Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI put this in my 12 year old granddaughters Christmas Eve box. She played it with her Mum and two other adults who said it was so much fun that they played it for hours!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI wasn’t sure what this game would be like but decided to buy it and it’s really good. We played with our 7year old granddaughter and we all enjoyed playing. You can skip if a young child finds certain subjects harder than others. I would recommend this game

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA great family game. We played on Christmas Day, with ages from 7 to 87 and we all had a great time. Easy and fun to play, must be hilarious if just adults are playing and they’ve had a drink. Elastic bands keep the cards in place when packing away. Try it you won’t be disappointed. I’m ready to play again!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis board game is perfect for the whole family, my son is 7 and he enjoys playing with it. I do get very confused when playing because it is very fast but it is great fun. Clear instructions, easy to learn and to play, sturdy and durable material. Great possibilities.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe enjoy playing games and are constantly on the lookout for new ones. We found Rapid Rumble and are so glad we purchased it!

It was a lot of fun to play with people of various ages (we played with adults and children). It was a lot of fun coming up with responses for each letter, and the categories are fantastic. It was straightforward to put together and learn. This game is great for “gamers” and anyone who wants to laugh and have a good time with people of all ages.

    Great game to spend with.

For anyone that loves general knowledge, trivia games etc, this game is an absolute must have! This is great fun for all the family of all ages.

The game consists of 4 categories (animals, culture, science & nature and things), there are then a large deck of cards that are dealt to each player and these have different letters on which are the only letters you can use to answer the questions. A dice is included to identify the category you will be challenged to and a timer to get as many answers as you can.

This game is fun and will really test your knowledge, I am really happy with this game and it has become a household favourite. Fun and educational.

This is a very fun game. It is aimed at ages 6+ but with a little help children younger than 6 can get involved – help them with their letter identification!

The idea is to get rid of your letter cards by naming answers to questions that begin with that letter. Some of the questions are more aimed at older or more educated people, so if playing with younger children you may want to have a read through the questions beforehand and remove some of the trickier ones. As there is a timer as part of the game it can get very loud very quickly with people shouting out their answers – all great fun. It’s a good concept which can appeal to all ages.

The cards are a snazzy design and it is a professional looking game, I would be happy to give as a gift.

The game is very nice, a bit expensive in my opinion.

Great to keep at home or to give as a gift.

Suitable for 6 years of age and above. I find it a little difficult, though, for 6-year-olds. We played together with my son and for some questions, unfortunately, were a bit difficult for him. In fact, in the next round, we played in pairs. This was a way for him to learn lots of things. I’m sure it will get easier for him as time goes on. This, basically, to say that I personally would raise the age of suitability.

Overall, I am quite happy with this game and I find it a great opportunity to improve children’s knowledge.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe like to play games in the evenings, so I’ve decided to get this one as I never heard about it before and wanted something unique and different (we already have plenty of board games).

This Skillmatics game – Rapid Rumble arrived boxed.

According to the description it is suitable for ages 6 and up.

All items – cards, little clock etc. look of a good quality.

I was sceptical at the beginning as the rules sounded a bit complicated for me, but as soon as we started to play I’ve realised that it is actually quite an easy game.

We played with 3 adults (2 to 5 could play), some categories were very easy, but some would be challenging for younger kids.

I will not explain the rules and how to play on here, as it is quite well explained in the guide which came with the game.

Great game, can be played almost everywhere as not much space is required.

A lot of fun and easy to play.
Excellent for longer or rainy evenings.

Not my favourite game, not the cheapest, but I’m happy we have it in our game collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun and easy to play.

This is a good game to bring the family together as it is engaging and fun. it can be played by a wide age group. Although it seems little kids will struggle but trust me kids’ brains are very fast-paced and they come up with answers much quicker than the adults.
The contents seem well made. I only wish they had provided somewhere to keep the cards as they tend to scatter everywhere. The variation in the categories makes the game more interesting and the power cards add that little bit extra level of excitement.
All in all a great game for a rainy day and equally can be a great gift item as well.

This is simple game, and at first I felt it was a bit overpriced given the simple contents in the box. However, it is a good game to play, especially for the whole family. Fun, taxing, and educational. The game’s rules were mastered very quickly. No batteries, pencils, paper, etc, are required. My only gripe is that the box isn’t great at keeping in the cards tidy.

This is a really fun game to have and play during a small little group party or friends gathering. Both boys and girls too! It’s designed for ages 6+ but as long as the child can read okay, I don’t see why it can’t be a little younger. 2-5 player and each player could be in a group of 2 if wanted. Very easy to play with clear instructions provided within and on the box. Loads of contents within and it makes it addictive trying to work things out before the timer runs out. This is also pretty educational too in a fun way, so could make great use for home learning! Arrived nicely presented and would most certainly make a lovely gift. Unfortunately you’re to grown up to play this game once you reach 100 haha.

We love games in our house and we can all be found often on a lazy Sunday afternoon playing all manner of board games. This one is certainly a hit of all members of the family and is fairly easy to set up and play.

The cards arrived all over the place – the box isn’t the best – but are good quality and easy to use. You have a deck of Letter Card and then 120 category cards of the themes – Discover Animals, Things, Culture, Science and Nature. You basically divide the letter cards between players then roll the dice and throw out answers with your letters depending on the category chosen. First one to get rid of all letter cards wins! It’s fast paced, easy to play and quite funny and quirky with answers that are given.

