This is quite a good little pump, but it will only work if placed in constant sunshine. Also best if anchored to stop it moving around. Only bought as additional aeration for small pond and for the price – not disappointed.
The previous type we had, worked great to start with and then fizzled into nothing, whereas this one, reacts even on the dullest of days and the fish in our pond love to swim under the shower head that it creates.
I’ve created a small bird bath with this and the birds absolutely love it. It’s so lovely to watch the birds drinking and splashing around in the water. Works brilliantly in the sunshine and well worth the money.
Given the price of this item it is very good. The solar power is instant and as long as it is in a sunny position it performs well
It does need anchoring as it wanders around the water feature
Im completely amazed by this. At first I thought it was not working but then out came the sun and away we went. The stronger the sun, the faster the flow so don’t expect it to work on a dull day. It meets my needs perfectly. A little spray and a sound of trickling water.
Love the flower shape which looks really nice in the water and it comes with a variation of water features – one of which is different from my other you get sending water horizontally instead of upwards – the birds love taking a bath in the water.
Can definitely recommend and will get more when my other ones eventually break (which does not occur that often, this one was a replacement for a different one bought 4 years ago!)
I got scared when the sun wasn’t out, as the fountain just spits water from time to time and thought is faulty. But when the sun came out, the fun started!!! Love it!
