I’ve had 2 of these for over a year and they still work great. Surprised they went from 17$ to 40$ each in a year. But they’re great little magnets. The on/off switch is very useful too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese are great. Superior to the standard red magnets in every way. Much easier to put into position without moving your part, no grinding dust sticking to it, and very strong magnet that can hold things up. These are a lifesaver for small fab projects.

Note: tig welding very close to the magnet makes the arc go crazy.

Product works well and the switch is nice to have. Hold power is decent but I would have preferred the hold power to be much stronger though it is enough for most light to medium duty fabrication.

The Magnet itself is heavy for the size and that is meant as a positive comment.

I was thinking at first of buying the 2 cheaper ones on here and in the end decided to buy this one. That was a great move on my part as this magnet has a lot of strength and is big enough to hold heavy pieces of metal.

The best feature is to be able to shut the magnets off and allow one to align two pieces of metal without the metal being sucked into the magnet before one can have them aligned to perfection.

I also have found another good use for it and that is on the table saw where one can position it on any spot on the table for cross cutting measurements .

Now it says that it will hold 90lbs. I am not sure on how they come up with that number as I can pull away any piece of metal with about 10lbs of muscle strength. No big deal as I am very satisfied with it and highly recommend it.

Highly recommend this I use this for a a lot of reasons and have had no issues with it so far. I love the switch makes it easier to clean I am a welder/fitter so metal shavings is everywhere I might just have to pick up some more of these

It’s an awsome idea, but they’re really heavy for what they can hold…if you put 2 of them on the top corner of a horizontal piece of metal like in between 2 posts of a fence….when you do this to have clearance Under the horizontal workpiece, the magnet slides down at the slightest movement…although, they work great in welding table applications…when their own weight is sustained, an added 10lbs of magnetic force would of been great…they look real nice, but are very expensive for what they can hold in my opinion.

I used to have the silver line ones which where not very good, these are a step up in quality and strength… overall they are not bad but could do with being cheape

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGreat magnet for welders who fabricate great ideas. I am a hobbyist welder and I like the ease of placing the magnet (off position) on the material being welded. I turn the switch on, and what do you know it holds the item you are welding perfectly. I was skeptic, who heard of a magnet turning on and off or was this another gimmick. Well it works and I look forward to making good use out of it.

It is perfect for assisting with fabrication. It has a medium level magnetism, and a full on selections. So practical for set-up and final placement. Easy to tack weld. Good choice of angles for my fabrications

Stamped steel body riveted together. Edged are not flat or parallel to each other because of it . A little work on a surface grinder, bench stone or belt sander significantly improves holding power and accuracy. I seen other reviews about the switch . mine have a cast metal one, not plastic like others have said . And its not important but the stickers peeled while not being used

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA good basic magnetic angle bracket. Some of the basic angle brackets are not square and are… well cheep, but these are made well, square and will work with 1″ dia (or larger). round tube too. The magnetic switch works pretty good but the magnet does not seem like it is 90 lb. pull strength. I bought a stronger magnet than I needed and I’m glad I did as I really wanted/needed about 50lb pull, so I ordered a 90 lb.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI am a fabricator and do only custom high-end custom work now. These things are great. If someone is looking for percision tools at this price range they should probably try craigslist or offer up. . You can machine these and make them as precise as your tools and skills will let you. The strength is amazing! Once again for the price point. Magnets will never be “strong” When pulled at an Ingle or Dragon. But this will definitely hold your jogging in place. but it will not compensate for poor fitting. As others have stated, I will not go back to the red magnets
As others have stated, I will not member go back to the red magnets. I will do a weight test later and see if I can post some pictures or a video.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersStrong? Pretty strong. Could it be stronger? Sure could. as you get to the ends of the triangle the magnetic fields become weak. I was holding up large square tubing. 1.75×1.75″ – 11 gauge 3′ long and it was having a hard time when other pieces needed to be held to the large square tubing because the magnetic field became weak at the ends. I love the electromagnetic feature. Turn off the magnet and clean. I also like that I can take my time to set it right where I want it before activating the magnet. the switch is HARD to press to turn on. Caused me to lose exact setting from time to time. Over all good product and made my job a million times easier.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIt’s good and I like the fact that I can line it up where I want it and then turn on the magnet.
Cleaning is easy, even with a lot of metal shavings, I just turn it off and blow some air on it.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it is not 90 lbs, holding force. It’s not as strong as I hoped, but strong enough.
The angles are accurate 90 and 45 degrees.