Not the cheapest at 17.49 with a 15%voucher (at time of reviewing) for what is a basic card game but it is fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rapid Rumble

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersRapid Rumble, a fast pace (loud) game for all ages.
The contents of the game include 120 Category Cards, 100 Letter Cards, 1 Wooden Dice, 1 Sand Timer & Instruction Manual. Everything comes in it’s own slot in the box, but the cards are left to float around under the cut out cover, so I suggest that if the paper sleeves break after time, then contain them using an elastic band.
The object of the game is for the first player to get rid of their deck of letter cards, and you do this by shouting out answers corresponding to the cards you hold and the subject that has been selected. A timer is used, so you know when to stop. You cannot repeat answers in the same round.
There is a selection of power cards in amongst the letter cards, skip (you can lay this at any time the timer is going), vowel (you can use any vowel as your first letter)! And lucky letter (you can shout out any letter).
The instruction booklet is clear and concise and my 4 year old granddaughter picked up the rules straight away, shouting her answers out at the top of her voice.
A great game for rainy days, suitable to give as a gift for any occasion, the box is small enough to take away with you on holidays or visiting friends and family.
    I’m happy to recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fast and LOUD game

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersThis is a simple game to learn. Although the age range is from 6 years, I think it is more suited to playing in a larger family group with a broad range of ages, than younger children playing by themselves. This is primarily because some of the Category Cards can be quite challenging – I’ll explain more about that in a moment. To play the game, you first divide the big pile of Letter Cards up amongst the players (2 to 5 players can join in). Each player keeps a pile infront of them, and three cards in their hand. On your turn you roll the coloured dice and pick a category card of the same colour (green is animals, blue is culture, orange its things, and red is science) and place it in the middle for all to see. Flip the timer and everyone has until the sand runs through to say out loud answers that begin with a Letter Card that they are holding. For example a typical green card might be “An animal found on a farm” and you could place down an “S” card for “Sheep”. When the time runs out play moves to the next player. The first player to get rid of all their Letter Cards is the winner. So back to those catagory cards. It can be fairly straightforward to think of “Something you find on a beach” when you’ve got an “S”, “S” and “B” in front of you. It’s much more of a challenge When you’ve got an “L”, “M” and an “A”. Play does tend to grid to a halt completely when you’re playing with a 6 and 9 year old and you pick up a Category Card that reads “A famous monument” or “A city that is neither in Asia or in Europe” so we tend to keep drawing Category Cards until there’s one we can all answer. When it’s an easier category, it can be fast, funny and clever like it says on description on the box. However, the difficulty spikes do take some of the fun out it when playing with younger children. The box is also a bit of a faff – it completely fails to hold any of the cards neatly in place and you tend to have to sort them out each time you go to play the game.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen opening the box, and reading the few lines of rules, I wasn’t holding much hope of grabbing the family’s interest, but I was wrong. Within the first round everyone was on board and getting into the swing of it. The rules are simple, a dice role points to a topic, which bears a description, and everyone uses the cards in hand to shout out an answer, playing as many cards as possible before the sand timer runs out. The result, screaming shouting, and general arguments over if that’s an object or a brand. The winner is whoever plays all their cards first.
For such a simple game, we all loved it, and it will definitely be cycled through our game nights, but the funs in playing with 4 or 5 players, it doesn’t really work with just 2. It’s not the same without the noise. Additionally it can be played with the whole family, age isnt a restriction.
From a design point, the wooden dice is a nice touch, and the cards are clearly printed and give a sense of fun. I really liked the addition of facts on each card, and reading these out at the start of each round gives it a sense of occasion.
All in all, I loved this game for family night, and any game that gets you playing in minutes is a welcome relief from the normal 30 page rule book. Not really for dedicated, serious, game sessions, but its not that sort if game.

This is a winner in our family. It’s very quick to learn, easy to play, with a game lasting twenty minutes or so, and inexpensive. There can’t be many games better suited to a wide range of ages. Older members of the family have been around longer, so may know more stuff, but youngsters brains tend to work faster.

Perhaps best of all. minimal space is required, you don’t have to count points and there’s no need for pencil & paper. Wonderful!

The description tells you pretty much all you need to know about the gameplay. Play is fast and leads to lots of fun and laughter.

I have just one criticism — the box. It completely fails to keep the cards in place, leading to a complete mess for you to deal with. I’ve done some work with sticky tape to try and fix it, but really shouldn’t have needed to. I’d deduct a star, but for the fact that it’s such a good game.

Rapid Rumble may not be a sophisticated strategy game but it’s an easy winner in this house.

It can be hard to find games – outside of games of chance – that truly engage the whole family. Either the rules are long-winded and off putting or with games relying on strategy or knowledge young players are often seriously disadvantaged.

Skillmatics’ Rapid Rumble is a game which, as the pack proclaims, is good for players aged 6 to 99. It’s very easy to play – the instructions are clear and comprehensive – and its also exciting and engaging for all concerned as players need to quickly shout out answers.

For children, this is confidence building as well as educational. There’s a total of 120 Category Cards over 4 different categories – Things, Animals, Culture and Science & Nature – along with 100 Letter Cards and a timer. So the other good thing about Rapid Rumble is that it takes up little storage place and could easily be taken on holiday.

I think grandparents would struggle to find a better gift. It was often the case when I was young and an only child, my grandad was roped in as a playmate. There are obvious disadvantages if you’re trying to play Twister in your mid seventies and the action was never as fast as I’d have liked… Rapid Rumble – reasonably priced and playable by all – would have saved my grandad from many a minor injury in the name of fun.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWhat a fun game!
My 7 year old loves it as it gets the whole family involved and there isn’t an advantage with age in fact we find the kids minds are a bit sharper and get the answers in quicker compared with the adults.. which is probably why my daughter loves it so much!
It’s a nicely presented game that looks and feels professional done rather then some slap stick game thrown together.
All the pieces and cards and sturdy and well made.
Great fun and lots of laughter had while playing, plus you get to use your brain so winning is the reward for thinking on your feet.
A game that you can enjoy many times and also play it for long periods without getting bored.
