it is now back to being sharp and defined. I’m really pleased with the result.
Do make sure you soak the stone for at least 5 mins as per the instructions. I also had a glass of water to hand and kept splashing the stone’s surface every few strokes – this definitely helped with the finish.
Most of my time (25 mins) was spent on the 1000 side to get the edge back, and then a further 10 mins on the 6000 side to refine it. I could spend more time polishing it, but it’s already good enough now, and I can’t be bothered!
I’m so impressed with this I am going to use it on my (very) expensive Fallkniven NL3 – although this is top quality steel and will take much more effort to get the same result.
I am sure that this stone is up to the task though…

I bought this stone knife sharpener SHAN ZU as i had a bad one previously and it is being used everytime i cook as it is made from very high quality materials which allow me to sharpen my knife with precision and ease. It takes me no time to sharpen it with this one and i love it as it used to take me 5-10 minites. It was packaged nicely and was very easy to get started with using this as instructions were very clear. Another point about this sharpener is that the storage of it is very beautiful compared to anything else as it comes in a acacia wood box. Honestly loving the process of sharpening my knifes again and highly recommend to those who hate their one. Very happy with my purchase and will be cooking more often now.

My kitchen is a happier place with this.

I’m not sure why they put it in that cheap bamboo-looking wooden holder. In my case, that part had clearly been broken and fixed with glue, which I didn’t particularly mind because it’s a complete waste of space, anyway. The stone itself is great.

Really good product for the price, easy to use and works great. My knifes (Japanese Damascus steel) are now super sharp!
Why not 5stars: the base is supposed to be made to grip and hold the sharpener however it is still sliding. The base foot isn’t soft enough to be an antislide.
I would highly recommend this item.

I have owned several wet stones, I have 2 that I use currently (I have broken 1 or 2 as well!)
This was easy to use and provide me with a nice sharp edge on several of my most used chef knives, especially the 2 Santoku blades which I use daily. I would but again when this has worn too much

I watched a video on sharpening technique, they were experts and my first attempts were very good, with sone more practice I got some very good results which i am very happy with, my global knives now have a new very sharp edge, some of my older knives also have a new lease of life, overall it does what it says on the tin…….

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersLovely quality stone and certainly seems to do the job. My only issue is packaging related. Granted this is down to Amazon not protecting it enough, but equally, the manufacturer could have made a stronger outer box for it with much thicker cardboard. You see it arrived damaged but I can’t be faffed with returning it and am quite handy so fixed it. Check out the photo took as soon as I unboxed it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely looking and high quality
