Needed this for my shop when we started to accept card payments. It is sturdy, very functional and looks good on the counter. Like most things today it was expensive, but compared to other providers of similar products it was comparable.
A little confusing to set up and I was under the impression that the chip reader could be wireless (I know it’s set up to be able to be used without being plugged in but very annoying that the cord does not come off) but still a great product that makes my checkout area at markets look much more sophisticated
La aplicacin Square para iPad y Android es un punto de venta muy verstil y funcional que te puede ahorrar miles de pesos en un sistema de cobro formal. No obstante, la aplicacin solamente funciona al 100 en Estados Unidos, Australia y Reino Unido. En Mxico solamente tienes disponible la funcin de caja de cobro, inventario bsico, agenda de cliente y reportes de ventas en su totalidad. Las opciones de tienda en linea, cobro con tarjeta, tarjetas de regalo y otras funciones que te ofrece la aplicacin, no estn disponibles para Mxico. Yo adquir esta terminal debido a que la necesitaba para un negocio pequeo que no requera de un sistema de cobro muy complejo. Solamente quera una aplicacin que me ayudara a cobrar con mas rapidez y le diera seguimientos a mis ventas del da.
– Si quieres saltar de vender con notas hechas a mano a notas impresas esta es una buena opcin (ojo: revisa que impresoras trmicas son compatibles con la base).
– La base luce muy elegante en la barra de cualquier negocio. Pareciera que hubiera sido diseada por Apple. Recuerda necesitas un iPad para insertar en la base.
– La aplicacin Square te ayudara a darle mas formalidad a tu negocio y agilizar compras de los clientes.
– La aplicacin es gratis de descargar en la App Store o Play Store.
– Con la base, ya es posible conectar impresora trmica, cajn de dinero y lector de cdigos a la aplicacin.
En resumen es un pequeo juguete que lucir genial en tu tienda aunque no puedas sacarle el mayor provecho a la aplicacin. Sigo esperando que pronto estn disponibles todas las herramientas en Mxico.
We are transitioning our business to use square and needed several square stands, decided to try a used product, and got one that had never been used! You can tell box was opened and main stand was taken out, but cords and other parts where never removed. Product works great, and hooked up quickly to our usb printer and cash drawer. Very satisfied.
I went back and forth comparing Point of sale systems for my restaurant and this was hands down the best option! I spent 4 months comparing and square won 10/10 every time! They send you so much paperwork and directions about them it’s so easy! And they also send you 3 mounts for the stand and a drill bit! That’s completely awesome!! They won my business!
I really like this set up. It’s seems every durable, it’s heavy to it won’t get knocked over and it looks very professional. The one issue I’ve discovered with migrating from using Square in my phone to the iPad is the visual grid inventory page set up is limited to 7 tabbed pages which is not enough for my business. I bought this system thinking my entire inventory could be displayed visually, but I can’t. I wish I had been able to read more about the limitation regarding that specific issue. Most people would be ok with that as it allows for 175 individual items to be shown with thumbnails, but for me I’m losing more than half my inventory. Hopefully they fix that issue in later updates.
This was painless to setup and it integrated well with our store printer and drawer. Sometimes the reader is finicky but it usually is resolved by unplugging the usb cable from the hub and then plugging it back in.
This system works great and is very impressive to my customers. I use this in my mobile food trailer and have not had any issues with it. It’s very easy to set up and the fees are reasonable.

I have been using Square for my small business for years. My business is mobile and there are times when getting a signal was challenging. Since I bought this Square Stand for iPad, I have had virtually no problems, what so ever! I am still using the same iPad Pro I have been using…but for a reason unknown to me…Reception is MUCH IMPROVED!! I highly recommend this product.
It arrived on time, was very well packaged, and is still working perfectly.
The quality is AMAZING. The packaging is very well done.. It feels almost like it’s made by Apple (that’s the quality I feel from it). Set up was a breeze, and honestly if you don’t know how to run the app, you can ask any 8 -14 year old to show you how, it’s that easy and intuitive. In the 3 days I’ve used it, it’s made it’s money’s worth about 10-20 times. Plus, the easy tip option made it that 97% of purchases tipped over 2$. Also, it has an offline mode (in case your internet gets disrupted), in which it keeps all that data, and once you are connected to Wi-FI, it processes all your purchases, so you don’t lose out on any sales. Honestly, I’me VERY frustrated I didn’t have this before.

Easy to use, looks great at my front counter. Only downfall is the chip card reader occassionally isn’t recognized and I have to go into settings and link it from time to time. Overall great purchase

We like the stand quite a bit, however the base was turned the wrong way on accident by one of our employees and it broke. Not to the point of where we can’t use it, but there is a tiny screw on the bottom that allows the base to turn and that little screw is what broke.
I have installed the Square POS systems and the users have absolutely loved it. I’ve seen small pen and paper locations move to vigorously checking metrics and sell through stats. System is easy to use and set up.
This stand is nice. Includes adhesive and screw mounts, power cord, USB port adaptor, the stand, an EMV/RFID reader, and base for the reader. $160 is a pretty good deal when the EMV reader and base are $50 and $30 alone.
Worked with IPAD air-2. Unit rotates aprox 180 degrees one way. Can be mounted via supplied self stick pad or via supplied post and nut for through the desk mounting. The usb connections are on a module that is inline between the stand and the stand power supply. This allows you to hide the connections. Pretty good setup and no issues getting it set up.
I bought this stand for our small library so that we could process credit card payments and digital payments (Apple and Android pay). It is VERY simple to set up and install. The iPad pro (sold separately) fits snug in the stand (we bought a glass screen protector for the iPad just in case it fell when we took it out and to protect it from smudging and constantly pressing on the screen). The swipe in the front and the chip reader are easy to use. The chip reader has to charge for an hour or so before you use it for the first time.
In the end this device (paired with the Square service) is a bargain for doing what it does.

Bought this to turn my iPad into a POS . Looks really professional and swivels so the customer can easily see billing etc .
Debated long and hard about getting this. Totally worth it and has been a great addition to my massage business.

Does NOT fit all iPad models that are 9.7″. Works great but have to use an undersized iPad Mini which looks silly.
