Since the dimmer module was added this is a superb choice for anyone wishing to grow on a hobby level. Adjustable ratchet straps included, good wire hangers with centralised loops and packaged to perfection every time, so satisfying to open!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought SF1000 as a first time grower and its been great. After 2 months the dimmer switch was not functioning properly so i emailed the spider team.Although my time was up for returning item they offered to send a new dimmer unit which i could install myself or get a local repairer to do switch and they would pay for the job.I live in small town with no electronic shops for 20 miles. As my plants cannot go lightless this was not option for me.The Spider team understood my dilemma and so not to cause any disruption to my growth they sent a new light and I am very happy with the excellent service they have given me.Awesome.They were not obligated to do this so well done and Thankyou.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this light on a recommendation, it was to help start my peppers and tomatos. It is now used for my succulents while natural sunlight is still low. HOWEVER, i noticed (I did follow instructions) that in both my tomatos/peppers/succulents there was a bit of legginess until i moved the light and plants directly nextdoor to the window.

(I did not do this at first because like most houses in the UK our lounge has a radiator below the window and I did not want the lamp/plants to be too hot.)

This solved all my issues and I have not had anymore stretching/elongating.

The light is more than adequate. To try it out, I chitted some lettuce seeds and put them in a tray. They’re at the point of being ready to plant out in only a couple of weeks, but they’ll have to go into the greenhouse under bubble wrap until it gets warmer.

These lights is the best thing that happened to my plants!
I believe our plants suffer in UK as they do not get enough sun / warmth and remain semi-dormant throughout the year apart from 2-3 weeks when we bask in the sunshine.
The lights not only provide light but also warmth so the temperature in the room increased and it seems like I have just bought myself another window as I seldom use other lights in that room now as it feels like the sun shines from there two.
Apart from that, the design is very ergonomic, light and quiet!

Far surpassing my expectations, first time using LEDs to grow and results so far have matched a 600w hid with ease. Still experimenting with it but found the instructions included to be a superb reference guide, does all that is claimed and more. 5*

The SF1000 led arrived super quickly and very well packaged. That gives me confidence.

Upon opening, everything inside was also very well packaged with no parts moving about.

The light was easy to install with the user guide and supplied rachets.

Machining on the light is very well done, and all diodes are function and BRIGHT. One diode looks dim – that’s the IR diode and is normal.

All in all I’m impressed, and looking forward to growing with it.

I am a light enthusiast. This is the most 21st Century technology I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy – light floods out of a slice of metal covered in diodes with low heat, no fans, quantum heaven. Plants love it too.

Arrived very promptly, very good packaging. My Electricity meter absolutely loves it!! And as for my girls, they pray to it every 12 hours. And have come on in leaps and bounds. Bye-bye HPS. There is no going back now. Thank you spider farmer. I have seen the light lol

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese are the best LED lights I have tried so far, I can not fault them in the veg stage and I am very confident that they will do great things in producing huge beautiful flowers. I have 24 years indoor growing experience of none native hybrid species, using CFL, MH and HPS, I have 4 covering a 1.5 square metre area running at 80% and so far I can not fault them, I will be aquiring a lumateck 600 W Pro soon for another area of the same size to compare. I will post an update and full summary, after the floweing is complete.

I like the warmth and light intensity from this product, it has a great coverage area too, and nice and adjustable dimmer for the ballast, producing nice dense buds and a great spectrum of lights for the plants it keeps cool, runs great, and its very very bright, you’ll need sunglasses on under this light for sure, the thickness of the board is great very sturdy and strong, not cheap in the slightest. Quite a heavy product too which shows its quality my plants loved it highly reccomend this light to anyone with a 3z3 or 2×2 te

Good study build quality and plug n play are the first impression when unpacked. I have Samsung board in the many years past but I’m glad that it has 660nm and IR 760nm, also the balance of 3000K and 5000K for whiter for faster-growing pace.

The dimmer is must feature for microgrowey setup, some people don’t have at least 12-inch space above the plants. The new controller is even better, you can control the light dim on muliple boards from one controller.

This Samsung LED board is best of all LED growlight.

