Tips
The end of the bar should be chamfered 1*45 degree, and the chamfer is too large to cut in. The bar diameter should be smaller ( about 0.05mm-0.15mm) than the nominal diameter of the required thread. Excessive diameter can easily cause difficult cutting and lead to damage to the die teeth.
When tapping, add suitable lubricating oil to the cutting edge, and repeat the operation 3-4 times until the thread length is obtained. When using by hand, pay attention to even force and avoid blind force.

First time using a die and it got me out of sticky situation, worked flawlessly in cleaning some damaged threads and saved me paying nearly 100 for a new pipe needed for a Citroen C4 gearbox, cleaned up thread screwed back in and no leaks. Happy days indeed.
On reading the description again it does say that this is only suitable for cutting threads in soft material like plastic.
This could cut a thread in a warm cadburys chocolate finger, but it would definitely struggle with a cold Toblerone.

Worked well for re cutting a thread on a lamp
This item was well made, secures dies well. Unfortunately not man enough for 16mm thead cutting, it stretched after cutting 10 new threads with 16mm die.
But perfect for 12mm and bellow
Great tool! Saved me replacing my trailer axle. Thread was damaged and this fixed it in 5 minutes.
