Speedo goggles always seem to fit me the best, no issues with diving.
I’m on week 2 of 5 day a week swimming and have no complaints. Never had Speedo goggles always used Arena but thought I’d give these a whirl for a change! Extremely comfortable. No fogging (I do still use the Arena anti fog spray in these) They are so clear and bright. My old pair were dark mirrored so a huge difference.
Chuffed to bits so far as reasonably priced too
My grandson loved them. Bit fiddly at first but he will I’m sure get used to them. Might have been useful if instructions on correct uses age might have helped
Having been a long time user of speedsockets I hadn’t upgraded in a while. These are the same as ever, classic streamlined profile, ideal for training or competing and look good too. Very happy.
These are for my daughter who swims with a club 3 times a week. I’ve had no.complaints and they stay put well when diving
Sit perfectly snug around eyes, do not let water in, do not fall off when swimming. Easy to adjust and look sleek (in my opinion). Def recommending i
I had many goggles in my life, but these are quite good. They are not too tight, though you may need a little bit of time to get used to them. Also, after 2 months of use no leaking has occurred so far (I swim 6 days a week).
Great pair of goggles, haven’t had any leaking issues and when they have fog up slightly, it soon disappears without any interference. The only reason have taken off a star is because the rubber eye sockets are quite sharp and leave quite big marks after wear (before I got used to them they almost cut my skin!), but would still recommend
I really love these; they’re comfortable and small and give great vision in the pool. I’ve only given 4 stars because they do fog up. I’ve yet to find a pair of goggles that don’t to be honest.
More comfortable than speedsocket 1.. I had to push a little to avoid a leak, afterwards I swum for 2 hours without any leak. I am using the large nose bridge. This design looks really fabulous. However you can look right trough the mirror. I had some other mirrored Speedo googles in the past (Merit, Speedsocket 1, Opal), and they were all MUCH darker tinted. I haven’t tested these outside yet. I tend to use my older mirrored goggles for the sea anyway, because of the sand.
Remember, to avoid fogging, I use a small amount of Palmolive handsoap, and rince it under cold water. Works everytime, good for at least 90minutes. Don’t buy those expensive tiny anti-fog bottles !
UPDATE: These are NOT mirrored!!! When swimming backstroke on a sunny day I have to close my eyes. They look nice, but definintely NOT mirrored !!! You can see right through them from the front too.
By far the best goggles I have ever purchased, have always paid between 20-25 before. The difference is amazing, the only goggles I have ever used which have not leaked for an entire swim. Other larger frame goggles are dependent on face shape where as these being smaller take the factor out of the equation. Worth paying that little extra to be able to just get on with your swim.
Update on the the polarised speedsockets which I’ve had 3 pairs. First couple of swim the rubber around the eye sockets leaked by after a couple of swims they’re more soft and have stopped leaking so are okay.
I already own the original Speedsockets, and they are a good racing goggle, so gave the Speedsocket 2 a try. The shape of the lens has been changed slightly, and for me this was a good thing, as it improves the field of vision. I was a little concerned that the mirror lenses (coloured) may be too dark for use in indoor pools, but they do not add a lot of tint so do not impact my vision. The coloured mirror lenses do have a bit of a rainbow effect, so the lighting in the pool can sometimes look a bit odd, but I didn’t notice after a while.
A downside for me is that the nosepiece cuts into the bridge of my nose slightly, which was also an issue with the original Speedsockets, but that may be down to the shape of my nose, and I can live with it.
I haven’t experienced any of the fit differences between the two versions of Speedsocket goggles that others have reported. I find that the suction on the goggles keeps them firmly in place, and I haven’t had any issues with leaks. They also haven’t fogged up whilst swimming at all.