Quality Samsung board, proper passive heatsink

    What a fantastic light!
We got this to help us grow more salads over winter, and it is just what we needed!
A really well packaged product, that puts out a great range of light to keep the plants healthy.
It is sturdy – which is good as I was afraid of breaking it, but the case is firm and I feel confident handling it.
The customer service is also excellent – replies very quickly and very helpful.
Overall I am really pleased with this light – it is going to keep us in fresh salads all year, and will give my seedlings a great headstart come Spring.
    Highly recommended

I was a bit apprehensive about buying a LED light, but I’m glad I did. I’m only growing some veg and herbs but it’s working great so far and I’ve had it about a month. I’ve yet to produce fruit yet but it the Veg stage they are doing great. The heat sink is good it doesn’t produce a lot of heat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really happy glad, I bought it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersYes, I recommend this light. Details below, but if not,its Very bright and my plants love it. I was that impressed with it i bought two of the bigger sf2000! 5/5 love this wee light.

This light is great for 100w,it runs cool and takes up little to no hang space. Connections, powercable, plug, and driver are all good quaility. It is truly full specturm as my plants are short, with very thick stems, big leaves and dense foilage. The plants aren’t streching for light as they are getting the full blue they need. The leaves are big and the lower/under growth is prolific (enough to rival MH lights let alone CFLs.) Meaning they are getting a decent amount of red in there too.(i have yet to fruit/flower but as most recent studies suggest, blue is just as important as red in flower for full expression of the plants traits, spicier peppers, more flavourful tomatoes etc) The addition of an Infra Red LED shows they have put some thought into the make up of the diodes. (this is why i bought the sf2000 aswell as it has two of these IR diodes) Im intrested to see if the fact that it doesn’t have any UV specific diodes will be a detriment or loss , but as it dose have some UV by the very fact its light from ‘white’ LEDs i shouldnt see to many issues. Just certainly not as much UV A B or C as a HID,which is safer for your eyes I guess.

Spider Farmer have really good customer service aswell. They answered all my emails within 24hrs and were happy to help. Really nice to see that from an Amazon listing.

It also came with racket hangers and some plant labels, which is nice. makes it more a complete light system.

Some points to consider are, the cable/lead is not the longest, about 1.5-2m if I can remember. You will need and extension cable close if you are hanging it high(above large pots in a hydroponic system, far away from a power source in a polytunnel for example)
The silicon protection over the face of the board is tacky/sticky and fragile..it should be treated as a bulb would be in a HID or CFL light. Dont touch it or rub it , it will peel. Raise it if you have to work under it.

Other than that, it is a really good light and its worked flawlessly so far. It has a warranty for peace of mind. Anyway, yes, I recommend this grow light.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUsed for a couple of weeks now and my plants and me are very happy with it. I can only confirm the avertised points:
    – No noise! This is a big plus for me or anyone who values a quiet environment.
    – Low power consumption. Electricity bill says thanks and the light output is off the charts compared to other lights judging from the growth of the plants.
    – Small heat production. Should dissipate easy in a normal ventilated space.
    – Nice overall light color. Personally I find the purple ugly, this one appears like sunlight; white with a bit yellow. Allows you to inspect the leaves better as they look actually green.
    – Good production quality. Waterproofed electronics, lightweight and solid assembly.
    – Friendly support. Comes with a nice little manual and some tips.

One little nitpick: dimming the lights require you to literally screw around with the device and isn’t as easy as you’d think. I don’t care about this and didn’t plan to dim them at any point, so no points deducted.

This is a very good light, surely brighter than the sun, but it barely gets warm when used (let alone hot!). The packaging was great, instructions are short and simple, and accessories were provided – everything you need to get this set up properly (including a tape measure!). Thank you 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this light finally after weeks of research and can say this kills any competition out there. There is zero competition between this light and my original 300W led burple and to be honest this is much better than anything I have seen out there! I cannot recommend this enough and my plant instantly responded to it and are now thriving! also I would like to add that the customer service and aftermarket support is by far the best I have seen on Amazon! incredible light and an incredible company selling it! hands down the best so do yourself a favor and invest in 1 already!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have two of these sf1000, in a 90x90x178 DS90 secret jardin tent. Which I’ll be upgrading later this year to a bud box pro 120x120x200.

These lights are fantastic, great simple build quality and waterproof coating on the diodes themself, quality Samsung leds and solid heatsink and meanwell driver! Also dimable. Great quality full spectrum with a mixture of led. Don’t produce mean heat at all and are worth the month all day long.

