Well made product works well. Yes I would buy again.
he jaws seem a little lose , not sure how it will last but good value for money and easy to use, as a pro plumber it feel this product is value for money and worth purchasing
Just in time to stop a leak!. Such a large head on it i was thankful it fit round water pipes, and arrived the day before the leak happened lol.
Very sturdy and glad to have it in my kit.
Would recommend.
Well made and designed easy to adjust and use. Great for use on pipes and plumming fittings. Comfortable grip makes using the spanner easy and with convienient hanging point on the end. nice addition to my tool set.
This is a useful adjustable spanner to go into the toolbox. I like the big head and the measurements on it. Sits well in the hand.
The issue I have is that the black paint used on it, seems to scratch easily. The pictures show the markings on the spanner that’s before I have used it. It’s only cosmetic but I expect better at this price.
For an adjustable this is okay.
It has a nice wide range in the opening and it is fluid enough when adjusting.
For me it’s not the most comfortable handle to hold and grip with is being narrow and fairly short however I am not a tool box expert. It will definitely come in handy for many a household job or for someone in the trade.
As a very keen DIY’er since my teens, during the later decades I have accumulated an extensive collection of tools for all types of DIY tasks, including an assortment of spanners and wrenches.
I did not, however, have an adjustable wrench with a maximum opening as wide as 50mm, and so, when I saw the Sharp-tec Adjustable Wrench on the Amazon Vine list, I requested the 10″ model which opens that wide.
It is a very well made product, weighty at 520g, but easy to handle, and it has a very comfortable grip. Its overall length of 10″ includes a hanging loop which takes up 1″ of that length.
The jaw has a very smooth opening and closing action, and it is very handy to have a 0mm – 50mm rule to gauge how far the jaws are open. Actually, however, the jaws open slightly past the 50mm mark on the rule, and measuring the width of the jaws revealed that it was 52mm wide.
This Sharp-tec Adjustable Wrench is a most welcome addition to my collection of tools!
Ergonomically sound and robust with versatile wide and narrow jaws and a smooth adjustment mechanism. Finishing issues do mean that it arrived looking like it had spent some time in a toolbox already. Purely cosmetic, but still.
This wrench has a pretty good bit of weight to it for the size , it is really comfy to grip and adjusts nice and smooth, Overall it is a great addition to the toolbox and it might not be cheapest but you get what you pay for as they say and do think this is a good compromise of cheap and expensive.
This adjustable Wrench is ideal for some plumbing work I am currently undertaking. I ordered the 10″ size as it provides a good amount of leverage which is ideal for working with larger plumbing fittings where space is not a big issue. The Wrench is very solidly constructed and has measure scale to indicate the width of the jaw opening which provides a good starting point when working with known sizes with things like radiator tap collars and various other compression joint sizes.
The thumb wheel turns smoothly and jaws stay set to the desired opening width without any unwanted movement while applying sufficient force to undo or tighten a nut or bolt of any size that the jaws will accommodate. The handle also has a loop to enable the wrench to be hung on a hook in a workshop or similar storage area.
The handle is comfortable and provides a good grip while working with stubborn tasks. The overall finish is quite basic, which does not affect the very good functionality of this wrench as it is very sturdy and functions exactly as it should. Recommended.
This handy little adjustable actually surprised me with the grip and quality. It did struggle a bit on smaller bits – and isn’t as good as my Bahco set (which get used daily) – but as a small set it does a job on most everyday plumbing tasks.
Worked perfectly, due to its slimness, in accessing a 32mm nut in a very restricted space under a bath.
Conversion to a pipe wrench is a very useful feature.
The metric scale can also be used as a caliper for general size measurement.
This adjustable wrench looks a bit rough and ready, but it is better than I expected it to be at first glance. It arrives in a plastic envelope, but I found that the envelope had split in a couple of places. The wrench is made from Cr-V, and is well-made and robust. It is comfortable to hold with a covered handle, and I do like the measurement markings, which are always useful. The movement is smooth, with an excellent degree of adjustment, that you really can move a mm at a time. The grip is good.
The thing that sets this wrench apart is width of the jaws, which is unusual. It’s so useful to have something with this range of capacity in your tool box and I can see it being a grab-and-go item.
At the time of writing this review, the cost is 14.99, and although that’s the top end of what I’d usually pay, I think it’s worth it.
Sturdy and serviceable, this wrench bids to be up to all the sort of non-heavy-industry, round-the-house work I shall ever require of it. Plus that ‘sturdiness’ means it’ll be around as long as I am, D.V. i.e. a lifelong helpmate. I’m not really looking for beauty in such workaday servants but for what it’s worth, this tool looks ok too. It’s easy to operate and the grip is good for when dealing with recalcitrant or long-embedded stuff. What more can be reasonably asked of it? A recommended item.
I used this today to tighten the wheels on my new BMX bike , it’s comfortable to hold with a good grip , it is very easy to set the size of the jaws and there is also handy measurements on the adjustable wrench too.
I found it very good quality and did the job well , no jamming or sticking when adjusting the wrench , it moves freely and smoothly, no wobbling like with some cheap adjustable spanners.
This is a welcome addition to the tool box , ideal for the home for occasional jobs but does look good enough to be used professionally too.
It looks more than capable and up to the job for what I will be using it for , as a reliable tool for household DIY and maintenance work around the home.
I requested the small of the two wrenches because all of the other wrenches I have (inherited from my father) are made for use by gorillas. This one is small and neat and perfect for getting into smaller spaces.
The thumbwheel to adjust the jaws works smoothly and the gauge and the jaws is quite clear.
It isn’t the highest quality piece of equipment I’ve ever handled: the finishing is a little bit rough, but it appears to be robustly made and otherwise entirely fit for purpose.
Decent small but heavy duty adjustable wrench. For tightening on to a nut it’s great.
It does have around 0.5mm – 0.75mm of wriggle movement (see my video). If you’re looking for a tool that’s easy to set to a precise size before you approach the nut then you have to push make sure the gap is at it’s widest when measuring.
Just what I needed. We have a scooter that needed a bolt to be fastened and I didn’t have a wrench. I ordered this one but then was worried it might be too small. Lucky for me it works on the widest setting, just about. Pure luck so measure well and order the right one as they go just as far as they do.
This one is also very sturdy – it feels wobbly at first but there is nothing wobbly about the way it works, it keeps all things in place and doesn’t budge. Grand.
It’s a small wrench for the amount it costs. Not to say it isn’t a good tool, because it is. It’s well made and sturdy. But for 20+ it’s a bit much for one tool. I do like the fact that there is a small marker showing you the measurements on one side.
Seems good quality adjust easily and precisely. Does the job. Opens to 50mm which is huge for an ajustable.
The tools I got are great and do the job I need them to do but they arrived dirty and appear to be used instead of new
only used these a few times, not sure of the durability but only time will tell
