Has been working without fault for 8 weeks now, good value for money and at this price if it lasts 3 years it will have been worth it.
I bought this lamp in 2013 and it has worked perfectly ever since. My son is just completing an extension on his house and has asked me to order him a couple, so we have a lot of confidence in this product.
First one stopped working after a month but was promptly replaced by Amazon (excellent service). The replacement has been fine and still working after 4 months. Quite bright for its size and the sensor works well. Very pleased.
The replacement from Aug 2014 has just stopped working (March 2015). It has a 3 yr warranty and hoping to get a replacement. We’ll see how it goes. Keep you posted on the progress.
Update: the replaced floodlight has had to be replaced at the light will not stay on for more than a few seconds. Amazon have been brill and are sending a replacement. Thankfully these lights come with a 3 year warranty. Disappointed that they need replacing so soon.
Well constructed with a sturdy feel to it. Bit of a faff to wire up but it works well and is highly adjustable for light and motion. Much brighter than I expected as it lights up all of our 16 sqm patio as well as a good portion of our small garden. Recommended product.
I purchased this lamp a long time back to replace a 500 watt lamp quite impressive going from 500 to 30 watts. I got this lamp at the lower price so was quite happy. I found that the lamp was of good quality but the PIR was next to useless, it is a rubbishy plastic bit of junk. However this to me was not an issue I removed the PIR and fitted an indipendent PIR so this lamp has been in operation now for a few years with no issues at all, the light given off for a 30 watt light is really excellent. I would recommend this light from my own personal experience of using this light.
Bought three when they were < 25. Definitely worth it at this price, but probably not at a higher price. Main gripe; there's no latch-on facility like you get with most regular flood lights with PIRs. Also, one of the 3 was DOA. Not a great indicator of quality, although the other two have been up over a year and haven't had a single issue with them.
Very good value for money and seems well made. The bracket has a good stand off distance from the wall, allowing good downward adjustment. Excellent bright clear light and is better than I expected. I’ve given 4 rather than 5 stars only because the dawn/dusk sensor seems to get confused occasionally by operating in daylight but given it’s only 10w and is one for just a short time I don’t see it as a problem. Overall I believe it is good value for money, recommended.
I bought this as a replacement for my broken 150w halogen floodlight. Being only 10w it uses a fraction of the electricity compared to my old one and is just as bright. The amount of time it stays on is easily adjustable as is how dark it has to be before it comes on. It works better than my old one which annoyingly came on as soon as the light dipped just a little bit. I’ve adjusted this one so that it only comes on when it’s virtually completely dark.
It was easy to install, looks very well made and comes with a 3 year warranty. Excellent product, if you’re after a really energy efficient floodlight for a smallish area you can’t go wrong with this. Highly recommended.
Its easy to setup, small and lightweight and given that it uses a fraction of the electricity a bulb uses gives sufficient bluewhite light.
Have now owned it for less than six months and its not working, was hoping for something with a little longer life expectancy, especially given that you could get at least 2 PIR lights for the same price as this one. This will make me reconsider whether I would spend extra on an LED light, or be a cheapskate and get a halogen unit.
Replaced a 500w (might have been 400w) directly in terms of light output. The space between the bracket screw holes is wider than that of a small 500w halogen so you may need to drill a new hole to fit.
Very pleased but I hope they will come down in price in time.