I’m happy to say I’ve received and started using my SF-1000 W after unboxing it couldn’t be easier to use total “plug and play” I love the design it uses the aluminium back plate to dissipate heat rather than noisy fans saving further power output it puts my other led,s to shame keep up the great work Spider Farme

I love this grow light, and it’s easy to see that my plants are also loving their new source of light! It replaced a very cheap but not so great “blurple” light, which consisted of a smaller number of older, cheaper led’s with a limited spectrum. Growth has picked up speed, and plants look very healthy. Only issue is the heatsink, which would absorb and disperse heat more effectively if it had grooves and fins, I have extended cables so I could move the Meanwell driver to the outside of my growtent, I am sure this will extend service life substantially.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat product and arrives in a box with everything you need to install and get going. This light works fantastically well in my small grow tent and after swapping it out with my 10 year old UFO led light there was an immediate and very noticeable up tick in the growth and happiness of my plants.

As you can see from my picture I added some heat-sinks to the aluminium back plate. Although nice and silent with its passive cooling aluminium back plate it does run hot. I purchased aluminium heat sinks for around 20 and added them to the power-pack/driver and the back plate. The light now runs much much cooler and should last longer – I would even recommend adding more than I did.

Fantastic low price light - requires additional heat sinks in my opinion.

Im very happy with the sf1000. Comes well packed and is well made. Very bright amd my plants are loving it just as much as me. It gets a little hot but if theres a fan that blows across it, it has very little heat at all. Very easy to install and its plug and play basically

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI had been wanting an LED light for my plants for a long time. This behemoth certainly does the job with gusto. It is a powerful beast that you don’t want to stare directly into unless you want temporary blindness or streaks across your eyes for a long time. It is that strong. They give you a cable to attach it to, even a measuring tape to make sure it is evenly spaced wherever you decide to put it. It comes with everything you need to set it up accept securing hooks for the wall itself. But that’s to be expected. This is meant to be an overhead hanging light. Sure you can set it up another way, but if you want to use it most efficiently hang this puppy over your plants. They give you a cable to attach it to, even a measuring tape to make sure it is evenly spaced wherever you decide to put it. I’m really excited to start using this 8-10 hours a day to see just how much impact it can have on my plants. So far it has definitely helped maintain my herbs which would’ve already died in the current wintery conditions.

Much love for this wonderful light!

I spent 6 weeks looking at YouTube and watching and rewatching the technical spec videos, you don’t need to do that.

I’ve done several grows with HPS and also CFL, my latest grow was with a fake 300w LED, the difference between this light and those 3 are not like night and day, they are like day and very, very, very bright day.

HPS runs too hot and is an energy hog.
CFL is ok for veg, but will give a low yield.
I thought my LED was pretty good, but it’s like comparing a house cat to a lion, or a reality TV star to someone with an actual talent.

Using a lux meter borrowed from a friend, this light has a serious footprint, ample for several plants in veg, obviously reduced when plants need light for flowering, the stats say around 2 sq ft for flowering, I think you could probably do a little more but only time will tell. Now i’ve got to admit that I have a lot of very tightly fitted reflective surface, so I have no light loss, you may lose some power depending on your own setup. Even so, it’s a no brainer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is about as good as it gets in the budget range of LED’s and it is competitive in terms of efficiency and effectiveness with much more expensive lights in similar category. Great for 2.5-3ft grow area for vegging, and will be suitable for flowering in 2 ft area.

Samsung LED’s and meanwell driver mean you getting high quality components in a budget light.

Only downside (not really an issue for me) is the dimmer is under the driver and isn’t really meant for everyday use, but would be nice if driver was attached with longer cable and could be left removed from light, making dimmer more easily accessible.

Great light that’s competitive with the best in business such as Migro 100.

    Highly recommeded

ice solid construction, well packaged with some nice bits and pieces, Extremely bright for its size.
I have only been running this for a short while but my plants seem very healthy and have better colour and and size than those under my cheap “400w” red/blue led light.
if it continues to work as well as it has I will definitely be getting another once i have saved up the cash 😀

I am delighted with my spider farmer SF1000 growlight. It arrived quickly and was expertly wrapped. It is a high quality, very bright light but also has a dimmer switch so you can adjust the light for lower light plants. It is noiseless and produces sunlight spectrum light which, besides being good for plant growth and flowering, means that your growspace does not assume the hues of a bordello. I look forward to setting it up for use with my indoor orchids.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLm301b, passively cooled, dimmable meanwell driver, 1.96umol/j ppfd at 100w…. sounds good so far but most importantly….

My succulents love it. I currently have it hanging 35cm from top of plants, powered down to only 50w, running 12 hours a day. That only costs me 2.50 a month in electricity but as you can see from the photos, my plants are looking great! Beautiful stress colours and healthy growth, even flowers developing on some Echeveria (amoena, claret), graptopetalum mirinae etc.
